Love it!!! But I must know the third gift, it doesn't matter how random it is!!! Let us guess WHY it is special!!! The trip itself is gift enough! It got me to thinking of some of the crazy/fun/silly gifts I have given DH over the past twenty plus years...

Love your top ten list, I MUST tr a Dole Whip sometime, I have never had one...sad, isn't it????

Oh Dole Whip is a must have. Recently, at this gelato place in our town (gelato is italian ice cream), the lady saw my tinkerbell CC when I checked out and told me, "that place near the tiki room in Disneyland..." and I was like, "do you mean, dole whip?" and she said, "Yes, that pineapple stuff...our pineapple gelato tastes just like it." And then she gave me a sample, and yes, it tasted almost the same. Then DH had a sample and then we both wanted a dole whip!

I think Dole whip is more airy and light than people think. And it's definitley more dairy-like than a sorbet. The pineapple flavor isn't overwhelmingly sweet, so don't be put off if pineapple isn't your thing. Personally, I would try the original first, before the other flavors! Delicious and super refreshing - the best way to cool down on a hot day. Perfect to share! (If anyone reading this didn't want one before, you'll want one now!)

Thanks so much for your compliments. I'm glad I appear organized...as I'm feeling so disorganized lately! I'm so happy for my camera too...now I just wish FedEx would hurry up and get here today!!

I agree on splitting one first. DH loves pineapple like most kids like strawberry or grape. He would rather have pineapple popsicle or lemonade (yes, they do make that...its gross!) over any other flavor. I like pineapple, but it gets to be too much sometimes. I think they might have an orange one this trip - since I loved creamsicle type deserts as a kid! But they also have vanilla as well. So that might be the safest option. Either way...delicious. And deceivingly quite large!

I can't believe its so close. I still have to go to work six more times so that is raining on my parade right now (I usually work part time, but recently am working more like full time hours - not complaining, just not used to it!). So then I think, HEY, I get to go to WDW! And then I feel much better!

As sooon as my camera gets here...I can't wait ...I will post pictures. Probably later tonight after dinner, gym, all that fun stuff. It still needs some finishing touches.

We're usually not the type of people who just get snacks all the time, so anything is a special treat for us!

My DD loves pineapple flavored stuff, and DS does too if he doesn't know its pineapple. DH will love it, I'm certain of that.

But I do want to try one. I forgot about it last trip, so hoping to remember it this time and at least try it so I can say I tried it. See what the hype is about.

And if they have orange, then I'll let DH have the pineapple and will sample it, and take the orange for myself and not share.

You girls are making me soo jealous. At least mine is out of the "month" zone and into weeks!!

I'm not sure if I'll like it either, but can't wait to try it! If I don't like them, we can be "wrong" together.

Eight Moments I can't wait for:

1. Leaving work next Thursday, I'll probably "dance" in my car on my drive home
2. Arriving in the Orlando Airport - I get really emotional at this point
3. Walking down main street for rope drop and seeing the castle for the first time
4. That moment after your first day on vacation when you smile and realize how many days of fun you have ahead
5. Walking onto rides by using TGM tips/touringplans.com and knowing all my planning work was worth it
6. Giving DH his "journal"
7. Checking into the Boardwalk
8. Seeing my friend from Nashville for Dinner at Beaches and Cream!

Ok, I have to explain that last one. My dear friend and one of my roommates from college moved to Nashville in October of 2009. I've seen her a few times since then. Last time was last summer. Well anyway, one day her facebook said that she was counting down the days til she went to the wizarding world of harry potter. I immediately sent her a message demanding her dates ASAP since we would be in DISNEY in a few weeks too!. After lots of "AHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and "YAAAAAAAAAAY!" we learned that we'd be able to meet up for dinner on the 14th - our free day, really, as we're moving hotels and I promised DH he could have a day to drive around Orlando and what not (he loves to "explore" since he almost went to college out there back in 2003 before we met.)

Anyway, it'll be like an 8:00pm or later dinner. So I don't know how its going to work out. But the fact that the day she could meet us lined up with a day that we didn't have an actual ADR and were also eating outside the park just made it that much better! She is also really good friends with my DH since we all went to college together and worked for the Brewers together too.

My list keeps expanding...again and again and again!

8 Days Away!

- Design and print planning binder (ink is here...now I just need patience to sit and wait)

- Track daily show entertainment times, for shows like American Idol and Lights motor action (doing this Sunday!)

- Purchase/refill travel toiletries as needed

- Get giant suitcases from parents (have to wait until they go and come back on a mini-vacation next week...won't get them til the night before!)

- Make clothing packing list (I have one of those "ultimate guides" but I need to be more specific than "10 shirts")

- Learn to use NEW CAMERA! (I'm pretty sure I'll do this one tonight. FedEx delivered the camera last night at 8:00pm when we were on the way to the gym! And get this...yes, I already dropped it . Well, kinda on purpose to test its durability. Its insane how well this refurbished camera works!)

We took my parents out to dinner for their 26th anniversary tonight. I announced it when the woman was describing the desserts, and we turned them down (like usual, we aren't the ordering dessert type). Well then a few minutes later our awesome waitress (best service in about...forever) brought out this wonderful dessert. It was waffle like shortbread with amaretto cream cheese filling and vanilla ice cream with pecans and strawberries. So I took the opportunity to take a picture with my camera to test my food pics.

2, 3 & 4 of your eight moments are 3 of my favorite moments too! I always get emotional when we get to Orlando airport, but part of that might be just relief that we made it coupled with slight exhaustion of traveling with 2 kids But still, just thinking about that feeling makes me smile.

I love the journal you made for your dh. Will he use it? I doubt mine would, even though I would love to make him one.

Will he use it? Well...he'll use the coupons in the back for sure. As for how much he'll write, I'm betting not much. If he does, he'll be doing it for me because he knows I love his input. I'm not expecting "We had dinner at The Wave tonight. Arrived at 7:15 and were seated in 10 minutes. Our table was located..."

I'm expecting, "yum" or maybe even "good steak" or on a really good day he'll maybe be specific enough to add "slow service" DH is a man's man. Not a memory seeking, journal/travel writing, keepsake kinda guy. So this really should be more of a funny, "Look, I made you this. *pause and wait for reaction* [really fast] and I spend so much time making it and I really hope you like it and if you don't want to use it thats okay because I just wanted to make you something and and and..."

And yes, the arrival is like the most amazing part of your trip. At that point (besides checking into the hotel and getting our rental car) is when I'm finally "on" vacation. Up until that point I'm double, make that triple, checking everything I have, need to do, did, might want to do, could do if plan A doesn't work, creating plan C for day 4... - well you get the picture! And then I get off the plane and its like, "Ohhhhh...this is why all that was worth it. This is why I worked so hard. This is going to be awesome! " (And yes, I probably do dance a little. DH gives me a weird look and pretends like he's not with me at this point.)

Glad I pass the camera test!
