Disney Dining,DIS Meets, and WAIT-Why is that lady holding..... FINAL THOUGHTS 11/27

what wonderful PP pictures!! You have a beautiful family.

So sad what is happening down in the Gulf. The beach pictures do look so lonely--like in the middle of winter as oppose to high season.

Chef Mickey's sounds yummy! I will have to try to get an ADR there on another trip.:goodvibes

I'm really enjoying your TR!!

. It is not hard to spend eight hours unearthing the desks and putting our tubs, books, and centers where they belong.

You got that completely right! :thumbsup2 How can one room get so dirty?

Great CM update :thumbsup2. The pictures are really good too.

As much as I love Disney and enjoy every trip; there will never be a trip like the first.

Thanks, Dana! :)

You're right---that first trip is special! :goodvibes

I met Pinnochio that last time I was in MK too! And it rained that day...maybe he only comes out when its supposed to rain lol.

Maybe.......:) That's funny. I might need to do some research with a few more trips.....................................:rolleyes1

Yay for Pinocchio! I've never seen him - maybe this trip?

I am so sad that Small World won't be open when we go. It's probably my favorite - relaxing(ish, besides all the noise of course!)

Hope you get to see him on this trip! :)

Even though SW is not a favorite of mine, it is a classic, and I would be sad if it was closed during one of my visits.

Thanks, Stephanie! :) That's very nice of you to say!

In all of our trips to Disney, I've never seen Pinocchio. :confused3 Glad to hear that you guys enjoyed Chef Mickey's. We ate dinner there a couple of years ago and I didn't like the food at all. Maybe, we should give breakfast a try.

What a great morning so far! You certainly got a lot in before your breakfast reservation. I have never seen Pinnochio or the evil step-mother and step-sisters - good job! :thumbsup2.

I can't wait to hear all about the rest of your day. MK is my favorite park!

We had never seen him either, so that was why I made the kids stop right then! :)

Breakfast=YUM! Definitely give it a try!:thumbsup2

Yes---I like to get a lot done before I leave for a late breakfast. :thumbsup2

All caught up now! I'm loving your TR. Your family is beautiful!

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

Sorry, I have been so long in getting these updates out. These weeks before the start of school are pretty hectic, with me trying to get my classroom ready. We start school this coming Monday. Maybe after we get back into the groove of the routine, I'll be able to DIS more frequently.

So, let me get on with this!

Day 4---Part 2 Magic Kingdom

Tuesday, May 25

I left off with our family having finished our late breakfast at Chef Mickey’s. It was around noon, and after making restroom stops, we boarded the monorail to head back to the Magic Kingdom. As we got through the tickets gate, we saw Dana (raceranof88), Dale and Dallas. We stopped to talk a little with them, but it was very warm standing directly in the sun, so we soon parted ways.

We decided to take the train to Frontier land. We rode the train several times when the girls were younger, but as they got older, they didn’t care as much about it. We realized that Reid had never ridden it, so the train it was!

IMG_1337.jpg

After arriving in Frontierland, we grabbed fastpasses for Splash Mountain. We had some time to kill, and it was so hot, so we decided to see the Hall of Presidents. This is one of those things we don’t see every time we’re at Disney. In fact, it had probably been about 4 or 5 years since we’d seen it. Plus, we knew it would be a nice break from the heat.

We arrived about 15 minutes before a show was to start, so after looking at the exhibits, we sat and relaxed for a while. Reid laid back, took it easy, and played a little Pokémon! ;)

IMG_1338.jpg

After enjoying the show---even though there was some crazy person using flash photography during it! :headache: (Afterwards, the cute little CM running the show thanked those of us who did not use flash photography.)----We headed back to Splash Mtn. to use our fast pass. The stand-by line was very long at this point, somewhere around 70 minutes. It was nice to pass by those hot, tired, folks waiting in that long line.

IMG_1340.jpg

It was a past 2 o’clock at this time, so we decided to find a shady spot and sit and wait for the Dream Come True Parade. We grabbed the little covered walk area, just a little up from Pecos Bills. As soon as we claimed our spot, it was decided that we needed a little snack!

IMG_1342.jpg

:)YUM! So good that I had already bitten an ear, before I realized that I needed to take a picture!

Pretty soon, it was time for the parade! First off were the “Grand Marshalls” of the parade—Miss Piggy and Kermit---saluting the VoluntEARs!

IMG_1357.jpg

HEY! We saw him earlier this morning----

IMG_1358.jpg

BUT, we didn’t see this little fellow with him-

My favorites, from one of my all-time favorite Disney movies---

IMG_1369.jpg

Reid didn’t seem too excited about seeing her……..

***CONTINUED IN NEXT POST

When there are step-sisters around, there must be a princess nearby!

IMG_1371.jpg

IMG_1372.jpg

And in any Disney parade, if there’s one princess, then there are several more right behind her!

IMG_1373.jpg

IMG_1374.jpg

IMG_1375.jpg

IMG_1376.jpg

Aloha, Lilo and Stitch!

IMG_1377.jpg

Howdy, Woody and Jess!

IMG_1378.jpg

Yes—I plan to do this ---EVERYDAY---

IMG_1379.jpg

After the parade finished, we decided to use our fast passes for Space Mountain. (We’d gotten these that morning on the way out to our breakfast.) We crossed through Liberty Square and cut across the hub.

IMG_1387.jpg

It was a good time to stop and have photo pass picture made.

Photo0426.jpg

We walked to Reid’s favorite---

IMG_1388.jpg

Afterwards, we decided to ride the TTA---or should I call it by its “new” name-the TTA Peoplemover! Funny, because I’ve always called it the PeopleMover. This was a first for Reid. He liked it, thought it was a little slow, but still sorta cool.

