disney dining experience for room service

I just bought the Disney dining experience pass for passholders, which I thought was a great deal. It gives you 20% off of most sit down meals, including character meals. Does anyone know if the discount applies to room service? Also does any one know if you can preorder breakfast the night before, so it is delivered at a certain time the next morning? We are staying at the Poly in Feb. Thanks!

The DDE is not accepted for room service.

I do believe you can pre-order your breakfast but if my memory serves, the childrens breakfasts were NOT on the preorder form and my daughter would have been heartbroken without the Mickey pancake.

However, that does not mean you can't call room service and ask but it seemed easier to just call in the morning.

I think they're talking about the Disney Dining Experience which is different than the MYW Dining Plan. So the links posted here do not apply to the DDE card.

Thank you for the info! I saw that Disney adds an 18% gratuity charge to the room service bill. Does anyone know if you are supposed to give the person delivering room service an aditional tip?

You can preorder breakfast at the Polynesian including the famous Tonga Toast as well as Mickey Pancakes. We've ordered both any number of times.

Like most hotels, you choose a half hour time period for delivery. It has been our experience that room service is very prompt and tends to come very close to the beginning of the half hour we've selected.

We really enjoy room service at the Polynesian. We just purchased the DDE card too and time will tell if that 20%off leads to less room service for us.
