Disney dining plan again!!!

hi all

can anyone please tell us the procedure with the plan.

how do we book the meals or do we have to book?

can we use them at california grill?

how do restaurants know we are on the plan?

any places to avoid or make an effort to go?

any other info be very gratefully recieved.

we have stayed on disney a few times but never used DDP

here is the phone number for disney dining...407-939-3463).

you can book meals at 180 days before the day (plus 10 days afterwards if you are staying onsite)

california grill is on the ddp but is 2 credits per person (usually table service meals are 1 credit )

how do restaurants know we are on the plan? You can either tell them when you are seated or wait until the check comes

any places to avoid or make an effort to go? Just make sure you try and make use of your counter service meals. We found we had some left. You can use your snack credits in your resort shop, we brought a box of doughnuts/milk/bread etc with ours

Here is a link to the Disney brouchure for 2007 that explains it quite nicely and lists all the places you can eat and what credit types are used there.

ADR's are recommended to make sure you can eat where you want
