Disney dream - 01-30-11

I have a friend that just not get it. We were talking about my upcoming cruise and I told her that I would not be getting off the ship in Nassau but will use that time to really explore the ship, get to know the great Disboard members that are also staying on and get some knitting done. She could not understand why I would take a cruise and stay on the ship. I tried to explain but finally gave up.
To her, a ship is only to get you from one place to the next.

I am with you! Last year we did our first 3 day and we only spent two hours in Nassau. I got some yummy Starbucks and we went back to the ship. It made the 3 day seem longer. The ship had a lot to offer, and I know the Dream has even more.

I can't believe we will be heading to the ship in two weeks...

So much to do, so little time!

thrilled to know that there are only two weeks remaining until I leave for our cruise.

AEPers: The night before with TAs at All Star Music. Much more excited about eating at Epcot and the dessert reception. ALSO really excited about the ship tour. What an amazing opportunity.

Have you gotten your ressie number yet poohfriend? They said in the confirmation letter we would have to make our own ME arrangements, and it doesn't look as if the tags will make it here in time.

I am meeting a couple of other agents at Singing Spirits at the Calypso pool at 4 if anybody else wants to come by. I will wear a lime green shirt...so it won't be too difficult to find me, head shaved, bushy mustache. :)

ME documents can make it in a few days, so I'm not concerned yet. They can UPS them to us if needed. I've also traveled without them. (You still make the reservation, but no documents. At ME check-in you give them your airline baggage claim tickets. Your luggage still magically appears in your room later.)

I would encourage you to consider grabbing the bags if you won't already have on what you'd like to wear to Epcot that evening. ON my last AEP there were agents who did not get luggage before the 1st evening event. I'm actually considering a town car ... the agent I'm traveling with is new and I'd like for her to see how nice the town car service can be for a client.

I figure with the Earmarked conference, several special sailings, and the other AEPs that inside sales has too much going on. Maybe we'll hear something by mid-week. I'm actually more concerned with not knowing what stateroom we have until we get there! I'm beating a path to the PALO desk as soon as they release me from the ship tour (Sounds like REMY is already full.) My trip wouldn't be complete without soufle! Hoping for Brunch!

Any other Travel Agents wondering if we'll get Castaway Club gifts on this cruise? I'm doubting it...but am thinking they might have a new CC gift with the new ship?

My travel partner and I haven't decided if we'll try to fit in an activity before our group meeting time. If we do not do anything, I'll make an effort to meet you near the pool. Meeting fellow DISers is so much fun! We'll put a plan together and i'll let you know before the 29th.

jealous that you're on the bb sailings. On our New Year's eve cruise, we received a special lithograph on the last night. I'm thinking there will be LOts of little extras for you on the trip. As you've taken many Disney sailing already, I know you'll enjoy the finishing touches to a delightful event. I hope you'll tell us all about it.

Enjoy and we'll see you on your second cruise!

I was wondering the same thing also, but I am guessing we won't.

Hehehe.....actually it will be our third cruise on the Dream. We were able to get on the Boys and Girls Charity Preview Cruise on the 21st....we are heading down to Florida from NY on the 20th, boarding the Dream on the 21-23rd then heading to Delray Beach and then to WDW on the 24-25th and then heading to the port the morning of the 26th and back onboard for the Jan 30th cruise (hubby birthday).

Don't know what to pack....for cool weather, for warm weather....I am actually just about to start packing as the rest of the week is booked with work and stuff!!! The new few hours are my only time to pack!!

Can't wait to meet everyone onboard.

Welcome! I also have no idea who I will be rooming with, but that is part of the excitement of the trip. I am curious what type of cabin they will be assigning us.

Inside with the new virtual portholes? Oceanview? Verandah?

Oh, the possibilities! Only two weeks until we find out!

Welcome aboard! We have a nice little group here, many of whom are AEP folks as well.
Two weeks until party time! :dance3:

Thanks for the door info!

On how many of agents will be onboard, I think it will be alot more than 150!
On the CC member gift, I doubt it since its one per cabin.
If we do happen to get it and its the same red bag then my roomie can have it.
If its something new, we are going to have to flip a quarter for it or something...LOL

On the cabin type, I would hope they are upgrading the regular passengers that are booked in an inside and giving us the IN cabins. Seems like that would only be fair. :thumbsup2
Then again, there are alot of people who might be disappointed that they didnt get the virtual porthole.

Well my last cruise on the Wonder was in a Cat 3 1 br, so anything else except a cat 2 or 1 will be downhill...but for what it's costing, you won't catch me complaining!:thumbsup2

I totally agree and I am so excited for those exact same things!!!! I was thinking since they were bussing us from the resort, that we would get there way late like 2 or so. I am very happy that we will be able to get there earlier.

I agree, that is a tricky one. I am expecting and actually hoping for an inside virtual porthole cabin! :)
I would think it would count towards the Castaway levels, but it will be interesting to see about the CC gift.

Wow, mostly easterners! Am I the lone Pacific NW?
OK, what does AEP stand for?

Happy Friday everyone! We leave just 2 weeks from tomorrow and I'm just obsessed with the boards and looking at all the pictures. So to keep my mind occupied I made a list of everyone who has chimed in on these boards with their DIS name, real name (if given) and home location (if given). Just thought it would be interesting to look at (and might help me remember names)
I can't get it to format with spaces in this post so if anyone would like the file just PM me.

Here's what I have so far (forgive the formatting, very difficult in this editor):
