DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

We are thrilled to be going on our second Disney cruise!
We booked this several months ago and posted before the roll call was announced, so I wanted to introduce the family again so we can be added to the roll call.
Yay yay!

Welcome aboard :cool1: I have added you to the roll call.

Just a couple of questions for you all. We have done a 3 night and a 7 night but never a 5 night. I was wondering if you all know if there will be a fromal night or a character breakfast?

This is our first 5 night cruise too, wondering the same thing.

Yes we will probably have 1 formal night and I am sure there will be a Character Breakfast...We had both on our 4 night cruises on the Wonder. I can not wait! It is going too be spectacular! I can not believe we are almost one year out.:cloud9: I am planning too book our room for the night before in a couple weeks. Trying too decide between the Radisson and the Best Western. I love Best Western Cocoa beach because it is right by the cocoa beach pier and is a nice beach, but I love Radisson pool? Both have park and sail packages.

We plan too fly down on Thursday and visit Universal so we can see Harry Potter Island before we sail. Hopefully crowds will have settled down by next year at this time.

We did a 4 night on the Wonder in 2008 & there was no Formal night. There was a Semi-Formal night that some people did dress up more Formal for. There was no Character Breakfast on this cruise either.

The seven night we went on in 2009 had a Semi-Formal night, a Formal night & a Character Breakfast.

I guess we will just have to wait. Maybe we can find out from someone who has taken a 5 night on one of the ships that is already running.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Frances. We live in Texas and I homeschool my children. We love everything Disney and have found out that the people that travel with Disney are the best and the nicest. Can't wait to get to know you guys and meet you next year.

We booked this cruise on our last cruise in November 2009. We are so excited and can't wait for May 2011. Going on this trip will be my DH Jerry, DS Nicholas-13, DD Madeline-10.

How do I add us to the list and what is the list? lol

So you are planning on flying in the morning of the Cruise (May 29, 2011)?

I think I asked before if you were coming down a day early, because I have my countdown set for the 29th and I have 1 more day on my countdown than you do.:goodvibes

"Park & Sail Package" is what some of the hotels in the port area offer. You stay at their hotel the night before the cruise & leave your car in their parking lot while you are on the cruise. They shuttle you over to port & back before & after the cruise. This way you don't have to pay at port to park in the port lot.

Welcome Aboard :cool1: I added you to the roll call..

We have never done a GTY but from what I have read on the boards it looks like they go by 8c, 8b etc.. Someone else might be able to shed better light on this topic.

We are driving down to help with costs next year, and after the cruise we are going to WDW for 4-5 nights, my question: What a good hotel to stay at the night before, do they book fast, how soon should I book, and finally does majority find it safer to leave their vehicles in the hotel lot or at the port?

Many cruisers stay at the Radisson or the Country Inn Suites. People park at the hotels all the time and I have never heard of anyone having problems.
