Can't believe how quickly it is coming up! My soon to be 15 year old is nervous she will not meet anyone in her age group..lol. I am hoping this mild winter continues here in the Chicago area so we aren't snowed in!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to say that it has been so CRAZY that I haven't been able to stop by and post. We leave on Thursday for WDW!! then off to the cruise.

We surprised the kids today. We went to DLR and filmed them in front of the castle today reading a book that ended with "We're going to Walt Disney World...and we're leaving on Thursday!" They were so excited! They still don't know about the cruise. We're keeping that a secret until we arrive at Cape Canaveral. They will probably think we are headed to the airport and home, but then we board the ship. I can't wait!! Have a great cruise, everyone!!

Add me to the weather watchers. I'm a bit nervous already because as of right now, thunder storms are predicted on our Nassau day. That's not a big deal to me as I am not planning on leaving the ship at all that day. It does concern me that the weather will cancel our Castaway Cay day as well. I know there's nothing I can do about it, but I will be so sad if that happens.

I'm getting nervous now too! I see the storms that are predicted but also rain on our Castaway Cay day. That will be sad if it rains the entire three days of the cruise. But I guess we can't control the weather and we'll make the best of it. But I'll be very bummed.

Its still over a week away folks. The weather forecasters here can't even get the weather correct for the next two days. No reason to think they've figured out the weather in the Bahama's any better.

I didn't think that Castaway Cay would even be an option for weather.com!! Thanks for the tip because now I'll add that as well! I am a little nervous now because we leave on Tuesday and I now see some snow in the forecast for Wednesday in Minneapolis. Uh oh, I hope it doesn't shift at all to the day before. Are you getting crazy non-winter weather in Chicago too? It's crazy that we have no snow at this time of the year!

My DD12 and I are going and we have our own room and then a friend of mine and her DD12 also booked shortly after we did. The girls aren't the best of friends but I think they'll be ok for three days! Even if they don't hang out together, my DD is pretty social and will have no problem meeting new people.

Weather has been very mild in Chicago especially today...high 50's. Also, I have twin 12 year old guys...one who is very social. Makes friends wherever he goes.

O cool.. We actually live less than 45 minutes from Chicago just over the border in Schererville, Indiana. DH and I both grew up in Lansing, Illinois... My dd is shy so I am hoping she ventures out to the Vibe. Hope this calm weather out this way lasts a few days more!!

I know....I'm a little late in responding....I don't know what my problem is, I haven't been on the DIS very much lately. Anyway, I vote for JUSTIN CREDIBLE FAMILY! Because, you know, we are all JUST INCREDIBLE!!!

Any teens gonna be on this cruise???

No teens in our family....but I see you're from NW Indiana...we live in Hobart, where at in NW Indiana are you?

I see we have some fellow hoosiers going (we live in Schererville)! I am now trying to get as much info as possible and am glad I found you all!

Are you flying to Orlando? We are flying Southwest out of Midway on Wednesday at 1:00-ish (DH booked the flight...I'm just going along for the ride HAHA!)

And if you still have any questions...ask away....this will be our TENTH cruise!

I can't believe our cruise is in less than a week!!! I have a friend that is on the ship right now...I'm hoping to catch up with her on Monday or Tuesday to hear about her cruise. If not, I'll have to wait until *I* get back from ours! This was her first cruise and I can't wait to hear all about it!!!!

I am guessing that at least one if not both of my guys will be at least partially in the kid's club. We are leaving after my daughter's last high school final and staying on Wed. night at the airport. I got us the 11 am boarding so hopefully they can zoom onto the aquaduck on Thursday. We'll be the family wearing red. I am making my kids at least wear a red shirt and I told my mom the same thing. At least then I can hopefully get one decent family picture!

She's an only child-so I just can't help it! I'm trying to "let her go a little bit" on this cruise-not stand there taking pictures of every single thing she does! She will be fine-I'm the one with the problem!

Flying in from Atlanta on Wednesday-staying that night at Port Canaveral. Anyone else?

Hi everyone!!

I don't know if one is already organized so I will ask. Would anyone like to do a meet on the ship? Usually we do this around 3 in the back section, by the bars, on sail-away day. Any takers? By the way, I'm Luckymomoftwo's husband. There are 6 of us cruising together Thursday and we are all experienced Disney cruisers with 19 cruises between us!!. Showing up would be a great time to pick each others brains for info and to get to know one another!

So I say let's meet at District Lounge or 687 @ 3:00 on Thursday unless there is something else planned or you guys would rather not.

Look forward to meeting everyone! These are great places to meet people that may turn into life long friendships!

Our son was 11 last September on the cruise, he had a blast!!! One night he didn't come "Home" until 4:30 in the morning!! He met a friend from Australia who wasn't used to the time yet. Seriously, the kids have a blast!! At 2 in the morning they are still out having a good time. Don't worry too much about it. There are cast members everywhere even over night. That's just my two cents.

We are staying at Beach Club Villas. We have ressies for Yachtsman at 8:35, meeting some friends from NYC then going to Jellyrolls!!

Two more days of working both jobs then a 4 hour flight from Chicago Midway to Orlando with a 35 min layover in Raleigh NC on Wednesday and then it's party time in Mouseville!!!

I can taste the Konk Koolers now!

Actually I can't wait to eat at Remy, I always wanted Wagyu Beef.

I see there is one vote for District Lounge for the Dismeet. So with 1 vote, District Lounge is in the lead!!

Hopefully you guys get a little more chatty before we leave so everyone shows up for the meet!

A meet sounds fun..though I am not sure we won't be "lost" for awhile as this is our first cruise (well dh and I went on "Big Red Boat" for a Disney cruise many many years ago). We leave from Midway wed evening and will stay at OKW that night. Look forward to all the fun the Dream holds and hopefully meeting some of you fellow disers!
