DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

Ah -

Also if anyone is interested in making T-Shirts right now AC Moore has 5 heavy cotton t-shirts for $10 I think 2x & 3x were 3 for $10:goodvibes

And the women's T-shirts are NOT on sale at that price. I was going to get 3 Men's & 2 Women's till the girl saw the price & wondered why they weren't all ringing up the same & then noticed that some where women's. The women's were ringing up at $5.99:scared1:. Big difference from $2/ea. I put the women's back & got 2 more Men's. I got white ones yesterday & Lime Green ones the last time they were on sale. Picked up my picture transfer paper, too. Now all I have to do is do the pictures to transfer.

Just checking in to say hi! Baseball has really taken over our lives at the moment. It helps pass the time though :goodvibes We got all our cruise shopping down this last weekend and the bags are all packed. We also got the camper ready for our first trip this weekend. Hopefully the rain and storms will pass us by.

Does anyone know how much bingo costs to play on the ship? I would love to try a game. Also, I have never had champagne but I'm willing to try it.

Hi Michelle,
I think you have to sign up for the champagne tasting once you on on board. Not sure where tho. Someone mentioned it was on Nassau day around 3:30pm. I will have to make sure I am back from my Atlantis excursion.

We are doing an Atlantis excursion too! We are doing the aquadventure. =)

Signing up for any of the tastings is at the Guest Services desk. On one cruise, we had to wait till the day of to sign up, on the last one, we signed up when we boarded. On the 4-day cruise last week, the tasting was at 3:30 pm in Pink and it cost approx. $20 I'm planning to do the champagne and the martini tasting (the Godiva chocolate martini is absolute heaven!!) and I'll be happy to save a seat for anyone who cares to join me. DH will be off doing his own thing, so I'd welcome the company whether you wear a tiara or not!!

Found this on another thread about Bingo for Angie:
"I can't remember exact price, I just remember "insanely expensive" - like $50 for 4 games. They only play 4 games in a row a day and you only get one card. If you play every day, there's either a discount or a free card on the last day. I'm not 100% positive this is completely accurate but I remember that when I read the price and number of games included in that price ..... .... ummmmmm, oh, heck no!! I'm sure there are other things to do."

Only one card?!! Gee, what fun is that??!! Plenty of other things to do with my money.

Getting serious about my FE stuff and packing, now. Tax season is officially over and although I have lots of other work to do that got pushed to the back burner, so to speak, I am most assuredly ready for vacation!!!

Wow! $50 would be out of my price range for bingo.

Found some info that might be helpful:

Dinner times are now 15 minutes earlier — at 5:45 and 8:15 p.m. For those with the second seating who are concerned about attending Mickey’s Pirates IN the Caribbean beforehand, the deck party also has been moved up — at 7:45 to 8:05 p.m. Buccaneer Blast (the fireworks) still is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. There will be two presentations of the stage shows each night — at 6:15 and 8:30 p.m. — with an additional viewing of the new Disney’s Believe at 4 p.m.

Disney Cruise Line lowered the minimum height requirement to 42 inches for a child to ride the water coaster with someone 14 or older. To ride alone, kids must be 54 inches tall and at least 7 years old.

DCL recently began offering passengers the option to buy a CD of all the professional photos taken during their trips. (Previously, only individual prints could be purchased.) The cost is $150 per photo CD, which includes only photos linked to one stateroom. Multiple staterooms cannot be combined on one CD. However, if a guest purchases a photo CD, prints of the photos are discounted by 50 percent.

Bingo is crazy insane. I am hoping to join in on the Champagne tasting. Hopefully, if on Nassua day, we will be back on the ship in time.

I did bingo last cruise and had a BLAST! Won some freebies too - coffee mugs, pins - that sort of thing. I think I paid $45 and it was one 'card' but it was an electronic card that had multiple games programmed into it. It was actually pretty cool and lots of fun. I plan on going again - not to all of them, but to 1 or two.

Depending on day/time I'll be doing the champagne tasting, wine tasting, and martini tasting. DH likes all of the above so he may or may not be there depending on what's going on. He WON'T wear a tiara though! :rotfl2: Odd are- if I have mine on he'll sit on the opposite side of the room!! I think I may splurge and buy myself a new one just for this cruise - especially since my 5 year old stole all of mine!!!!!!

I'm still torn about doing a T-shirt. I really stink at making them myself. I will have my bracelet on all the the though, so I should be 'visible' at all times!! I plan on sunning myself to the max on the at-sea day so the t-shirt will hardly be worn!!

Anyone know where they are doing hair braiding- I want to get mine done so I don't need to deal with it AT ALL! I want a totally 'worry free' cruise and my hair always is a mess when I travel. So I thought 'what the hell - might as well do the island thing...". I'm most likely doing Bella's hair too!! I'm hoping to get it done on day 1 - we won't get ON the ship until about 2-2:30 so if I can get it done then I will, otherwise I'll try after dinner or first thing on CC the next morning.

I found this from a 4 day:

Hair-braiding can be booked onboard and usually is done on one of upper decks. The current schedule, which is subject to change, is:

Port Canaveral: 6 to 10 p.m.

Nassau Day: 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Castaway Cay Day: 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Sea day (on the four-day sailing): 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Hi everyone -- sorry if I am jumping in at the wrong point-- but very technically challenged here and couldn't figure out where to start --- looking forward to champagne tasting with tiaras -- fabulous ladies!! The Hon from Baltimore will be there -- sorry if I am posting in the wrong spot guidance appreciated

Aww - come on! He won't wear a tiara. I think I could talk my dh into doing it just for the fun of it.:lmao:

Maybe we should put the 2 of them together - without the tiaras.

I don't recall thinking that the bingo was too terribly crazy...but i did notice that everyone that won pretty much had sprung for the electronic things, which I will do this time :)

Funny story....our Bingo Emcee (natalie from the magic) had us play a round where we had to get all of the "B" column and all of the "O" column. She said "Now, if you win, you must stand up and shout out 'I've Got B.O!!!!"

Guess who won?! ME! And did I stand up and shout just that?! Yes I did! (I didn't want to her to tell me I didn't do it right and therefore didn't win"

But hey, I won $250 so it was worth 30 seconds of embarassment :thumbsup2

Hey Teresa,
We are both from MO.....:thumbsup2
When are you guys flying down to Orlando? Do you fly out of STL or Springfield,KC?

DD and I are flying in on the 28th....Then staying in for 3 nights at AKV after the cruise...My friend cancelled on me 2 days before final pmt...so now it is a Mother Daughter trip...That is fine....:cloud9:

Well other Angie....I might just have too find u at those wine drinking events! LOL :rotfl2: I love it and I do like some champagne if it is not too dry... I just need to find some adult things to do while DD is hanging at Vibe..

Hi Michelle!
We are about 30 miles south of Springfield, so we try to fly Allegiant from there if at all possible. Our experiences with them have been great. Tried Airtran out of Branson last year, and BIG mess so never again. We are flying in on Saturday and staying at Downtown Disney to play around and will drive over to the port on Sunday morning. I love AKL; it is our favorite hotel. We stayed there after our last one too and got lucky enough to be picked as family of the day and upgraded to Conceirge. Best surprise ever! I read your post about your friend cancelling on you. Maybe it just changes the kind of trip you will plan, not how much fun it will be! DH is not big on activities, so maybe we could meet up for something if you want to go with someone. Definately the champagne tasting is going to be fun! As many of us as there seem to be, they may want to set up one just for us or better yet, give a DISGroup discount ! :lmao:
