Well, I thought I would post a bit on the cruise thread. I cannot wait until May gets here! I have already pestered my husband so much about this cruise that now he doesn't want to hear anything about it or even disney right now

Let's see, we applied for our passports last saturday and I know we don't need them, but DH really felt better having them instead of the birth certificates. I have already started buying a few things here and there. This will be our first cruise so I am going a little over the top right now. I bought the over the door hanger that was on clearance at Target and I've already got a few cruise magnets from the thread.

Now I just need to pass the time. I have really started reading the trip reports but that just makes it harder for me to wait.

Luckily I have a couple short WDW trips that will help me through and then DH and I are going with 4 other couples too an All Inclusive resort in Mexico in January...So that will really break up the Winter...:cool1:

I am still trying too decide if we should stay on site at Universal before the cruise. We are visiting Harry Potter Island. I plan too fly down on Thursday morning...You know Southwest will be opening our dates within the next couple months....:yay:

Hopefully DH will stay working most of this Winter.....He was laid off almost 8 months last year... We don't want that again.

I got my trip half paid and plan too have it paid in full by Feb so I can make my Palo reservations. Don't think we will do Remy since it is $75 per person. Plus it is my best friend and not my hubby with me. I think Remy would be more of a romantic experience.

Happy planning all....:cloud9:

Just put this cruise on hold. Looking for a better price, but we will be on the ship regardless. Booked category 5A for our family of four, including two teens dd 17 and ds 13 at that time.

This will be cruise #7 with Disney!

I need some plans like these to make it until May. We do not have any big plans before then, just camping and a weekend in Pigeon Forge in October.

We will not be doing Remy. Since this is our first cruise we really want to eat at the dining rooms this go around. I do want to try Palo though. We will just have to see if we really want to go.

I do hope your DH has plenty of work this winter. We seem okay in our jobs for the time being, but who knows how the future will be.

Welcome to all the newbies. I haven't been on this thread much lately, we are leaving on the 14th of Oct for the 7 day Magic western cruise and I have been spending most of my time on the roll call there.

I plan to update the roll call for this cruise this weekend before it gets out of hand.

We plan on skipping Remy too, the price is a little much if you ask me, but i am sure people will pay it. We are looking forward to the new rotation restaurants. We will do Palo brunch since for us it is a must and worth the little extra cost.

I am glad we have this cruise coming up and trying to plan a little mini vacation in Feb to Tampa. The mini trip will keep my OCD under control :rotfl: while we wait for this cruise.

Looking forward to this group getting bigger. Once we get closer we can start planning some group activities if people are interested.

Have a great week everyone :cool1:

If anyone has any useful tips or information you would like added to the roll call, let me know.

Welcome aboard everyone! :welcome:

We'll be skipping Remy's and Palo's this time also. We just didn't love Palo's (we tried dinner & brunch). On a five night, we didn't want to miss the regular dining (plus we actually missed having the meal with our kids). :confused3

We're also trying to sneak in a trip in Dec to wdw before the cruise. And yes, do the Harry Potter at Universal if you get the chance. If you're a fan of HP, I would totally recommend it. It's not huge, but it's just cool to be in it.

Anyway, I've updated the FE list (found in my siggie). But I'll also post the list I have as of now. Please let me know if you want to join us! The more the merrier. The list is pretty small right now for such a large group! Cmon! Join us!

Not to sound too geeky, but I was so happy to see we are on the same cruise. I loved your TR Eat your salad, and the whole time I was reading it, I just kept thinking I would love to be on a cruise with someone who does a great TR. That way I can always have someone else's perspective and opinion on it. Plus the humor was great!

hilarious! not geeky at all. I love writing TR's, I love writing, which is I guess why I love blogging, too! thanks for reading my tr, stay tunes, it's not over!

I am trying to make a decision about participating in the FE exchange. With this being our first cruise I don't want to get overwhelmed with extra stuff to do and bring. But, on the other hand, I have really enjoyed looking at all the FE threads and think my kids would love it. I am going to think on it a little more and see. My DH is the type who would think this is insane, so that has to factor in too.
