Oh, I will be so disappointed if we don't go to Castaway Key. I was sure it said that. I need to always print stuff off so I'll remember. I can't imagine just floating out in the water but I guess Disney does do cruises to "nowhere".

I found a dress at Belks in the 75% off rack. So now I have my dress for dinner. I told DH that he had to wear a tie and jacket. He hates to do it. I told him they are having all these community people on board for the Boys/Girls Clubs so he just needs to suck it up and do it. Grandson will wear long pants and a nice shirt.

I bought candy for the Boys/Girls FEs, pens, pencils, and notepads - 45 kids right? I'll be at your room at 3 p.m. Thanks again for doing this for them. I'm sure Disney is giving them lots of stuff. It will just be fun for them to come back to their rooms and find a little something in their bags. I worked an event on Sunday for the bowl games here in Orlando and the kids were paired with a football player. When it was over the kids got a lot of nice things and one little girl said, "This is great. It is better than Christmas!" So I'm sure these kids will appreciate anything they get.

The first time I had to login under Castaway Club and manually pull up the reservation. After that it started showing on my list. I don't really think we'll get credit but it makes it easier to look at it all the time...

I have pulled up the ressie a few times by confirmation number but it has never showed up on the CC list of upcoming cruises I have.

I am assuming the dress code is knocked up a bit because it is one of the first cruises, and they will be taking lots of photos for promotional things....

As for the weather...you never know! I've swam on Christmas day here in Orlando, yet currently it's 29 degrees! Ya never know!

You're not going to be able to tell what to pack till about a week out, after looking at the weather forcast....

I remember hearing that we will be dining in the restaurants that require you to be dressed up. I don't want to be any more specific than that in case things change or the rep is not reliable. I would definitely bring nice clothes though just in case.

We were in Castaway Cay yesterday and it was pretty cold. Most of the excursions were cancelled and alot of people were wearing jackets. It did warm up for a good hour or so. You could take your jacket off and just have a coverup on. Water was quite cool also. We were just glad to get off after such rough seas. We finally docked after several tries. Castaway Cay looks awesome with all the new improvements! And the Christmas decorations and snow were so cool, I did miss the pirate ship though. It always made the Jack Sparrow pictures look spectacular. We got together with 30 disboard people and did the Castaway Cay 5k. It was so much fun.

As for those of you that are having concerns......

Just my two cents......

I am over the top to be selected for this cruise! I will eat when they tell me to eat, go to which show they tell me to go to, and dress up if they tell me to! For me, this is an opportunity of a lifetime!

To be on a ship before the "Maiden" Voyage!

Just go with the flow........ I'm sure Disney has plenty of surprises for us!

2 cents on going or not going to Castaway- I don't care! I was only going to hop off for a quick trip to the gift shop anyway. I just want to see the Dream!!

Just got my confrimation letter from Steven Amos at 8:42 a.m. We can board at 12:30 and the ship will depart at 3:30. It said we can book spa reservations and adventures in our ports of call - must mean we are going to Castaway Island - yea! I do agree I would have been just as happy being on the boat but did want grandson to try new things on the Island. It did say my room number might change and I won't know dining time until it is confirmed at the pier! This is exciting! We are now official.

Thanks for sharing those pictures! I think I'm going to try to get the kids to do all the wet stuff (if it's available) in one shot and then change (if it's cold). Is the pool heated on the ship?
I just found out none of my kids will be able to get on the Aquaduck since they are shorter than 48"
I do wonder if we will be able to eat in the Enchanted Garden... My DD5 is dying to go there!
I wanted to share that this gets worse by the day... every night we have been looking at pictures and videos about the Disney Dream as a family and I'm starting to get ansy because there is no way we are going to be able to enjoy everything there is on this cruise in just 2 days *sigh*.

First time I logged into Castaway Club and it wasn't there. I went back to the first page and manually pulled the reservation while logged in. The next day I logged into CC and clicked on my cruises (force of habit... I wasn't thinking) and it was there. It has been there every day since.

Anyone else able to get it? Maybe because there are no CMs in our room?

My DW made a beautiful DCL flag for me that I have been planning in having signed by the gang next time we sailed.

Now the question, do you think they will be fulfilling requests like that?

I wanted to share that this gets worse by the day... every night we have been looking at pictures and videos about the Disney Dream as a family and I'm starting to get ansy because there is no way we are going to be able to enjoy everything there is on this cruise in just 2 days *sigh*.

My plan is to see which restaurants we are assigned to for dinner then trying to get to the others for either breakfast or lunch. The Enchanted Garden is supposed to be open for both breakfast and lunch.
