DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

DH and DD are. I just have no choice, but I don't mind. Actually, I am a Next Gen fan. DH can name the orginals after hearing the opeing note of the music for the show. Yup, he's a nerd! No sports in our family, SciFi, Disney, Food Network are the channels we watch!

I watch all of them, Deep Space 9 is my least favorite. I've got tons of books, too. I've got phasers, communicators & pins. All the movies. I'm old enough to remember watching the origional show in high school.

Remember I told you guys my DD Isabella got a modeling contract? We just met with her agent a week ago on Monday. They called today- CHEVROLET wants to meet her for a photo add. We meet with them tomorrow and if they like her it's a 1 day shoot that takes place AFTER vacation!!! If she doesn't get picked I'm totally cool with it but how exciting that she got a call already!!!

That is super exciting ! Congrats!

I want to give a huge shout out to CHUCK and VIRGINIA! You are both Awesome! Thanks for all the countdowns and for keeping the roll call list updated and all the other info. The FE list, wristbands, and all the images!

I am taking my dad for a biopsy in the morning. The doctor is very sure it's cancer so hopefully the results will not come back until we are back. My mom is kinda freaking out and she tends to hear what she thinks she should hear, if that makes sense. Can't wait to see that last friday countdown tomorrow!

Keeping your family in our thoughts as well and hoping the news is positive for your dad.

I had a half day today - had to take my mom to a doctor's appointment this morning. Unfortunately, not only do I have to work a full day tomorrow, I have to come back to work in the evening after everyone's clocked out so I can run payroll for next week. It's going to be a long day! Fortunately, I have a great trip to look forward to to get me through it !

In 15 minutes I will be on vacation. I just have to get through the biopsy tomorrow and then it's a pedicure and early bedtime tomorrow night. We are leaving our house at 3:30 am Saturday and hopefully getting there by 4 pm. Not sure how 12+ hrs in a car with a 4 & 7 yr old will be.

You are not alone, I have to put in a full day tomorrow. Quite a few of us staying on property for at least a few days after--we'll be at BLT.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with all the Star Trek collectibles. I even have a Next Gen uniform (blue, cuz who wants to be a red shirt?!) and 2 Enterprise models that are actually model rockets! I've really got it bad, I'm afraid, my license plate is EN-PRISE. And ditto on Deep Space 9. Even Voyager and Enterprise were better IMHO.

Jolan Tru. I have the Pfaltzgraff (googled the spelling) place setting. Just one. I also have autographed plates & lithographs.

And NO you are not the only one working tomorrow. And you're right, it's not fair. I go in at 9 and work til I am done, which right now is til 2:30 unless someone books later, then I could be there as late as 4:30. I have to get home and get a nap. I am first driver. DH gets home around 6 and we will leave around 8. He will nap while I drive and then we'll switch. We found that about every 2 1/2 - 3 hours works best. Switch before the eyes give out. They recuperate much faster that way.

I just arrived home from the hospital. Stevie has at least one more night there. He refused to eat anything all day. He is lethargic and running a slight fever, the doctors say that is normal with a damaged spleen. We had to evacuate the hospital room three times for code grey tornado warnings today. He really perked up after the third one, seeing all the other kids and some balloons. I ran down to the gift shop and picked him up a balloon and a pack of m&m's and he finally ate his dinner for the candy. The life in his eyes finally showed back up and he was crawling out of bed pushing all the buttons in the room to see what they would do. He is doing much better.

Carol and I want to thank everyone for thier prayers and good thoughts. We really will miss cruising with this great group of people. We will eventually book another cruise for our family. DCL is only refunding the $22.00 for port fees. They will not deal with our travel agent for a rebooking. Thankfully the agent talked me into insurance. The hospital is filling out the forms for us tonight. My next mission is to send just Carol and Stevie to DW later this summer so that he can finally meet Mickey.

Angie, the FE you made for Stevie brought tears to our eyes. Please let me know if we can do anything for any of you.

Bill and Carol--- so good to hear that Stevie is doing better -- he truly is Stephen the Brave, son of some of the Bravest parents in the world. So sorry that you have had to deal with the weather issues in conjunction with the health issues. Please let us know his favorite character -- we all want to make his recovery a little more fun for him - does he like puzzles?

SAW THE DREAM!!!!

Pulled into Canaveral around 2:30 and the red smoke stacks with Mickey Heads were right there! I was driving, so couldn't get a pic. Wanted to go down to the port, but by the time we checked into the hotel, got our stuff in the room, and had a chance to relax, everyone was too hungry and tired after the long drive that we walked to the pizzeria next door and ate! (posting from restaurant)
