ok I am excited, I think i see part of the ship being built on the webcam.. :rotfl:

Happy 2010 everyone:wizard:

Only a little over a year to go. :cheer2:

Just wondering if there will be a sign up for Fish Extenders? Trying to figure out how many gifts to prepare?

Also Linda we don't see our name on the stateroom tour. We are a cat 6A, room 9674, we had pm'd you earlier.

We won't be doing Disney at all in 2010, so this cruise (and the WDW DVC trip before and after) are keeping me going through the year :yay:

Blessings! Lin

Do you want your stateroom to be "shown" on the stateroom tour, or just participate in the tour itself. If you are going to be on the tour, but not a host, then I won't need to add you to the list, you will just be told when and where to show up to participate.

How was the marathon weekend? Besides cold ;)

I know from my voice mails back and forth with Shari that on Saturday when the 1/2 marathon started there was sleet. Then she said it turned to rain and it rained the whole da...... race. She said it was the most miserable marathon ever. She said Ken did it too, I think.......

I was at drill team competition all day Saturday it was just as cold in Utah!

Peter-they just released the excursions for the first Baltic cruise. How does this sound?

Building the Disney Dream - Shipyard Visit

Signature Collection Excursion

Price: TBD

On this tour you will:

After an approximate 45-minute van transfer to Rostock-Laage Airport, board your private chartered plane to Papenburg; flight time is approximately 50 minutes. Note: The plane is a Piper PA-42 Cheyenne with a maximum of 7 passengers. Also, this tour includes approximately 2 miles of walking at a steady pace, part of which will be on cobblestones and/or uphill. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
Papenburg is home to the famous shipyard, Meyer Werft. Upon arrival in Papenburg, a private car/van will take you on a scenic tour through the town of Papenburg and the surrounding area.
Continue to a quaint restaurant, the Reiherhorst.
After a traditional German lunch (included in the price of this tour), continue to one of the largest indoor ship building facilities, the Meyer Werft shipyard.
Begin your guided walking tour at the Meyer Werft Visitor Center, which sees approximately 300,000 local visitors each year, where you will get to view the recently opened Disney Cruise Line exhibit.
Continue on your very own exclusive tour of the building dock where you will see the Disney Dream under construction. A guided inside visit of the building dock will be the highlight as you receive a behind-the-scenes preview of Disney's next "modern classic" vessel.
Meet some of the crew members that will be opening the ship in early 2011.
After approximately 3 hours at the shipyard, return to the airport and fly back to Rostock-Laage Airport.
Drive back to Warnemunde.

My partners in crime are faxing the form off to DCL to see what this once in a lifetime adventure will cost us!

I am thinking that the Hall 6 photo shows the forward part of the Dream in front of the Celebrity Eclipse. It looks like the stern of the Dream is not attached. Maybe the stern of the Dream is in Hall 5 on the left side. If I was a betting person I think when the Celebrity Eclipse is completed (In the middle of March: Ems Conveyance of Celebrity Eclipse) they will float the stern of the Dream into hall 6 and join them up.

Linda, yes we want our stateroom to be shown.

You had answered us sometime back saying you were glad to have a 6A to add to the tour, so we thought we were set. Figure with the holidays and all we got lost in the shuffle :)

Thanks! Lin

I pulled out my master list and I do in fact have you listed for the 6A for the tour. Got you listed in 9674. I guess at some point I need to post an updated list. In the meantime, I've got you down, no problem!

We're in, Bronwen and David, Stateroom 2558 9B, Melbourne, Florida, Platinum.

Sounds like lots and lots and lots of fun!

Opps, forgot to add main dining.

Good Evening Cruisers!

We took an evening off from the Parks, so I thought I would catch up on the boards!

Yes, the races were cold! I'm not sure where Shari was on Sat, where I was standing waiting for the race to start, it was SNOWING! It was a very cold race, and the next day that I volunteered for a water stop, it was even colder - but not raining or sleeting. The water from the cups that fell on the road froze - I spent the whole race yelling "be careful, the road is icy" not the normal thing to have to say in Florida. I did finish the 5K and the 1/2 marathon (barely). Scott actually did the "Dumbo" - several of his friends got together and ran another 5K on Monday and called it the Dumbo!

Have a great evening all!

Back from Mexico. I noticed my last post said I was headed there to get some sun. Well, we arrived to rain all day Saturday with a high of 65 and cloudy the next couple of days. Finally got full sun and 80 degrees the last couple of days. The weather honestly didn't spoil our trip. In fact, it made it nice for visiting Chichen Itza, the Mayan ruins.

Hope everyone is finally warming up. Denver had it so nice the last week. It was in the 50's.

Back from Mexico too! It was a great time but now our next vacation isn't until this cruise :( Looking forward to planning to keep me busy!
