Disney Dream August 7, 2011

I booked Atlantis and parasailing for 2 of us (now to try to get them to add DD to this excursion--I THINK/HOPE they will do it!), and a dinner at Palo on the night I wanted. Yay!

Am considering canceling Atlantis and booking a room at Comfort Suites instead. Not only cheaper, but seems like we'll get an extra good 2 hours if we do it on our own. I've read lots of great stories of people having done this---anyone here have personal experience with it?

I sure was TIRED last night trying to stay up to book these things at 12:01! : - ) After several glasses of champagne at Mother's Day dinner, I was having a hard time keeping my eyes open! But will be well worth it if we can get DD her birthday parasailing!

Ooooh, and it's DONE! YES!!!!!!!! The manager DH spoke to last week was true to her word. She said if we could get a spot for the 2 adults online, then to call her and she would add DD to the reservation. Just checked online and all 3 of us are now listed.

Yee haw!!!! :cool1:

Yay!!! I just knew that someone at Disney would be able to help you. :)

Which time are you going parasailing? We're also going on the 1st CC day- I booked us for 9am.

We'll probably pass each other getting off and on the boat--our reservation is at 10am. I thought about doing 9, but wanted to have time to stake out a couple beach chairs or a shade tree on the beach before heading over.

You are going to just love para sailing. When DH and I did it 10 years ago, it was truly magical!!!

LOL, I almost booked for 10am... but I know my nieces and if I booked 10, that means we wouldn't leave the ship til then. ;) This way we can parasail, then spend some time on the beach before lunch.

I've parasailed at WDW, but the nieces haven't ever done it.

We are paid in full now and I booked excursions today! Parasailing on Monday, Atlantis Adventure and Jet Skis on Thursday. Can't wait! Last time we were at CC, parasailing was canceled due to high winds, so here's hoping the second time is a charm.

We are in at Remy on the final night of the the cruise, which is what I really wanted! I was also able to book a 1/2 day island tour excursion in Nassau that our cruising buddies wanted to take with us. No Palo brunches available last night, but I have high hopes of snagging that once we're on board. I also tentatively booked a facial for our sea day...but since I have the Nassau morning free, I think a port day special will be right up my alley before we head out :)

Glad everyone is getting want they were hoping for! :cool1: DH is poking around with the pay off...so no bookings for us yet. Hopefully he will soon. I am not really dying for anything this time...just some dining reservations.

89 days!!!!!

Still working on my diet...going nowhere fast! I can honestly say that I am exercising hard. So if anything I will be somewhat in shape. Sure wish that scale would go down faster for me!!! DH is doing really well, too. He has lost 12 in 2 weeks...NO FAIR!!!! I am happy for him, it just stinks that I can't lose it as fast!:)

I've lost 14.6 in 4 months, definitely not enough but way better than what I would be if I hadn't tried.....you're not alone....don't give up!!:cool1:

Keep at it! I recently lost 30 pounds in about 14 weeks, and so far have stayed steady for 6 weeks with it. So nervous to regain! For the first time in YEARS I feel ready for bathingsuit season! You can do it!!!

Thx to you and kk for the support. I am not giving up. I exercised for over an hour today. I am on a mission.

Oh...congrats you 2. How did you 2 lose it? Weight watchers?

I did a program called Weight and Wellness...which is kind of a combination of Weight watchers (meetings, weigh-ins...) and Jenny Craig (special food for 2 meals per day). It worked for me because it gave me very limited choices, and I totally needed that structure! I'd been dieting and exercising on my own for months without results so this was perfect for me. The classes were about nutrition, food choices, etc...so that once you are done with the special food, you have a better chance of making good choices! Little changes can really add up. Like right now for dinner I am having an egg salad sandwich. But instead of mayo, I mashed the eggs up with low fat cottage cheese and some pepper, and instead of bread, I used a pita pocket....and then I loaded it up with green veggies....it's a big, satisfying dinner. 4 months ago, I'd have been having pasta...or cheese. Or pasta with melted cheese, lol!
