I love this shot, I can see my room! #6690 :cool1:

Here is confirmation that the verandahs are not solid!!! pirate:

While not solid, the metal part still looks pretty tall. See how high it comes up on the man who's standing by the middle verandah room, an how high it comes up the stepladder (at least from the angle of the photo.)

Are there privacy walls between the balconies?

The Dream is supposed to have balcony dividers that can be opened up when you have connecting rooms (unlike the current ships). But it's hard to see any dividers across those back rooms from the picture.

There are people standing on my balcony! We are in 6690 too (seems to be a popular choice with DISers) and it definitely does not have solid railings.:banana: SucalT and LuvsBlueDiamonds, I'll take good care of it for you (we are going in July) and I'll take lots of pictures - although I hope some earlier cruisers post plenty of their own.

We're in 6690 on the May 22 '11 and Nov 13 '11. Can't wait. :goodvibes
6690 is not connecting to another room, so if there are dividers, the one between 6192 and 6690 technically shouldn't be "removeable". There appears to be a solid/fixed divider between 6690 and 6688. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few months.

Yes… the man IS standing. But also mind the angle of the picture and the position of the man. The man is standing near the door and the angle of the shot is pointing up. The view of the man appears to be smaller because of the photographer's position. If the picture was taken at a horizontal angle, pointing directly straight, the wall wouldn't look as high as it does in the picture.

Ok see that but how do we know that is a deck with rooms and not a promonade deck like deck 4 currently on the Wonder and Magic
What I see is a few portholes which means these are not verandah rooms

sorry for the REALLLY late reply, but those staterooms, if I am correct, are one of those accessible rooms and those special rooms come with two portholes AND a verandah! (how lucky! :goodvibes)

Did anyone ever figure out the solid vs. partial wall debate? I actually read all the posts and no one says! I will be in 10600 and would love to see pics of either this room or a nearby one :)
TIA

I believe they are solid for the bottom 1.5 feet-ish and clear for the top 1.5 feet-ish. pirate:

We were in a Cat 6A aft/deck 8; the last two rooms on the side of the boat. The bottom is solid white; however DD (18 mo) was able to clearly see over the top of the white part. She's about 32 inches, so I imagine the wall was maybe 2 feet; the rest was open. She loved it!

The Disney Dream has Whitewall verandahs, I know from experience. Although, there are only a few on each deck and they are on the furthest aft balconies.

More info please.....how high were the white walls on your verandah? Full wall (chest high) like on the Magic/Wonder (as seen in the pic below) or partial wall/partial plexi.... like what is being described above?

Please post Cabin #'s....thanks!
