Anyone else plan on running the Castaway Cay 5K? DH and I are runners (well, I'm a runner, and DH tags along)... not speedy at all, but I love it! Have not yet completed a half, but keep on trying.... (IT band! yuck!). did the ToT13K in it's last running.

Anyway... anyone who may be running it, what do you think of making our own tech shirts?

We are walkers but would be interested in participating. Any thpughts on where the 5K would start and finish? I think from the the ship to the air strip is a mile and aroud the path to the observation tower is just under a mile. Anyone have more specifics? Alex

Alex exactamundo on the route. We have done it and the water breaks are really welcome. Hard part is working your way through the crowds at the start.

Good afternoon all ...Now that the Baltic is done it is time to start concentrating on this one! We are planning (hoping that is) to spend 3 days at Disney before the cruise, and then three days after the cruise at Universal. I have a booking for some nights at Pop before the cruise. Hoping they release a good deal for late January. Free dining would be nice. Would have used DVC points, but used them all up for my Alaskan cruise. Want to book onsite at Universal for the front of the line benefit. Anyone stayed there, and if so, which hotel do you recommend?

I have stayed at Universal once, at the Portifino Bay. It is really nice and REALLY huge. My sister had a pedometer and it said it was 1/4 mile from the elevator to the parking garage to our room!! Our room was super close to the boat shuttle though, so that was nice. It was kind of a confuing layout for the hotel too, we got lost a couple times. If you stay there, I would recommend looking at a map and maybe requesting a room in the area that would work best for you because otherwise you could end up doing a lot of walking around that place!! But, the rooms are huge also!! I swear, the bathrooms there were as big as the rooms at Pop!! I haven't stayed at the other two...but I can recommend portifino!!

We stayed at the Royal Pacific Resort last year and it was lovely. The beds were the comfiest I have ever slept in, including my own! And, not that you should book it just for this, but the bamboo body lotion you are supplied with is to die for!!

All in all a lovely hotel, the cheapest of the 3, a 10 min walk to the park entrance or a 5 min boat ride. And those FOTL passes .. brilliant!
