DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

I just arrived home from the hospital. Stevie has at least one more night there. He refused to eat anything all day. He is lethargic and running a slight fever, the doctors say that is normal with a damaged spleen. We had to evacuate the hospital room three times for code grey tornado warnings today. He really perked up after the third one, seeing all the other kids and some balloons. I ran down to the gift shop and picked him up a balloon and a pack of m&m's and he finally ate his dinner for the candy. The life in his eyes finally showed back up and he was crawling out of bed pushing all the buttons in the room to see what they would do. He is doing much better.

Carol and I want to thank everyone for thier prayers and good thoughts. We really will miss cruising with this great group of people. We will eventually book another cruise for our family. DCL is only refunding the $22.00 for port fees. They will not deal with our travel agent for a rebooking. Thankfully the agent talked me into insurance. The hospital is filling out the forms for us tonight. My next mission is to send just Carol and Stevie to DW later this summer so that he can finally meet Mickey.

Angie, the FE you made for Stevie brought tears to our eyes. Please let me know if we can do anything for any of you.

Thanks,

Bill, Carol, and Stevie

Remember I told you guys my DD Isabella got a modeling contract? We just met with her agent a week ago on Monday. They called today- CHEVROLET wants to meet her for a photo add. We meet with them tomorrow and if they like her it's a 1 day shoot that takes place AFTER vacation!!! If she doesn't get picked I'm totally cool with it but how exciting that she got a call already!!!

That's awesome! Hope it goes well.

I know a great travel agent! :thumbsup2:cool1:
I can even do an "Agent takeover" on rebooks you guys do onboard... then we both score!

just saying :dance3:

Sorry, but I have a Travel Agent at AAA who has been taking good care of me for all my cruises so far. I usually book onboard & have them tranfer it right to him. He has gotten me some nice onboard credits & gifts, too. :goodvibes

So thankful he is doing better. How scary that you had to move out 3 times , especially with what just happened in Joplin! Glad nothing came of that. Super-glad you had insurance also.

What characters or movie does he like? We wanted to slip a small something in with the FE since ours is a all-cabin one and didn't have anything specific for him.

I get my cruise insurance through him, too. It costs a little more than DCL insurance, but it has to be paid within few days of booking the cruise and covers pre-existing conditions. If I understand correctly, the DCL insurance doesn't get paid till you pay in full and doesn't cover pre-existing.

Bill and Carol, so happy to hear that Stevie is doing better. Kids seem to bounce back faster than we think and before you know it, he will be back to his ol self again. Sorry we will not meet you on this trip but he'll have the time of his life at WDW this summer!
Take care, hope the weather smartens up too!

Yep it is Angie. My initials are A.B.C.

87, unfortunately, is not when I was born, but instead, when I got married. August 7th. :)

Us too!! May 2, 1987.

One of the leading men just drop out of the show after the read through. That just put me in a grumpy mood. How can you drop out after the read through? :confused3

I just wanted to say goodnight and send good vibes to everyone while they travel.
Angie - sorry you didn't get the cabana - -I considered it but I've spent too much and I spend my time in the water if it's warm enough. I'm going parasailing that day too. I have never been to Alberta - - I lived in Ontario near Toronto and then in Vancouver - I loved it there. Hope we get to meet.

Chuck -- I hope you don't send a countdown on the ship letting us know how many days are left cause I have a feeling it's going to go fast. :lmao:
I'm loving the countdowns this week -- I see it and get excited and then panic cause I'm still not packed. I'm sorting and seeing what will fit. Thanks for the fun each day.

Denise -- that is so cool about your DD. Can't wait to hear what happens. Good luck!!

I imagine us all at this point feeling rushed, tired and yet very excited. I just want to throw in prayers for calm seas and hot sunny days. But it will be a blast either way.

night night

Sandy

Bill & Carol - sorry to hear about Stevie.

Angie - great job on the FE for him. So nice of you to head that up.

I have been soooo busy! Today was last day of school. I have been working a lot (which is good, but why can't things be busy when I'm not trying to get ready for vacation).

We started packing tonight. I bought a dress for our Remy reservation and it needs to be altered a little. I haven't done it yet. I guess I'll be doing some sewing tomorrow.

We are leaving Friday morning, so not sure if I will be back online between now and then.

I want to give a huge shout out to CHUCK and VIRGINIA! You are both Awesome! Thanks for all the countdowns and for keeping the roll call list updated and all the other info. The FE list, wristbands, and all the images!

Can't wait to meet everyone!

Dd3 woke me up and now I can't get back to sleep. Laying here wondering if I should do the pillowcase thing for the girls.... If I do go ahead and do it, do I get fabric markers or sharpies? What do I put it all into? Do I do each pillowcase in a separate bag with it's own markers?

Late breaking decision huh? Lol.... MIL will be real thrilled if I ask her to embroider them too !!!

Glad to hear Stephen is doing better! Thank goodness you got travel insurance. So good to hear he will still see Mickey this year.

We are almost finished packing. I am off tomorrow. I am taking my dad for a biopsy in the morning. The doctor is very sure it's cancer so hopefully the results will not come back until we are back. My mom is kinda freaking out and she tends to hear what she thinks she should hear, if that makes sense. Can't wait to see that last friday countdown tomorrow!

Bill & Carol I am SO glad Steven the Brave is being so Brave and doing MUCH better!!! :littleangel: are looking out for him and your family!!!! I was going to also ask who his favorite characters are (I'm guessing Mickey is one of them!!)

We will certainly miss you on this tripi - as a matter of fact I think we should ALL REBOOK TOGETHER and do this every year or so!!! :lmao: Can you see the look on the Packing Natzi's face now????

I know exactly what you mean. I have become the parent to my mother and also hears what she thinks she should hear as well.

I pray for good news for yor dad.

We are on our way! Planned on getting on the road at 6am for the 7-8 hour trek...and we were pulling out of our driveway at 6:15...can't believe we made it since we had nothing packed as of yesterday! I was running around like a lunatic yesterday trying to get things organized in between doctor and dentist appointments, trips to the store tomget last minute things, etc.

Got our FE gifts all packed but just had a panic moment..asked DW if she remembers what I did with our fish extender..I don't remember packing it...she said I showed it to her and put it in one of bags...well, guess I will have to hope I did!

I was just catching up with the board...

Bill, sorry to hear about Stevie. Our thoughts are with you and your family. I'm sure it won't be long until he's fully recovered and you are planning your rescheduled cruise!

Safe travels to everyone!

We are still alive!!!:thumbsup2 No major damage!!:goodvibes It was really scary and I ended up running into Schnucks cause I did not want too be in the car so they run us all into the coolers at the back of the store. Crazy!!!

Angie,
I will see you on Sunday!! Ready for Palo...have a safe trip....

Bill (Stevie Dad) PM'd me and said if I do bring the FE gifts home he can stop by and pick them up from me since he drives by the hospital I work at 5 days a week...So we can try and make this work..:goodvibes

Storms are done, but now it is drizzly and cold!!!! I want too head too Florida now!

just popping in to say Good Morning to all.... Safe trips to all who are heading down now...we leave on Sunday.

Denise- excellent news about DD!! Yeah!

Well, off to work for now, still trying to pack and the time is flying at home and dragging at work! ugh!!! I can't wait to go and get some R&R w/my new friends!
