Disney Dream Inaugural Cruise 1/26/2011!

I got my FE's assembled yesterday. Whew! I didn't realize how much that had been weighing on me until it was finished. Now, I just need to finish up my magnets and hem some pants - then I can pack and go!!
 
Have all my FE stuff organized....I haven't seen any responses to those folks who thought they were on the FE list but aren't..... I always bring extra so I have no problem adding them....given that FEs are supposed to be a fun group activity, I'm good with including them :grouphug:

There have been 3 new families added to the FE. I felt the exact same way--about it being a fun group activity. As they are late editions I cannot guarantee them a "full" FE as some people purchased items based on the Dec list numbers, but I know that some of us will have 'extras.' Only two weeks and a day to go until we're cruising on the Dream!!!:thumbsup2
 
"I'll have the veggie option please."

This is what I'll be saying to the member of cabin crew in exactly 2 weeks time when we're somewhere above the Atlantic on our way over to you!

No packing will be done here until the day before .. we're always late packers but it seems to work for us.

I have nearly done my FE stuff though .. just got to transfer the goodies into nicer bags (they're in sandwich bags right now!).
Have a whole stash of British goodies for the BBQ, some extra for our NZ cruisers and some Wispa bars for an ex-pat!:cool1:
 

Here is the list of those who have "volunteered" to share their stateroom for our tour on seaday. Details of the actual tour will be posted in the mini navigator for the meeting place and tour logistics. Time is scheduled for 1 p.m.

If you are planning on touring, no need to do anything, you just show up at the designated time and place.

When: Tuesday January 25, 2011 at 4:00 PM till ???

BYOB (Beverage/Beer/Booze) Beverages are available Turtle Pond BBQ Area

Meet your fellow cruisers before the cruise, stop by and have a hot dog or two and enjoy the company!

Here is our current list of those who have said they were coming to the BBQ, if your plans have changed and you are on this list, please let Lynn or Scott know. If anyone else is interested, please let us know ASAP - folks are trying to figure out how much they need to bring of items they have offered.

For those who have offered this is what we could still use:
Don’t feel limited to this list, bring what you would like to share.
Also don’t feel compelled to bring something as your presence is good enough.

Locals if you could bring a cooler and Ice that might be nice to help keep stuff cool.

Could someone bring a stack of those Hello Name Tags and a sharpie or two? To use till Ken backs up and unloads the semi truck with the Lanyards.

I am picky about hot dogs and only get all beef, probably Ball Park will see what Sam’s Club has to offer. If some one wants to bring something different to grill feel free to do so.

As this is a large group and I do not want to upset the DVC Pool Gods, please do not plan on using the pool unless you have pool hopping privileges etc.

Please let us know, via PM or email, what you are planning on bringing and we will up date this post as we receive updates.

Also any help with set up and clean up will be greatly appreciated. Set up will commence at 3:15 ish.

Guys, I will bring an extra batch of the cookie brownies for dessert.

THANKS for putting this together. Our plane lands at 4:00 pm so we will be arriving after things start, but throw some dogs on the fire for us... we will be there. We have chartered special transportation which will bring us right to the BBQ! :thumbsup2

I hate to see anyone miss out on a little gift, That others maybe passing out to remember your Cruise!!!!!

I say this, as I look at My Panama Canal Magnets someone made and put on my stateroom door! and remember when, as the Wonder goes thru the canal for its Maiden Voyage this week.....

EllaEnchanted - Hey Deb, DUH! I'm such an idiot sometimes. My husband about spit out his coffee when he saw what I had written. I guess I was thinking that the DIS folks would be together for the sailaway party, and he said "Do you realize how many DIS folks there are on this one!?!":rotfl:

So yes, you call us or we'll call you - good excuse to use the Wave phones :cool1:

Maybe we can try one of the clubs and drink a toast to the guys?

how exciting for those upgraded to the concierge level. can't wait to hear about it.
for those single mom's opnboard- my sister in law and i are traveling with my 14 yr old brandon. he would love to meet up with any teens or get to know each other now and we look forward to a drink with any new Dis friends while onboard.
Has the FE roster been updated to include the new families we will have extra gifts and be sure to include them.
Just praying we don't get stuck in PGH with bad weather and miss the cruise.
Has the weather been cold in Nassau and Florida- I haven't checked.
