It's never too late to join in on the fun! :woohoo: I am going to add you all to our first page along with another new DISer who posted yesterday.

Are you all seasoned DCL cruisers...or will this be your first? :confused3 We have a wide range of folks on this cruise. We are looking forward to some warm weather, smooth seas, and great drinks! :goodvibes

Please ask if you have any questions! Again, welcome to our sailing! :thumbsup2

Whoo hoo! Look at these tickers! Proving that diligence pays off......I have been checking daily for a discounted EPCOT resort for the night before our cruise. Not feeling the love for the Swan, even though we have a great price. Been reading reports of threadbare sad looking standard rooms. On Sunday I had someone find a "flex offer" for BWI for ~350 a night, but it disappeared before she could lock it in. Well, after she told me to keep checking back for it or something else to reappear I got lucky a little while ago. The CM managed to get it for 30%off, 4 1 day base tickets and the room ran $747. I know it's high but we're also celebrating our 20th anniversary as well! Now to cancel the Swan........ and keep this a secret from the girls!

This is our first cruise of any kind. We are a bit nervous about being sea sick and all of the procedures/processes there seem to be, but reading these boards has made us feel like veterans!

first time cruisers from GA here, I agree about the sea sickness, concidering trying out the Transderm SCOP patches before we go to see if I have any reaction. I used to use them 20 years ago on small seagoing watercraft, don't know if the size of the ship will make a difference.

jawdropper - Well you found the right place to get information about Disney cruising! :thumbsup2 There is a wealth of knowledge about DCL on these boards. Again, let us know if you have any questions that you can't find answers to. :goodvibes

Seasickness - This one is a tricky one. We have cruised 5 times now...and we always take Dramamine Non-Drowsy (the 24 hour kind) every night at dinner. We start the night before the cruise...and we continue with it until about three days after cruising. We get that seasick! My youngest only takes 1/2 of a pill. We have cruised with other people who never have to take anything! If you know that you get seasick...bring something to cure it...or go ahead and start taking something ahead of time. If you do not know that you get seasick...you will find this out by about 6-6:30PM on the first night while we are cruising. :headache: Some of you will be at dinner...others at a show...but you will know it immediately! As soon as you get that feeling...take something! It takes about 30-40 minutes for it to kick in...but rest-assured...once it kicks in...you will feel immediate relief. Now there are some of you that will not get seasick with the normal rocking of the ship, but if there are rough seas...or one night when we were rescuing somebody...the ship gets to moving...and seasickness can set in. Again, take something immediately. :rolleyes1

I am by no means an expert on getting sea-sick. I just know that my crew suffers from it...and this has worked for us. :upsidedow

As far as the ship size and seasickness. From what I have cruised on...the two smaller DCL ships and the Liberty of the Seas (RCI's second largest ship)...A ship rocks no matter what! Our first cruise on the Liberty was in December...and that shipped rocked! Our second cruise on the Liberty was in August...and the seas were way more calm...and the ship did not rock as much. So it all depends on sea conditions...IMHO. princess:

I hope that everyone is having a great week!

I hear you about living at the mall, (although I haven't been to a real mall) But I am on my fifth pair of sandals for Holly it seems everything is too big or too small. Lucky for us we have a Kohls here that opens at 8am and I can stop by on my way to work. Been there twice this week already.

Hope you have a good week, only 21 More Sleeps til we leave!:banana:
