Disney Dining,DIS Meets, and WAIT-Why is that lady holding..... FINAL THOUGHTS 11/27

Totes loving your TR!!!!

The boardwalk all lit up at night is so gorgeous... we are currently on the WL for their and BLT this december!

Im shocked that illuminations is your least fave! I love love love it! I would say fantasmic is my least favorite.. and wishes is hands down the best!

Thanks, Meagan! :)

That entire area (BW, BC, YC) is so pretty at night. :goodvibes That or BLT would be great for your December trip.

Different strokes, I guess. Fantasmic runs a close tie for first with Wishes for me. Good thing Disney offers so many different things for all us! :)

Great update, Michelle. Rachel definitely looks to have a talent in photography; nice that Reid found a friend to talk about Pokemon with. I love the photos at CP (we've never done dinner, but we NEVER miss breakfast).

Thanks, Kathy! :)

I really think she has a natural talent in that area. :thumbsup2

It's always nice when my young, active boy finds someone to talk to for a short while---It helps keep him entertained temporarily! ;)

I love the breakfast at CP too. This was our first time to have dinner here. We enjoyed it. We had dinner at 1900 PF this past December, and didn't care for it so much---thought the variety at CP was much better.

I am headed to Tuscaloosa on Monday---taking 10 girls for cheer camp at the university----will be in the dorm with them through Thursday!

Cheer camp...oh my. :cheer2: I bet I know which residence hall you will be staying in there. I was an Resident Advisor and Hall Director at Bama. I wish you luck with cheer camp, it's gonna be a hot one it appears.

Awww!! I love how you posted the 2 pics of the girls walking down Main Street!! What a difference!! CP is one of our favorite dinner buffets--so much yummy food to choose from! And teh character interaction there is fantastic!!

Loved your pics from the EE stand-by line! We've only ever FP'd it, so I've missed a lot of the theming.

I was rolling with laughter as I read the story about Kevin and that lady! :rotfl2:

I enjoyed the pics from Nemo; we haven't managed to see that yet.

:lmao: about the spoonbill pic...I knew you probably wouldn't post it, but I was wondering...:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

So glad you enjoyed your CP dinner; I wasn't impressed, but that's just me.

Rachel's photos are gorgeous! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to see who the friends are that you run into!

I loved this last update. Not that I didn't like the others but this one seemed special because you had a picture of the girls walking down Main Street when they were younger and then the present day one. Those pictures made me smile. :)

Michelle, I think that you're right. Rachel does have an eye for photography. She did extremely well with the picture of the flowers with the Crystal Palace in the background. Who knows? Maybe one day she'll be a famous photographer.

Speaking of Rachel, the pictures of her trying the clam were too funny. My kids (nor their parents really) are adventurous eaters. But, when we go someplace that has something "different" on the buffet, I'll try it. May not like it, but I'll try it.

Looking forward to the next update!

I missed a couple of updates.
Too funny that lady hanging on your husband too, too funny. If I was her I would beat up her husband for telling her that it was just a train ride. But then again, I would of been more observant and found out what it was before I went on.
I always wanted to try out CP. Maybe next time. I hope. Looks like you guys are having a wonderful day.

The picture of the girls was so sweet!

CP is another one of those restaurants on my list to try. Loved the card and confetti. That was cool. :cool2:

Have fun at cheer camp. My nephew just got back from football camp down there and my SIL said it was crazy!

Goodness! I am so far behind...catching up....

I am glad the stuff Kevin got seemed to fix the AC. I hope it held true on the way home too.

BC: I like the room overall though sounds like you did not like the location of it. I would not mind staying there sometime. :thumbsup2

How funny you got to sit with Leanne's friends, Jay and Leona, from KY. Small world! :goodvibes

:lmao: that poor woman! How kind of Kevin to be to her while riding EE. No pictures that go around! The shots from the first ride were great--considering I probably won't go on it! Just how I like to experience a roller coaster. :thumbsup2

I love how you can show how big your girls have gotten by showcasing two similar photos of them walking together. Beautiful shots from MK of the flowers and such...DH just rolls his eyes because I love taking those type of photos. :goodvibes

I definitely want to try CP sometime. So, since you just tried it for Dinner and have eaten there for breakfast, which do you prefer?

Looks like a fabulous time at CP! I was so sad to miss it in Jan when it was closed for refurb!!! I can't wait to go again in Dec!

