Disney Divas Getaway!!

True that! Nice to know I'm not alone in the world - DBF had me almost convinced that I am a freak!

If you ever need a Disney fix we can get together for lunch (have you ever been to The River House Tea Room in Gruene? I can bring a couple of the other Divas with me!) and swap stories!

No I've never been there - been to the Gristmill (which reminds me I misplaced a coupon so now I'm annoyed...DBF won't go unless it's cheap <grr>) and Gruene Hall - I'd absolutely love to!

Are all of the Divas from around here?

We're all originally from different parts of the country (PA, LA, TN..) but it took us all moving to Texas to meet! We all lived in Schertz until Diva Becky's husband moved her to Katy (outside Houston, @2 hours away ) for work.
The Tea Room is excellent quiche, soup, tea, dessert!
Its definitely a place for ladies to go for lunch (very feminine decor ) but my DH loves it too! http://www.riverhousetearoom.net/

You are so fortunate to have found friends so close ... pixie dust was really sprinkled upon you all Katy's not that far in the scheme of things(and they have a Rainforest Cafe too! ) - hopefully you all still get to see each other alot.

Yeah, yeah, I get excited about the silly things - DBF took me to the RC in Katy because I got so excited ("Look honey - just like Downtown Disney ...please???" ) and there's an Earl of Sandwich somewhere in SA - I've never even been to the one at Disney and I still got excited when I saw the sign

I can't wait to hear all of the Diva tales and the location sounds definately princess worthy - we'll have a blast!

Earl of Sandwich is yummy! I love The All American (turkey, cranberry...) but the SA location definately does not have the same Disney magic as the one in DTD

I can't wait to hear all of the Diva tales and the location sounds definately princess worthy - we'll have a blast!

The MNSSHP dates and tickets come out the first week or so of May. You can always look at what nights of the week they have the party this year and it is a pretty good bet it will be the same nights next year. I beleive Tuesday is a consistant night for it during October and pretty low crowds too.

San Antonio just beat out Indianapolis for top places to live for cheap. I love Riverwalk and even though Indpls has attempted to replicate the same it is not quite the same. You also have the Alamo, which I was not allowed to see as my bil did not deem it worthy. The drive through zoo and the beer factory were though. Bil was perplexed because I was far more interested in the books and things in the front case at the Brewery than the beer. I wanna go to the tea party too! Pictures please for those of us who are stuck at home??

As far as the bike shorts, people! In order to be a true Disney lover you have to be into details. Otherwise how could we ride the same rides over and over and over again and enjoy them? Real Scotsmen do not wear anything, that is why they NEED those big things that look like purses on their fronts.

Cooking and cleaning as well as yardwork to be done. Big weekend in town this weekend and my oldest grandson is going to use my house as his center of operations as he is not going to be allowed to run around much. He is not eating now. Granny is going to make him some custard and tell him it is dessert and not good for him at all. I are one trickly old lady and am on a mission to get my boy well again.

Dec. 6th to 14th.... not soon enough.. I planning an impromtu trip but since I lost my camera I am saving the $$$ to get a new one!!! I mean I have the big one but that is only for my April trips when I dont do meets and vegitate at the resort and go out at parks for parades and fireworks to capture great pics...

I was even contemplating of a road trip and just showing my face at your door or Bonzi's or Angela's... and also has been checking flights for that Sticky Toffee Pudding that Diba Kris have mentioned in TX !!!!!!!!
