Disney Dream 4-Night Double Dip Cruise Oct 23rd 2014

Anyone still wanting to talk here? I don't connect Dis and FB, because I don't want my friends to know the extent of my Disney plans, so I'm not going to go to the FB page. (the way they change their security stuff, I could set it all up to be super-private today, to have it all change tomorrow)


We're staying concierge level so I gave them my money ridiculously early and did my checkin stuff. Going to try out Palo for dinner. How I wish Nassau were At Sea so they had a brunch!

I read here and get email notifications. Of course you know the group is private. You would think that with everyone's names and pictures, FB is a greater way to meet everyone. We did this for our last cruise and now again and I am not so sure I can keep up with everyone or my memory is really bad

So, FYI, I was logged in to FB, clicked on the FB link, and saw 23 FB members' names and pictures, plus the two admins. The link to Join was still there, so I hadn't joined. Might not be as private as you think? You might want to make it a "secret" group, as I did for a friend and I to talk about an upcoming run we're doing, rather than the "closed" group you have.

I honestly don't know about all the privacy issues/private groups, etc. I am part of a few private groups. Before I joined the first one last year for that cruise, I did ask if anyone of my friends/family could see our posts and they said no. I was fine with that. How private it is - no clue. I am sure there is some general info. on there for anyone looking to join but someone has to invite someone to join I believe........

We are booked for the Dream on Oct 23rd! Family of 4 from Madison MS DS (9) & DS (12). We are all first time Disney cruisers. I requested to join the Facebook group.

My wife and I just booked this cruise to celebrate out 10th wedding anniversary it might feel a little odd being on dcl without our daughter, but well get over that quickly. Cya all on board!

We are also on the double-dip for October 23rd! Our second cruise with DCL, but first time on the Dream.

Crew includes: Jennifer, Stephen and twins Caitlyn and Hailey. We look forward to seeing everyone. We've signed up for FE for the first time, so that should be exciting.

I didn't want to join FB at first for the same reason.
However, there was no activities here at all. So I ended up join the FB group.
Don't want to miss out the fun!

By the way, one of our fellow cruisers who is travelling in concierge has been told that there will be a Remy brunch on one of the CC days, the second one I think
Sadly no Palo brunch but we tried the Remy Brunch on the Fantasy a couple of weeks ago and it was wonderful

I can't seem to get excited over it or think about it until after my son's September wedding. Will really need it by then. Just want to book Palo and don't plan on anything else except relaxing. Will play it by ear. Same for WDW before our cruise. Might just make one ADR and catch a concert or two!!

I booked this cruise when I was on my Alaskan -- though due to recent job prospects I have have to change this date. I'm really hoping not too cause I've always wanted to do a castaway double dip .
My PIF isn't until mid-august and this this my first time as GTY (so a little confused with that part) && this will be my first gold cruise!! (I will also be sailing with my friend who is still silver--would he be allowed to come to the reception with me since the ressie is in my name??)
Not planning on doing the FE...and I don't have FB, but I'm on here daily so whoo! Can't wait

Hope you don't have to change your date and can still join us
If you are both in the same stateroom then it shouldn't be a problem for you both to attend the reception
I'm sure others on here will be better placed to advise as it's our first cruise as Gold CC members as well
