Disney discounted room only offer on UK-Expedia; ended 31 March.

Are there still any deals from 10/2-10/7? We were thinking Caribbean but WL or Contemp wd be great if deal good eniugh.
Are you having trouble accessing the expedia.com.uk website? You could check those rates for yourself.

Thanks Samaya!

for some silly reason i was expecting to see the rack rate and discounted rate on expedia.

Sorry you couldn't find any deals, which resorts/dates were you searching for as the offers still on?

And here's a few examples we found this morning....

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Standard View £136.30 ($228) per night between 3rd and 31st March, whereas rack rate varies $428 and $506, so a saving between 46% and 55%.

Disney's All-Star Music Resort Standard View £53.95 ($90) between 17th March and 13th April, whereas rack rate varies $152 and $186, so a saving between 40% and 51%.

Disney's Yacht Club Resort Standard View Club Level £206.52 ($343) per night between 2nd September and 15th October, whereas rack rate varies $657 and $757, so a saving between 47% and 55%.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Savannah View £139.64 ($233) per night between 9th October and 8th December, whereas rack rate varies between $457 and $569, so a saving between 49% and 59%.

As you can see there's still some amazing savings against rack rate, with the highest over weekend nights and holidays like Columbus and Thanksgiving but you need to be flexible with both dates and resorts, hope you can find something........

Usually check the rack rate against WDW or US-Expedia.

Does the Orbitz automatically show up with the discount on your credit card?

I didn't even see anything about me getting the 20 % back except when I first clicked on to it. Am wondering if I will get the credit???

No, it isn't a statement credit on your credit card. Ebates will credit your Ebates account for the amount. You will then have to wait until Ebates sends their rebates out, which is once per quarter. The next rebate check will go out on May 15.

Thank you Marionette. I feel a little better but at no time while I was finishing up ordering my tickets did it tell me there would be a rebate coming. Oh well, if I did something wrong, at least I won't be over paying the regular price for them.

As long as you went through the Ebates link and were logged in with your email, you will get the credit. It doesn't say anything at all when you check out.

Oh great. Then I did do it correctly. So now our resort room has been linked with MDE, I have my tickets and yesterday I booked ME which is already showing up on MDE!!!

Only thing left to do is book my ADR's in a few weeks and all will be done!!!

Thank you everyone who has helped on this thread. We have saved a bundle because of you!!!

Yep, you are good! You should get am email from Ebates in a few days with your credit, which will be paid in May. In about 4-5 days, you can call or email Orbitz for your My Magic number, which will enable you to link your tickets to MDE.

I really appreciate all this advice. I guess I just wait now for a few days and will call for my number.
Thanks again for all your guidance :thumbsup2

Hello all,
I am looking into this deal for the end of July. 26-31, but I am not seeing any deals. Are there no deals for these dates? Or am I just missing something. Thanks :)
Edit: This is with me assuming that there will be room only discounts for the summer coming out soon, however.

Hello Patman and welcome to the Disboards and yes the offers aren't so good over that period and one reason might be because it's also the dates when our British schools are on summer-break, 23rd July-31st August.

And so to make comparisons against possible future room only discounts have you checked out the historic discounts at MouseSavers and also look into buying an Annual Pass as there can be some great room-only discounts.

And here's some of the 'not so good' offers on Expedia.co.uk for those 5-nights of July. 26-31.....

Caribbean Beach Resort
Standard View £449.65 ($749) - US-Expedia $1,102.50 - Therefore saving 34%
Pirate - Standard View £504.60 ($839) - US-Expedia $1,434.40 - Therefore saving 41%

Animal Kingdom Lodge
Standard View £731.65 ($1,219) - US-Expedia $1,653.75 - Therefore saving 26%
Savannah View £961.60 ($1,601) - US-Expedia $2,151.02 - Therefore saving 25%

Beach Club Resort
Standard View £850.30 ($1,416) - US-Expedia $2,143.15 - Therefore saving 34%
Standard View Club Level £1,251.45 ($2,083) - US-Expedia $3,031.90 - Therefore saving 31%

And best of luck in finding a good rate.....

thank you so much! I couldn't do it from my phone!

There a new 10% off code for Expedia UK. I just got it to work booking the Wilderness Lodge for November ($610 for 3 nights). It's HAPPYTRAVEL10

Thank you for the info about the new 10 percent off code from Expedia UK. Am curious if we just booked a room last week, can we email them to apply the discount to our current reservation to get a 10 percent refund or do we have to cancel and rebook?
Thank you to anyone who can help with some info!

Thanks for posting this! I was kicking myself for not booking the rest of my trip when it was 10% last time. Just booked 4 nites Pop 9/29-10/2 preferred room for $360 to add to my Yacht club stay previously booked.

This happened to me last month. To avoid calling the UK, I just cancelled and rebooked. Got my refund the next day. No problems.
