We are about 30 miles south of Springfield, so we try to fly Allegiant from there if at all possible. Our experiences with them have been great. Tried Airtran out of Branson last year, and BIG mess so never again. We are flying in on Saturday and staying at Downtown Disney to play around and will drive over to the port on Sunday morning. I love AKL; it is our favorite hotel. We stayed there after our last one too and got lucky enough to be picked as family of the day and upgraded to Conceirge. Best surprise ever! I read your post about your friend cancelling on you. Maybe it just changes the kind of trip you will plan, not how much fun it will be! DH is not big on activities, so maybe we could meet up for something if you want to go with someone. Definately the champagne tasting is going to be fun! As many of us as there seem to be, they may want to set up one just for us or better yet, give a DISGroup discount !

Hey we are also staying by Downtown Disney Sat night and hanging out for dinner...Probably Wolf Gang Puck express...Yum.
We are driving Sunday morning and turning our car in. I have DCL transfers for after the cruise too AKV....Less stress...Can not wait!

I have no plans for Nassau day so I will be there for the champagne tasting...DD is planning to visit the Teen spa that day...

so what are the green bracelets?? I would be in on that???

Has had a productive day... got 3 magnets done, did 2 loads of laundry, DROVE for the first time in over a week (was restricted due to the whole hospitalization / post op complication thing), stopped at the market and got myself some sushi for supper AND I called Gift Baskets by Shirley to order a cruise basket for the kids. And most importantly - TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY SINCE I CAME HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL THAT I DIDN'T NEED A NAP!!!!
I know that sounds like a very odd thing to be excited about but after the past 2 weeks it's definitely an indicator of progress!!!

Oh and one more great thing happened today- I got the proofs for Bella's modeling card today! I almost fainted she looks SO good. So hard to believe that it's MY kid on the card!!!!(it was a proud mamma moment)...

I think you're asking about the lime green silicone bracelets that we decided to get so that we could identify each other. A few folks on this board has chipped in to order the bracelets for the entire disboard group. I think we'll be handing them out at the terminal for our disboard members and at the dis meet. So for the bracelets, you don't have to do anything except make sure you're on roll call and check in with one of us.

We also have a "t-shirt logo" that you can use to create shirts to wear on at-sea day.

And we have a template for you to customize with your name to add to your lanyards.

Maybe we should plan a dis meet at downtown Disney. We are planning on eating at WPE too, if the wait isn't too bad. And we will see you on the bus to AKV afterwards.

Whoo-hoo, only 39 more days!! They can't pass quick enough for me, that's for sure. How I would have loved to see that sign this morning!!

Denise, your magnet designs are great--especially the one about the rum!!! That one had me Sounds like maybe DCL may have to hide the champagne! I see we've enticed more folks to join us. Heck, we may take over the whole tasting seminar!!!

As many times as I have been to Disney, I don't know the answer to this question: Are there any stores or gas stations that sell wine that are within walking distance to Downtown Disney? We were hoping to pick up a bottle or 2 to carry on the ship.

I think they sell some at the supermarket in crossroads ( across from the downtown Disney entrance).

We're thinking about having a few things (read: Diet Dr Pepper) just delivered to us at OKW via gardengrocer. Will have to pay the $12 delivery fee, but worth it to me !

The Hess stations across from DTD and by BW have beer and a small wine selection. Your other option is a cab ride.

So I have a question y'all. We had a cutoff date of last Friday for FE signup. But I've had a couple people ask me about joining since. I feel sooooo bad turning people away. I am the type of person who always makes extra to make sure now one is left out. Do you think we should add late joiners to the list with a notation? And if you can, you add them to the list, and if you can't, you can't. Or should we do a hard cutoff?

We were planning on going outlet shopping early afternoon, but would probably be there dinnerish time if anyone wants to try to get together.
