DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

Hello Everyone!! I just booked this cruise for DH and I!!!

We're from the Philadelphia area. No kids (ok, DH is a kid) ;).

We're very excited about sailing on the Dream! So far, we've been on the Magic once, and have taken a few cruises on the Wonder. At this time, we are getting ready for a 5-night double dip on the Wonder this upcoming May. Can't wait!!

Hi Kim,
We are on this cruise, too! It'll be good to cruise with you and your DH twice!! We don't have long until our May 2010 Double Dip cruise!

Sorry we're no longer joining you on the 5-night May 2010 DD cruise as well. With Kids Sail Free, we were able to save over two thousand by changing our upcoming May 2010 reservation to Spring Break. We leave in just under two months! Plus, my SIL, BIL and nieces will be joining us to take advantage of the Kids Sail Free offer.

This particular 2011 cruise is so appealing as we love Castaway Cay. Plus, we get to experience the newest ship. My oldest two are very excited about the teen area on the Dream!

We were going to wait to book this cruise on-board in March, but there were only two sets of connecting staterooms available at booking and that's a necessity for us for the extra room!!

My family and I will be sailing on this cruise also!!! This will be our 2nd Disney cruise :) Sailing will be me (31), my parents, my sister (30) and her two kids 3 and 5. We are super excited:cool1:

:welcome: When was your first DCL cruise?

Hi KSDisneyDad! I do remember you from the 05/10 Double Dip thread...in fact, if I remember correctly, you started the list of names!! Funny how we all seem to have ended up on this particular cruise as well ;)

We went Aug 22 2009 I believe....We were supposed to on the Double Dip this coming May but finances didn't work out. Oh well.

We returned from our first Disney cruise last week and booked this trip onboard. Kids loved Castaway Cay and the staff experience was great!

Hope to participate in the FE activities. We have 3 kids (3, 5, and 8) currently.

Hi everyone!

KSDisneyDad, I certainly remember you from our May 2010 thread. I'm glad you'll be joining us for the Double Dip Dream Cruise!

Looks like my parents are joining us for this cruise! :cool1::cool1: They are super excited. They just booked yesterday. My mother told me she didn't have alot to choose from-this cruise is booking up fast!
Their names are Patricia & Dennis and they live in Bristol, PA. This will be their 2nd Disney Cruise.

We are going!!! Just booked this morning.

Myself, my wife, and our two boys (they will be 8 and 10 when we sail)

We are driving down from Georgia. We'll stay one night a one of the hotels in Port Canaveral leave our car there. Where is everyone staying? Last cruise when it was my wife and myself (DVC member cruise), we stayed at the Marriott for the night. Previous cruise with the boys, we stayed at the Radisson.

Wow...I can't wait....this will be our 3rd cruise....the last two were in 2006.

Virginia and Shannon, we are neighbors of yours too...Our group is from Lawrenceville, Buford, Auburn and then myself up in commerce. We've added my sister and brother in law so we are now up to 12 for this trip and can't wait.

Wow...we are in Cumming! Looks like there is going to be a big Georgia presence on the ship! We should all have a pre-cruise party here in Georgia in April 2011!

Everyone's a kid at Disney. Where else can you dress like a pirate and other people don't think you're crazy, except your kids. :)

I hope we do an FE too, that added so much to our last cruise! The kids loved it.

:welcome: woo hoo! another ne georgian! we're gonna give the philadelians (is that the right term?) a run!

We love love the double dip. When you leave the first day from CC, and you missed stuff you don't feel so bad because you'll be back in a few days! It was definitely easier to get the kids and myself back on board knowing that. But the second day at CC was totally sad when we left.

We were thinking this weekend that by this time next year, we're gonna start hearing reports of real experiences on the Dream! Can't wait. And we don't know where we're staying at yet. We stayed at the Radisson the last time.

It's Philadelphians and if you are counting all of Georgia (which is a State) then you should be counting all off Pennsyvania (State) not just Philadelphia (City). DH & I are also from Pennsylvania, just a smaller unknown area (sooo small it is known as a Borough, not a city:lmao:).

Sorry :) Actually a bunch of the folks are from North Metro of Atlanta (Georgia). I haven't heard of anyone else from outside elsewhere Georgia. I'd love to though :)

Actually I wanted to ask someone from Pennsylvania if I wanted to go to Hershey Park, which airport is closest? :confused3

Thanks!

We are in for FE also. Just had a grand time with it on the last cruise. We themed our first FE cruise with things from one's state (eg I took sand from the Jersey shore). The second time was just fun stuff. We had election day so everything was red, white and blue!! We also designed tee shirts for the last two cruises, if any one is interested. They were in the $12 to $14 range - just a suggestion.

We also had a meet in our room (22 DISer's came) because everyone wanted to see the 1 BR suite. However, while I was looking at the deck layout, I notice deck 14 has a 'private' lounge. Any one else notice? I am not sure if we could book it for a meet and if there is a cost associated with it. Might be something to look into.

In the mean time I have 2 other WDW visits to plan for!!! I know it's a horrible burden, but I feel I must.:lmao:

Happy Monday.

Hersheypark (love that place!) is super-close to Harrisburg, PA.

I suppose you could also fly into Philly, but you'd have about a 2 hour drive to Hersheypark. I guess it would depend on what kind of airfare you could get. Southwest flies into Philly, and their rates are usually the best. I do not believe SW flies into the Harrisburg airport.

From Philly: 2 hours on a good day.

From Lehigh Valley International Airport: 1.5 hours

From Harrisburg about 30 minutes.

Hope this helps.

Cool! Thanks! I grew up going there (from NYC), but my kids have never been there (living in Atlanta now). So we're looking to go there in June and doing a mid-atlantic / NE tour.

DH and I are joining you for this cruise! :cool1:
DH just booked a few days ago (it was my Christmas present-isn't he a great husband) and we both are very excited! We will ONLY cruise Disney and are currently counting down for the May 2010 Double Dip! We LOVE CC so we choose to do the DD Cruises!

It is just DH (Chris) and me (Jacquelyn). We live about 30 min North of Philadelphia.

We are happy to be booked on this cruise and I hope to get to know some of you before we set sail on the Disney Dream! We are booked into room 7082.:yay::yay::yay:

Hi Jacquelyn
Here's a buccaneer "face" from the past...myself, Mom and son cruised on the Magic's Western itinerary in October'08 with you. I was looking through this cruise meet because my Mom and I are booked on a May'10 cruise and we have been talking about making on OBB for this May 29'11 cruise. Well had to pop in and say :wave2: when I saw your posting. Hope everyone (including Katie) is doing well!

Hi! We are booked for this cruise!! We are Margaret, DW, Garry, DH, Adrienne, DD (21), Mike, DS (13), Matt, DS (11), and Megan, DD (10). We have adjoining rooms 8512 and 8514. We are excited about the double dip at CC. We'd love to be a part of the FE group, but don't have any prior experience - just let us know what we need to do - we're game:)):cool1::thumbsup2
