Does anyone know if there is a discount for the dining plan if you have an AP and are a DVC member???

We initated our annual pass just a few days prior to the tour. - so I guess Disney would not credit us back some of the money for the AP's since we bought DVC during this trip??

Anyone know this??

There is a discount on the DDE for Annual Passholders of $25.00 from the normal Flordia resident rate of $85.00. There isn't a DVC members' discount on the DDE card.

You're actually asking two questions here, but I'll take a stab at both.

There is not really an AP discount for the DDE card. There are two ways to qualify for the DDE card -- by being a Florida resident or an AP holder. As HBC noted above, the Florida resident price is now $85 and the AP price is $60.

There is no DVC discount, or even eligibility for DDE. DDE has nothing to do with DVC.

That would have been a GREAT question to ask before you bought! My guess is no, but I'd ask your guide if they can do anything. All they can do is say no, and you won't be any worse off.

We joined last June, it was the first day of our renewal of our AP's. Went we got back to Epcot we when to guest relatetions with our temp ID as a DVC member. Yes we got the DVC rate and a refund.

No rebate even if you bought the day before you were eligible for discount passes. DVC has addressed this question.

Some have reported success in upgrading their regularly-priced AP to a DVC-discounted Premium AP. Don't count on getting any money back from the transaction, but with the PAP you will have unlimited visits for your year to the waterparks, DQ, PI and the WWOS - for the same price you originally paid for the AP.
