Disney Divas Getaway!!

:cool2:
Were you in England 9/13 for the British Invasion?

Why yes, I was ... I was supposed to be headed out the International Gateway but the music drew me in. I'm a huge Beatles fan :)

cymbaldiva, you were closer to my room than the other Divas. I was the can of corn lady with the Goofy stuff. :dance3:

I have to trim bushes and pull weeds again this weekend. Does not seem fair as I had them all done up before I left.

I remember your door too - right next or 2 down, I think :)

I feel your pain about the chores - not one single thing got done at my house while I was gone ... my fiance and our dog holed up at his mother's for the duration... grrr.

I thought so...your avatar must have given it away...
if you read my trip report you'll see that I watched The British Invasion's 6pm, 7pm & 8pm shows on the 13th! The Divas had our tie dye shirts on that day...an older woman pulled me out to dance with her to When I'm 64 during the 7pm show!
:dance3:

I have to ask if you are up for adoption. :rotfl:
I think this is the second time you've asked me this question...:cutie:
Brookhaven Gardens near Myrtle Beach is a must see. Gardens, sculptures as well as a delightful tea house with homemade goodies. Lots of seafood in the nearby town as well.
My DB & DSIL have only been there since @May-June...I am anxious to go visit them there! :thumbsup2
My own children have never been interested in anything I am. They think I am plumb stupid as a matter of fact. Odd since when they get in trouble I am the one who gets them out. I was telling my daughter that she might want to consider a few steps for the coming financial crisis but she told me that it is against God to plan. Heck, I thought that is why He gave us brains and He might expect us to use them too! :scared1: Now I have to do more things to cover their posteriors when Armageddon comes. :rotfl:
Yes, my boy has mono. His mom is telling him that he has to take it easy and cannot work the upcoming town celebration (he and his friends are on trash detail and ride around on golf carts and stay awake all weekend). His dad thinks otherwise. I could make a pretty buck off betting which will win out IF I could find anyone willing to bet against my sil. :confused3 The best I can do is leave the back door unlocked and hope that he falls in and takes a nap occasionally.
I am sure grandma will work her magic and he'll soon be as good as new :wizard:

I'm such a retard - I didn't even think about my avatar! :lmao:

I'm jealous though...I would have loved to sit and watch all night :lovestruc
As it was we had an ADR for later (hate ADRs!) so I just got to pause for a moment. Sounds like you had lots of fun though!

I know what you mean...but this was our bonus day (thanks Ike!) so we didn't have any ADRs...just had to be in Italy by 8:30pm for Illuminations! Already told my DH & DS that next October we are going to get some fish & chips (a pint for my DH and an English Rose for me!) find a bench and settle in for the evening! :cloud9:

BTW who are the three blonds???

Hey Kristin,
Just realized your thread was under your name on the Pop Tarts. Wow you guys really did have a great time. It's nice ot see that lots of magic happened where you were. I will have to go back and read some more of the thread.

:thanks:
I've got to make all that magic last for...what do our tickers say...1 year, 1 week and 3 days...sigh :sad2:

Funny, now that you said that our tickers say the same thing and we both picked ghost mickey. lol Not to worry we can make the magic last till next year together. It starts getting really bad for me waiting when I get the Disney Calender 6 months ahead and make all my ADR's and then I realize all there is left to do is wait.

Diva K, I have learned to keep on asking until it wears folks down and they say 'yes'. My husband asked me to marry him nearly every day for three years until I said 'yes'. :lmao: I only did that thinking he would leave me alone. He did not. I do not care for the British Invasion, might be because they seem to play the unfamiliar songs when I am there. Pooch and I watched them in 2007. I love the song "64". Wish you had video of your dancing. :)

Ang, great visit yesterday. I will have to work harder today but well worth it.

cymbaldiva,I was having a hard time getting around so I did not venture up your way much. Mom2Evie was next door to you I think. Maybe we all need to have our screen names on our doors next trip?

I am headed over to read to three year olds today. I have my Slightly Goofy shirt on. I think it only fair to let them know I am silly. They seem to like it and so do I. I have new books. I always buy some new books. It is hard to pick just a few though.

Ahh, we have found a difference...knew you were too good to be true! Alas my own Mama doesn't care for the Beatles either :sad2:
No video but believe there are some Diva taken pictures floating around somewhere although I haven't seem them yet! popcorn::

Don't think anyone had a problem figuring out who was in our rooms! :lmao:

Diva K, I do love the Beatles, just not British Invasion so much. Not lately at any rate as they seem to sing the off beat songs I do not remember or love. Sounds like you were there on a good day though. What is your take on Off Kilter? I love them. Grab some fish and chips and a cold one and settle down for a rollicking good time!!

SG

You can Youtube nearly every attraction, parade etc. at DW. I do Off Kilter from time to time.

Yep, you gotta love a man who wears a skirt, unless it has ruffles maybe. BTW, did you know they wear black bike shorts under there? Please do not ask me how I know, I just do. :upsidedow

Too funny - The 3 blondes are myself, my bff from college Mom2Evie (I refuse to say how long that's been!) and of course her precious DD Evie :goodvibes

Mom2Evie is the planner/trip coordinator and I'm a pretty good follower. Fortunately she loves Disney (and planning!) or else I wouldn't be able to go - despite my pleas my DBF refuses to consider a trip of our own :sad2:

OMG - you're kidding!!! I live in Canyon Lake...but I guess you knew that - How cool is this?!? :cool1: :cheer2: :cool1:

She said that someone on the board lived somewhere near SA, she didn't say where...'course you pretty much need to live around here to keep all the names straight.

I'm can't believe we didn't get to meet while we were there - go figure :headache:
