DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

Remember I told you guys my DD Isabella got a modeling contract? We just met with her agent a week ago on Monday. They called today- CHEVROLET wants to meet her for a photo add. We meet with them tomorrow and if they like her it's a 1 day shoot that takes place AFTER vacation!!! If she doesn't get picked I'm totally cool with it but how exciting that she got a call already!!!

That's great news, you both must be totally excited.

I just arrived home from the hospital. Stevie has at least one more night there. He refused to eat anything all day. He is lethargic and running a slight fever, the doctors say that is normal with a damaged spleen. We had to evacuate the hospital room three times for code grey tornado warnings today. He really perked up after the third one, seeing all the other kids and some balloons. I ran down to the gift shop and picked him up a balloon and a pack of m&m's and he finally ate his dinner for the candy. The life in his eyes finally showed back up and he was crawling out of bed pushing all the buttons in the room to see what they would do. He is doing much better.

Carol and I want to thank everyone for thier prayers and good thoughts. We really will miss cruising with this great group of people. We will eventually book another cruise for our family. DCL is only refunding the $22.00 for port fees. They will not deal with our travel agent for a rebooking. Thankfully the agent talked me into insurance. The hospital is filling out the forms for us tonight. My next mission is to send just Carol and Stevie to DW later this summer so that he can finally meet Mickey.

Angie, the FE you made for Stevie brought tears to our eyes. Please let me know if we can do anything for any of you.

Happy to hear that Stephen is doing well. Disney was offering the free dining the end of August if that works for you.

We should be there around 7. If all goes well we plan to get to the hotel by 5. I know DH wants to go to Cocoa Beach but we should be at the pool by then.

I am packing some extra tote bags and the one bag has just toiletries and some sandals so I should be able too put some things in there too. i am bringing one bottle of wine in a wine tube so small stuff could fit in that...It will be going home empty..

Most FE stuff is pretty small from my experience on other cruises. We can make it work.

OK, I'm a dork. I just read over my FE, which has some writing on it... I was in such a rush, and Photoshop doesn't have spell correction (which I totally live by, even this forum text box has an underline when it's not spelled correctly), so I have some misspellings in it. I actually sent it out to get printed so I will not be able to fix, plus we leave tomorrow. Anyway, it doesn't really affect the gift, it's just the description. But I apologize in advance.

Ok, so I'm just obsessing and trying to pass time at this point, at work. I cannot get anything done.... So I'll contribute to Angie's top 10.

10. I have all the apps, movies & books I want on my iphone, ipad and kindle
9. We'll make it to a Star Wars weekend next weekend at Hollywood Studios with special passholder stuff.
8. We get to spend 2 days at the most wonderful beach.
7. I saw Chuck's countdown this morning

5. I can wear my crazy hidden mickey clothes and people won't think I'm crazy.
4. I answer the kid's question: "When are we going to Disney?" with a TOMORROW
3. I can't wait to meet our new dis friends

I figured this would be easier than you all having too ship it...I know I can manage and it is for a good cause...I would be devistated if my trip got cancelled at the last minute... This cruise has been booked since Nov of 2009 and everytime I look at the calendar I can not believe it is really here!!!!

DH and DD are. I just have no choice, but I don't mind. Actually, I am a Next Gen fan. DH can name the orginals after hearing the opeing note of the music for the show. Yup, he's a nerd! No sports in our family, SciFi, Disney, Food Network are the channels we watch!

Denise, I can soooooo sympathize, but it's usually the amount of clothes and shoes (which weigh about 10 lbs. each!) HE wants to bring that pushes me over the edge. We got thru it OK this year--still stressful, but we managed.

So we may just have a REAL LIVE celebrity in our group!! Somehow, when I saw that pic you had us voting for, I KNEW that girl was going places! Congrats to all and can't wait to hear about the meeting!!

PTL!!! So glad to hear our Stephen the Brave is doing so much better!! Sorry about the evacuations, but it sounds like they had a plus side in enabling Stevie to see the other kids and the balloons! Glad everyone is safe, that's for sure. SUPER glad to hear plans are in the works for him to meet Mickey, after all. Better late, than never, right?!!

One of the leading men just drop out of the show after the read through. That just put me in a grumpy mood. How can you drop out after the read through?

What a terrific idea! I have to admit, while this is our 6th cruise, this is definitely the MOST fun bunch of folks I've ever met on our meet thread! I can't wait to meet you all in person. Anybody interested in the Magic 5-nite to Canada over Labor Day weekend next year?
