Disney discounted room only offer on UK-Expedia; ended 31 March.

I just upgraded from a garden view to a water view at Yacht Club! It was over 50% cheaper than the rate through Disney. :cool1:

I really, Really, REALLY want to move my ressie to BC because of this deal. Right now my friends and I are booked for 2 nights at POP--it would be double $$ to move but I am thinking the pool and the ability to walk to Epcot/DHS is worth it. Any reports of issues (i.e. lost ressie, etc) upon check-in? I am just concerned if we switch to a 3rd party vendor there might be issues. I booked AKL last year through Travelocity and the CMs gave me grief with a MB issue when we checked in--they couldn't see the guest names (even though on my MDE I screen I could see them LOL) since we hadn't booked direct. I would think this would be fine since UK travelers obviously use Expedia LOL. We are also 36 days out and our current MBs are set to be sent to us---as well as ME is already set up--so I have to act fast since it looks like there is a delay in getting the Dis conf #. TIA!!

I don't think you need to cancel and rebook. expedia has a best price guarantee so if you find a better price you just fill out their form and they will refund you the difference. it doesn't even have to be a better price on their website. if you find a better price anywhere up until 48 hours of your trip you can get a refund for the difference. I just filled out the form and will wait to see what happens.

Noticed that some rooms types are now unavailable or increased in price but only for some of the dates we checked this morning, so presume Expedia's room allocation is shrinking.

But there's still many bargains to be found and one of the best is over Thanksgiving in a standard room at Animal Kingdom Lodge for 3-nights from 25th November for £342.84 ($572) against a rack rate of $1,353 so saving 57%. Please note, Walt Disney Travel Company's current offer for European residents will end on the 3rd March, so we're expecting Expedia's offer also end on that date.http://wdtc.disneyinternational.com/Special-Offers.asp?ID=45.

How do we get a disney reservation number so we can link through MDE? I got a value for 72$ a night around Halloween (preferred room). I am taking my son for his birthday.

Hi and if you have any further questions then you might find a quick link to your answers in the original post.

And hopefully you'll find your answer in the following which is pasted from the first post, best of luck and sounds like your son will have a great birthday trip.

You will receive an Expedia Itinerary number but you'll require a second 12 digit number beginning 4xxxxxxxxxxx so to access your reservation on My Disney Experience. Click on #125, #34 and #99.

After a few days a second number should automatically be added to your Expedia Itinerary, if not you will need to e-mail Expedia customer support. Click on #129, #86, #286, #287, #332, #325.

Just made a 3.5 minute call to Expedia UK and was able to change from a Beach Club garden view to a pool/water view for $18.00 Canadian more per night.

I decided to call because I did not want to have to cancel my first reservation which I would have had to do if I made the change online and then deal with the exchange rate as well as the service charge from the credit card company for getting the refund from the first reservation then going through it all again with the new reservation...phew, no thanks!

So, in the end, it took under 4 minutes, I was able to keep my first reservation number and am saving over 55% over Disney's rack rate!!!

Thanks again everyone for all your wonderful advice!!!

Edited to add: I just checked my MDE and it has already been updated from garden view to pool/water view!!! Wow, it took only minutes and I figured it was take a couple days at least for this update to occur!

I asked this question a few times on here with no answers. I messaged expedia through Facebook and they called me back with the conformation numbers. It was a very easy process. Hopefully it works as easily for youpixiedust:

Mine just automatically appeared. I booked on a Friday through UK Expedia. I kept logging back in to check my reservation and my Monday or Tuesday it said "Confirmed" at the top with a reservation number. I put that number into MDE and it worked seemlessly.

Anyone tried adding a person to your reservation? I emailed with no response so I just tried to send them a facebook message. Hopefully that will get an answer.

Does anyone know of a cash back site for a U.S. resident to use when booking through expedia.co.uk?

The rules for the new 10% off code say "for legal residents of the UK".
I see some people have called and used it and posted on here. Although we are able to use the code when we book, I don't want to be charged extra after. Any thoughts/experience on/with this???

HEAD'S UP!!!
I have been trying to decide if we should upgrade to a suite at AS-Music (booked AS-Sports last week) since seeing the new code yesterday. I was actually literally in the process of making a decision when, upon a new search, all of the Disney hotels are now unavailable for my travel days the second week of April. I'm glad booked a room at the AS-Sports last week and linked it to MDE, so I still have that. WOW that was rather quick. So either they all filled up or are no longer available to book through this site any longer.

Also, I just checked random weeks in June and November and the Disney hotels are no longer available.

This is an important question for others to take note of.

I used the reservation made through Expedia UK for a stay at WDW last weekend. Everything worked fine EXCEPT that at the last minute I wanted to add one person to the last day. I was told that the reservation could not be changed by Disney AT ALL, meaning that Disney could not add another person. I was allowed to add the extra person as a day guest and he stayed overnight with no problem - BUT he did not get a Magic Band, only a card room key.

For us, it worked out fine because we were not using Fast Passes or any of the other things that Magic Bands do (I don't even really understand the whole Magic Bands thing) - we were there primarily for the Princess half marathon. But under different circumstances, it might have been a problem that he could not have been added as a "real" guest to the reservation.

I just check a few dates when I will be in Disney as well as a couple of date that family members will be there this summer. None of the Disney resorts is coming up as available for my March, June, August or October dates. Looks like they may have pulled the Disney rooms from their inventory.

Ugh, I'm so upset at myself. I had to different bookings all the way to the checkout screen this morning then decided to wait a bit and work on the dates, then just checked and all Disney rooms are gone. :-(

Yes, I think if you check all months it will show as "No rooms available on the selected dates"

Try not to worry too much at the moment as hopefully it's only temporary issue, we've noticed the same issue on at least 3-occasions over the last 2-months and with fingers crossed and a little prayer the availability and with lower prices will show up again soon and still be around until 3rd March, so keep checking back