Off topic funny story---My mother is not a thrill rider at all. When we would visit Disney while I was a kid, the PeopleMover was one of her favorite rides-that and Eastern Airlines, “If you had wings…” So, now every time we return from a trip, she’ll ask us, “Did you ride the PeopleMover?” like it’s some major attraction not to be missed! :lmao::lmao:

So we all smiled and said, “CHEESE” for Nana-

IMG_1391.jpg

Some scenes as we traveled around Tomorrow Land-

IMG_1392.jpg

IMG_1393.jpg

We stopped in Monsters Laugh Floor, and then when we came out, Kevin had to take pictures of TREES!! :confused3 He is obsessed with trees and shrubs at Disney. He will see things he likes that he thinks he might want in our own yard. If he doesn’t know the name of the tree/plant, he will take pictures of it so he can find out when he gets home! WEIRD, I know. ;)

IMG_1395.jpg

IMG_1396.jpg

AND, what does a hot, tired wife and children do while Daddy is taking pictures of trees?

IMG_1397.jpg

Finally the horticulturist was finished with his tree research, and we headed back to the hub.

IMG_1399.jpg

Until I saw pictures of these on another trip report, I had never really noticed all these little statues around the Walt one in the center of the hub.

I think this next one is my favorite. I just think it’s so cute with them holding hands!

IMG_1405.jpg

IMG_1406.jpg

IMG_1386.jpg

Some photo “hog” always has to get in the picture---;)

IMG_1385.jpg

We noticed the set up in front of the castle for the show. I think it was for the 5:15 show, which would be the last one of the day. We’ve never seen the show, and it didn’t seem very crowded. I guess the parents with younger kids watch the earlier shows, and are back swimming and resting at this time.

IMG_1407.jpg

So, we decided to go over, grab a seat and watch it.

IMG_1408.jpg

IMG_1412.jpg

Uh oh---Here comes trouble!

IMG_1415.jpg

Never fear, the good guys are here!

IMG_1416.jpg

I meant--Good guys and gals and good princesses and princes!

IMG_1422.jpg

I realized I took a LOT of pictures of this show---but it was so cute. I loved it! Glad we stopped and watched it.

UP NEXT---EXACTLY HOW LONG DID WE WAIT IN LINE TO SEE TINKERBELL?

Great update, so many pictures, I love them! Especially the ones from the afternoon parade, I always skip that parade and after seeing so many pictures from it, I think I really want to try to see it this year! :thumbsup2

I LOVE the people mover, I'm so glad they put that back into the name of the attraction! It's such a nice way to relax and see Tomorrowland! :)

I love those little statues in front of the castle, my DH loves them too, he always wants to stop and look at them all as we are walking through! He's not a big fan of MK, but he loves those statues for some reason! :confused3 :rotfl:

Great update, Michelle. I love the little statues at the hub (Mark always gets one taken with Dumbo) and I agree with you -- love the Chip & Dale one. We've not watched the show in front of the castle for awhile. I think, since we'll probably miss the parade this year, that we'll try to catch the show.

Since your hubby is so interested in the trees and bushes at Disney, you should tell him they change some of them every year so you can plan a trip back.

Your pictures are great...and your family just gorgeous.

Great update, Michelle
I love all your parade and castle show pictures
I've noticed the little statues around the Mickey and Walt statue, I've only taken pictures of Goofy and Pluto before... never really looked at the other ones, but they're all cute (:

Great update!

I love the pics of the statues around the hub..they are too cute

The castle show looks really neat and you got some great pics of it.

Also that photpass pic of you guys is awesome!:goodvibes

Aww, we never stop to watch the day parades, but I love your pictures of the princesses! Their floats are beautiful!
We also love those statues :-) Something so classy and old-fashioned about them-- Dumbo is my favorite!

We usually don't watch any parades except for Spectro. :goodvibes But while we were there in March, I caught the end of the afternoon MK parade, and thought it really looked cute. So I thought I'd get the family to watch it on our May trip.

Since your hubby is so interested in the trees and bushes at Disney, you should tell him they change some of them every year so you can plan a trip back.

:lmao: I love it! Sounds like a great idea!

Your pictures are great...and your family just gorgeous.

Thanks so much, Kathy! You're sweet. :)

I think it looks even better with a bite taken out! :thumbsup2

Fantastic pics of the parade and the afternoon show!

Thanks, Denise! :)

I kind of like that bite out too! ;)

I love this pictures of the statues! I don't know that I'd ever noticed them before either...

Cute, aren't they? :thumbsup2

Great update, Michelle

Thanks, Sara! :)

I loved the castle show---It just goes to show that no matter how many times you go to DisneyWorld, there's always something you haven't done/seen before!

Sounds like us! As my girls have gotten older, they don't always care about watching a parade, and Reid....well, he's a typical boy---He'd rather be riding something fast than sitting and watching floats go by!

But, this parade is really cute-and I'm glad we watched it during this trip!

We stopped in Monsters Laugh Floor, and then when we came out, Kevin had to take pictures of TREES!! :confused3 He is obsessed with trees and shrubs at Disney. But! Then it's like you have a little bit of Disney in your yard!!! :thumbsup2

How about trees that look like those? I wouldn't mind a Mickey and Minnie "tree". ;)

Great update! That is a wonderful Photopass picture of your family - and I'm a huge fan of the TTA Peoplemover. It's such a nice relaxing ride... I never knew it as the Peoplemover, but still, for nostalgic sake, I'm glad they put it back in! :goodvibes
