Hi there disney67, looks as though we will be joining you on this cruise. Sailing along is me Leslie 53 dh Terry 52 and my 2 daughters and their families. the grandkids ages run from 19 to 3 years at time of cruising ,there will be 12 of us in total. Dh and I took 2 of our grandchildren with us on the magic 7 night western cruise last November and we loved it!We had planned on doing a 7 night in March 2011 but our plans have changed and will be doing this date instead . just wish it was a 7 night instead of a 4 but am looking forward to the new ship, as well we will be spending time at disney before the cruise. Dh and I may consider doing a back to back and make it a 7 night Im just in the planning stages and will deciede soon! Looking forward to chatting with you and meeting your family!:cool1:

This will be our part 1 of our b2b also. This will be our 4th and 5th cruise.

It'll be myself, dh and ds(then 11).

We had a great price so we invited all our friends and family to join us for the b2b or even just a piece of it.

Does anybody know if they'll do pirate night still?

Hi there mattmommy I was wondering about that as well, hope someone can give us the info! It will be part 1 of the cruise for us, just booked it as a backtoback this afternoon! This is our 2 and 3rd disney cruise, booked a balcony this time around as with the last cruise we were in an oceanview cat, 9, sooo looking forward to early morning coffee and watching the sun come up from on our balcony.:cool1:

Hi mattmommy and bound for disney for a while i did not think anyone was going to join me on a short trip lol . I choose the short trip because this is going to our first cruise ever . I just did not want to do a cruise but when i herd about the deam and went to the house party that a TA friend hosted I could not say no as well as the price for the 4 of us . So i'm a rookie if you guys have any suggestions?? they would be greatfully appricated . And what is the pirate party ? I realize til the maiden voyage there is not going to be much feedback and hints . And I do not know wheather we want to do a land part before or after ? do you guys have any hints on which would be better ? Cause i'm leaning too after but do not know if it is better . hope to talk to guys soon have a magical weekend :)
Jeff and Family

Hi disney67, was wondering where you were lol! As far as going to wdw before or after the cruise I would say before would be the one to go with, we did before and after last November , but it was a 7 night so that may have factored into why I prefer to do before. That being said it looks like we will be doing the same thing again with this cruise only because of other family members meeting up with us at disney, my daughters and dh and I will be staying for a couple of nights before but then my sisters and mom will fly down after we are back from the cruise so we would be staying for 5 nights after as well. The cruise is just so relaxing , going to the parks beforehand you get all the fastpaced stuff behind you and then you can just wind down once you set sail. I have found that most people have said the same thing parks before the cruise. :thumbsup2

disney67 feel free to pm me with any questions and I will answer as much as I can. Looking forward to meeting you and your family on the Dream!:cool1:

Okay here goes as much as I can remember from our past cruise, as far as passports being from Canada we did have to have them I would imagine you need them as well, although we had no issues at all with customs. It was no problems going off ship into ports you just needed to show your id when you were getting off the ship , we had taken 2 of my grandkids with us and we never once were asked to show any documents showing we had parental okay. We did the 2nd seating for dining and will go with that once again.
gives you more time when on castaway cay or when your in port, I thought perhaps it wouldnt work out so well eating that late at the time but it really did work out well! what stateroom cat. are you? Bring an over the door organizer as it helps to keep every thing organized in the bathroom that you need, frees up space and clutter. If you are thinking of dining at palo book it as soon as you are able to when the booking opens up as reservations go fast. I found that out last time but waited to late to book so it was a no go, will be booking asap this time around! we did disney transfers to the ship what are your plans as to getting there?:cool1:

We have a Cat 9A i wanted an ocean view cause it would be nice to wake up and see the sea around you . I do not think we are going to get off in the bahamas might hit a massage that day daddy needs to be spoiled lol. deffinetly going to castaway cay and did you guys do the sting ray thing with the kids ? how did you like it ? and is it worth doing ? As per the seating i think my TA said second seating is better and i plan on palo or the new one if i can get the french one forgot its name ? our toiletries it has a hanger attached to it so it can hang Thanks for the great advice if there is anything else you can think of please post . I soo appricate anything you share with me . THANK YOU :)

Hi disney67 happy 4th of July weekend! We did a fishing excursion from castaway cay ,well my 2 grandkids and dh did I stayed on the beach soaking up the sun! They really enjoyed it,dh and my granddaughter swam with the dolphins in Cozumel and loved it! May book something like that if possible in Nassau for my other grandkids that will be going on this cruise. We had an ocean view last cruise it was awesome Im sure you will be glad you booked that cat. Im hoping to book onboard for the next year when the fantasy will be sailing, it does give you a better deal to book while onboard so keep that in mind. We added our tips to our payment when paying off the cruise it made it much easier and will do that again for this one. Hope that these tidbits help!:cool1:

Hey Howdy Hey.

We are booked on this cruise. This will be our third cruise. We have done a 4 day in 2007 and a 15-day eastbound repositioning cruise from LA to Fla thru the Panama Canal in 2008.

For those who have never sailed w DCL - it is a wonderful vacation... and once you've taken one... you will be looking forward to the next... they are quite addicting.

I would recommend doing parks before the cruise. That said, I have done both (before and after).

As far as Nassau goes, I highly recommend renting a day room at the Comfort Suites on Paradise Island. This will give you access to the Atlantis pools and facilities (which the DCL excursion does not).

We are doing an inside stateroom for the 1st time (we did Balcony Staterooms previously).

Any interest in fish extenders?

Welcome silmarg. glad to see some more joining us on this date! Im game for the fe, so who else will be cruising along with you? :surfweb:

Hi! :flower3:

We will be on this cruise as well. It will be the second leg of a B2B for us. We have been on the Disney Wonder in 2009 for our first cruise and loved it so much we are going back for a B2B this summer. (Aug 26 - 29 and Aug 29 - Sept 2).
I am going to book the cruise while on board (I am the discount lady! ;)) hoping they will do the book while on board discount again.

I travel with my brother Tom who is a HUGE lover of all things Disney and we usually stay at Disney for 4 weeks. Travelling from Austria on a 10 hour flight it is just so relaxing to have such a long vacation during the summer.

I would also LOVE to join a FE exchange! We had so much fun on our first cruise doing it! Loved the comments from walkers by that we were with the "fun group"! :goodvibes

To the OP - you are going to love DCL and are going to have a blast! :thumbsup2

and loved it so much we are going back for a B2B this summer.

30 days of disney fun sounds like a dream come true... in reading you post and your other planning thread it seems like you are talking about a 2010 vacation... but this thread is for a 2011 cruise.

Will you still be joining us?
