Anakin had an appointment at 6:30 this morning for some testing, we were out of there by 7 and dh got the idea that we should head to WDW for breakfast. Who am I to refuse?!
We had THE BEST customer service experiences at the TTC!!! The parking attendant was amazingly friendly and vigilent!!
When we entered past the ticket booth area, a cm greeted us and informed us that both the ferry and the monorail were open. He suggested the ferry since it is level for pushing the wheel chair, he said the monorail has a fairly steep ramp that would make pushing a little harder. That was so sweet of him. And if this had been our first trip, that information would have been extremely helpful!! I really do struggle getting Anakin up that ramp.
They had 3 ferries running this morning. We walked right up on the ferry with no wait. We were greeted with smiles and great attitudes by EVERY CM we encountered on the ferry!!
We walked right up to security bag check with only a couple people in front of us. Every table was staffed with security and it was streamlined perfectly! The cm who checked my bag was very thorough and friendly. He gave everyone the tip that the turnstiles to the left had smaller lines.
We headed left as he suggested and there was no wait at all!! In fact, the cm's were outside in front of the turnstiles motioning for guests to come to them. They were all smiling and very friendly!!
Our first stop was the Firehouse to get more Sorcerer's cards. On the way there, dh said this is too good to be true. He said someone's going to be grumpy in there. Nope. He was WRONG!!! The cm's were wonderful in there!! The cm who took care of us did something that NO OTHER cm has done there before for us. As we gave her our key cards, she gave us a pack of cards AND told us which portal each key card had as their first stop! That saved us having to go to the training portal and scanning our key card to find out!!
Dumbo was our next stop. While we have visited the storybook area, we have only gone on the Barnstormer and not Dumbo. I showed Anakin's GAC and was told that there was only 1 queue available at that time. They said just take the wheel chair with you and you'll be instructed what to do.
They weren't joking. As soon as we got into the holding area for Dumbo, a cm came up to us and told us that they could get a special car for him. We opted for a regular Dumbo instead. Dh asked where to park the wheelchair and we were told anywhere the walkway isn't narrow. We noticed each time the ride ends the cars stop at the same place. So I just parked it right by his Dumbo near at the fence. By the time I parked it, I had to walk around the attraction to find an empty Dumbo. I could see Anakin looking frantically for me. I waved like a madman until he found me. He wanted to ride with his Daddy.
Daddy did double time and took pics for me with his phone. I forgot my phone at home. My phone takes much better pics than his. But his phone gets much better reception than mine. So I guess it's an even trade?
Here are some of the pics he took from the queue and the ride:
