DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

DH & I did BINGO on the last day of our Magic cruise. We got 2 machines at, I think $75/ea. The last day is more expensive because the 4th game is a cover-all for the large jackpot.

The second game my machine started blinking to tell me that I had 1 number left. They tell you to stand when it blinks. There were a few people standing and when the pulled the next number my machine said I had BINGO. The next game I was standing again and they looked up and laughed and asked if I had a body guard with me if I won again and I pointed to DH. A few numbers later his machine started to blink & I told him to stand. He said it wasn't necessary. The next number called his machine showed BINGO. I ended up yelling because he just sits there & I was afraid they would call another number & he would lose his BINGO pot. Between the 2 of us we walked away with about $375 after subtracting the $150 for our machines. For the final BINGO I was standing again, but somebody else won. Believe it or not, he was from Philly. So out of 3 games played that day, 3 Pennsylvanians won. What are the odds. Probably as high as both DH and I each winning.

I don't know if we will play this cruise, because I don't think we could be that lucky again.

Hi everyone -- sorry if I am jumping in at the wrong point-- but very technically challenged here and couldn't figure out where to start --- looking forward to champagne tasting with tiaras -- fabulous ladies!! The Hon from Baltimore will be there -- sorry if I am posting in the wrong spot guidance appreciated

Welcome! :welcome: The more champagne tasters the merrier!

Welcome! :welcome: The more champagne tasters the merrier!

:welcome:zimaaaaaah. I was originally not going to do the Champagne tasting because of trying to limit my alcohol, but this does sound fun. I may rethink this. I've still got 5 1/2 weeks to decide.

Just checking in to say hi! Baseball has really taken over our lives at the moment. It helps pass the time though :goodvibes We got all our cruise shopping down this last weekend and the bags are all packed. We also got the camper ready for our first trip this weekend. Hopefully the rain and storms will pass us by.

Does anyone know how much bingo costs to play on the ship? I would love to try a game. Also, I have never had champagne but I'm willing to try it.

You MUST try it then! I never did for a long time because I am more of a Jack & Coke kind of girl, but once I did, if its there, I'm there dude! I have to pace myself though or end up :faint:

I'm sure they are probably (sadly) tiny glasses, so it will probably up your fun level more than your alcohol level. :goodvibes

OK - probably way off topic (is anything on this thread actually on a topic???) - anyway- I need a pirate font (Free of course) and I need suggestions!!!
I started working on my magnets.
Those of us doing them, should we post them here so we can all steel from eachother?? LOL!!!!!

With only 6 wks to go, I'm already brain dead and need help!!!!!!

Signing up for any of the tastings is at the Guest Services desk. On one cruise, we had to wait till the day of to sign up, on the last one, we signed up when we boarded. On the 4-day cruise last week, the tasting was at 3:30 pm in Pink and it cost approx. $20 I'm planning to do the champagne and the martini tasting (the Godiva chocolate martini is absolute heaven!!) and I'll be happy to save a seat for anyone who cares to join me. DH will be off doing his own thing, so I'd welcome the company whether you wear a tiara or not!!

I'd love to join you at the martini tasting. My tablemates from my last DCL cruise introduced me to those chocolate martinis. Yum Yum!! I also plan to go to the champagne tasting and may do the wine tasting as well. Geez - sounds like I am a lush!! Looking forward to meeting you and other DISers at the tastings!! I have a small tiara I got from the Target Dollar bin last December. Not fancy, but it's a tiara just the same.

Thanks for the welcome -- looking forward to meeting lots of double dippers at the Sunday night meet/greet and def. at the Champagne tasting and hopefully wine tasting . Getting a little cruise crazy cant wait for that 40 days to fly by. Or is it 39 days now --- almost !

So I have a question y'all. We had a cutoff date of last Friday for FE signup. But I've had a couple people ask me about joining since. I feel sooooo bad turning people away. I am the type of person who always makes extra to make sure now one is left out. Do you think we should add late joiners to the list with a notation? And if you can, you add them to the list, and if you can't, you can't. Or should we do a hard cutoff? :confused3

I use "Pieces of Eight" for Pirate & "NewportClassicSG" for the DCL font.

I am willing to contribute too - FE Cruise Tink thanks for the preview fun for the cruise. Kath

Thanks so much for offering, I think we've got it covered! You can still pick one up when we distribute them. Which reminds me, we're distributing to people who have disnames on philatiger's roll call, so make sure you're on that list!

Found some info that might be helpful:

Dinner times are now 15 minutes earlier — at 5:45 and 8:15 p.m. For those with the second seating who are concerned about attending Mickey’s Pirates IN the Caribbean beforehand, the deck party also has been moved up — at 7:45 to 8:05 p.m. Buccaneer Blast (the fireworks) still is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. There will be two presentations of the stage shows each night — at 6:15 and 8:30 p.m. — with an additional viewing of the new Disney’s Believe at 4 p.m.

Disney Cruise Line lowered the minimum height requirement to 42 inches for a child to ride the water coaster with someone 14 or older. To ride alone, kids must be 54 inches tall and at least 7 years old.

Thanks for the update. I'm really glad about the Aquaduck lowering the minimum age, because otherwise my daughter wouldn't have been able to go.

I think adding people on with a notation is fine - some folks are just finding us and then I'd set a hard cut off for May 15th.
Just my two cents!!! I should have a few extra of some things- and not of others.

I think it would be fine to add them as long as you note which ones are late in case someone doesn't have enough for everyone. I think May 10th or
15th should be a hard date though. Not much time to get anything else together after that (at least for me!)
