Disney discounted room only offer on UK-Expedia; ended 31 March.

Never mind!!! I just figured out my mistake!!!
We aren't dealing in euros, but British pounds!!!
Duh!!!

What am I doing wrong?
I am trying to book four rooms for September, and the conversion to dollars is coming out to be waaaay more than any currency converters showing for today.
The rooms are totaled at 1410.36 euros, and conversion should be about $1938.23. But they a trying to charge my cc over $2352.
Can someone helpme out?
Great Britain is on sterling pounds. Not the euro.

I'm kicking myself for not booking earlier in the week. Prices have jumped quite a bit :(. Even with the 10% discount.:confused3

Looks like the main party's over and unfortunately prices have increased across the board, but there's still some savings to be made.

We've compared a few rooms for later this year against rack rate........

All-Star Music Resort Standard Room between 24th Aug-30th Sept and between 13th Oct-16th Nov at £50.30 ($84) per night. Rack rate between $101 and $138.

Animal Kingdom Lodge standard view between 24th Aug-8th Dec at £128.42 ($215) per night. Rack rate between $319 and $451.

Wilderness Lodge Standard View between 24th Aug-3rd Oct and 9th Nov-8th Dec at £150.35 ($251) per night. Rack rate between £325 and $465.

So the offer might still be worth considering for those looking for a general public rate for a few days over a weekend or holiday for later this year.

If you do find a reasonable rate then please post. Good luck.....

Added later:
8th March through to 12th April in a standard room at Animal Kingdom Lodge for £152.81 ($255) per night against rack rate between $465 and $506, so saving between 45% and 49% on rack.
Disney's Spring saving between March 14 to April 12 could save 30% on rack rate, while Annual Passholders could save 37% for dates between Mar 14 – Mar 29.
So there's still savings to be made, but they're fewer and just not as good as yesterday.

Looks like the 10% discount code may not be working anymore. :confused3 At 12:30 this morning, we used it to book 4 nights (10/1/14-10/5/14) at the Yacht Club, garden view for 587 GBP ($978.00.) Rack rate through Disney is $2002.
I'm pretty excited about it. :cool1:

Same exact dates and room I rebooked on Monday! See you there!

Can I still purchase a dining plan and tickets for my room through Disney and then link them to these reservations in MDE?
No. You cannot get the dining plan without purchasing a package. However, you can purchase your tickets anywhere and you should be able to link them in MDE.

Got my tickets linked...have to figure out how to link them to my 12/12 reservation and not my 11/27 reservation...,,right now they are just sitting in MDE under tickets....lol. I will be able to use my MagicBands right?

Just booked another res at AKL for the fall. I know about the whole Booked/Confirmed thing and when I just looked now (about 10 minutes after I made the reservation) it already says confirmed but with a weird alpha numeric code. Anyone have this happen? It's not the usually 44.... code.

Anyone know of a way to book a CL room at AKL this way? We really want to do the sunrise safari, but expedia UK doesn't list any of the CL rooms, even though they show as available direct from Disney.

Disney doesn't make all room types at every resort available for discount sites. I saw some folks got YC CL rooms through this deal earlier in the week but they were gone when I started looking.

Thanks for the insights; I was afraid that was the answer, but sometimes there is yet another "trick" someone knows.

Someone else was reporting on another thread that they were able to book the DDP to a room only reservation. They said it was called the better together plan. The person said that you have to call to do it. Probably something Disney is testing. I always thought it would be smart for them to open the dining plan up like that because plenty of people would purchase when booking separately.

I need some help and I don't have time to go back through the thread. The reason is my 94 year old dad broke his hip today and is having surgery tomorrow and either way the surgery goes I cannot go on my March 8 trip. Can I change the date on Expedia UK or do I just have to cancel? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that plan still requires a full priced room booked through Disney.

I went back in to reprice my stay and it's 10 pounds more per night than it was before (was 78 pounds, now 88 pounds). That's without the discount. Guess I should have just bit the bullet and booked but I didn't. :(
