Disney Doing Survey on Dining Plan Changes

I would pay the higher price for 2 TS meals per day.

My kids are now almost adults..
We have been to the parks many many times

I would love a great sit down breakfast then a late dinner.

but my situation is different. I now have the time. I no longer have strollers, diapers, or tired children.

So maybe Disney should make 2 plans.

One for parents with younger kids
and another for couples, singles or parents with older kids

might be a wise thing to do

We will arrive at WDW Saturday and will be on the DDP for the first time. I expect that we will have lots of food to go around. During our past trips, DD and I usually purchased one CS meal and split it most of the time because there is so much food. I expect we will do the same this time. We will use the extra CS meals for breakfast. There is no way that I would want to TS meals in one day for every day of the trip. I have a couple days scheduled with TS breakfast and then TS dinner for our up coming trip, but we would not want to do that every day.

I woud not either with the kids....BUT I would consider it for our adults only anniversary trip. We love eating breakfast out. Then we with nothing is two credit rule....that would make it worth it for us.

We got the survey too. I really like the idea of an additional plan that includes 3 meals a day without the recreation aspect of the current Premium package. For shorter trips (like our March one) where we just don't have the time for recreation I can't bring myself to pay Premium prices just for the meals. We did book DDP even though we know we'll be paying for plenty OOP since we prefer 3 meals a day. That intermediate step would be wonderful. I just hope they don't completely do away with the current Premium package since Platinum is just too many extras for most of our longer trips - unless of course they lower the price a bit.

When my wife and I went to WDW in September, we were on the Platinum Plan which of course came with it's own meal plan where one really didn't have to pre-plan an efficient use of tickets because we could eat 3 table-service meals a day if we wanted to.

We ended up eating room service for breakfast every morning and table-service for lunch and dinner.

We ended up buying into the DVC on that trip. So now we will have to purchase the standard Meal Plan if we want to use a meal plan. I would gladly pay a premium for th eoption to eat at any style of restaurant I want to. Heck, I'd pay a premium for the ability to get the Platinum meal plan. It included restaurants that aren't on any of the other plans (Victoria & Alberts, Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom, and Fulton's Crab House)

My wife and I easily averaged a daily meal spend of somewhere between $150-175 per person per day

I posted my feelings and a link to the 2007 premium DDP in the thread you get to using this link. I like the idea of al all inclusive package. I'm not sure about getting it with my youngin's, they eat like adults but when we priced a future trip the cost went up about $3000 for 5 people for 6 days. (That's $100pp/day ouch) It may be worth it with the extras in the package.

Link for 2007 prem DDP if you don't want to go into the other thread: http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...gespecific/eng/nontheme/tickets/07Premium.pdf