A quick time out--- This picture was taken during our first trip to DisneyWorld, in 2001. Elizabeth was 7 and Rachel was 5. :goodvibes

Flash back to the present of this trip, nine years later-

IMG_1134.jpg

First of all, I LOVE balloon photos!

Second, what a cool then/now shot of the girls! I think I need to do that with my girls on our next trip. :goodvibes

I think it is so unfair that they grow up and don't realize just how magical we, as parents, think they are. I know I never thought about what I meant to my Mom, until recently. I also don't think they realize how much THEY influence every decision we make. I'm so blessed to see how a new Mom looks at her new baby and the look of love on her face is usually priceless. OK, I'm done being mushy, I love the update and the pix :thumbsup2:thumbsup2.

Cheer camp...oh my. :cheer2: I bet I know which residence hall you will be staying in there. I was an Resident Advisor and Hall Director at Bama. I wish you luck with cheer camp, it's gonna be a hot one it appears.

I am now back from camp---Long week, and very tiring---and YES, it was VERY hot. We stayed in Tutwiler and walked to the Football indoor facility every morning, then back to Tut. for lunch, then back to FB facility for afternoon session, then back to Tut. for dinner, then back to the indoor facility for evening session, and finally back to Tut. for bed.

*YAWN* I get tired just thinking about it! ;) But my girls did great---worked hard and did a great job! :thumbsup2

Awww!! I love how you posted the 2 pics of the girls walking down Main Street!! What a difference!! CP is one of our favorite dinner buffets--so much yummy food to choose from! And teh character interaction there is fantastic!!

Thanks, Becky! I have a picture from almost every year we've been of those girls walking up Main Street! :goodvibes

I think the characters at CP are probably what makes it one of my favorites. :)

Thanks, Denise! :)

You will have to try to see the Nemo show next time you are at DW.

We did enjoy the CP dinner. The food is good enough (but at least it does have a lot of variety), but I just think the characters at CP make the meals there more special. Gotta love Pooh! :goodvibes

Thanks, Lisa! I understand what you mean! I have tried to take a picture like that first one every time we've visited Disney World. :) And, then when Rachel is a famous photographer, she can do the same with her kids! ;)

I missed a couple of updates.

We have always enjoyed CP. We've had breakfast several times there, but this was the first time for us to eat dinner there.

The picture of the girls was so sweet!

Have fun at cheer camp. My nephew just got back from football camp down there and my SIL said it was crazy!

Thanks, Deanna! :)

We like CP---We enjoyed the dinner there, and we've always loved the breakfast there, as well.

Ahh---Cheer camp--- :cheer2: ---Got back home yesterday. There were probably about 40 squads there, with anywhere from 8-20 girls per squad. This was session four, and it's not nearly as crazy as the first session. They have around 1200-1500 girls that first week! :scared1: However, it was HOT! That walk from Tutwiler dorm to the Football Indoor training facility (which we made three round trips each day) got longer and longer every day!

BTW---I had forgotten to ask, how did you like Eclipse? I'm sure you've already seen it! My 16yrDD went to the midnight showing. I was at camp, and we are not allowed to leave campus, so Rachel and I will have to go see it this weekend.

It's so ok that you're behind and having to catch up, Stephanie! :) After being away for a week, I feel like I'm playing catch up on my own trip report!

Would you believe the AC is still working? How strange was that entire situation?!?

We have eaten breakfast at CP many times before, but this was our first time to try dinner there. As far as which we prefer-I'm not sure I favor one over the other. There's a great variety of foods on either menu, and the same characters are present. In thinking back, the only difference I might have noticed is the time thing. There have been times during breakfast there that I felt rushed by the server to finish up and clear out for the next customer. I didn't feel that way duing dinner. I think that Lilian would enjoy either meal, simply because of the characters. :thumbsup2

Looks like a fabulous time at CP! I was so sad to miss it in Jan when it was closed for refurb!!! I can't wait to go again in Dec!

Thanks! :) ---We had a great time at CP!

First of all, I LOVE balloon photos!

Second, what a cool then/now shot of the girls! I think I need to do that with my girls on our next trip. :goodvibes

Thanks, Rebecca! :)

I staged that first trip's photo, and then tried to remember to stage one for the next few trips after that. On some trip, I forgot to stage one, but got home and found that we had somehow gotten the same shot anyway. I'm not sure how that works.

I think it is so unfair that they grow up and don't realize just how magical we, as parents, think they are. I know I never thought about what I meant to my Mom, until recently. Thanks, Dana! :)

You can have your mushy moment---nothing wrong with sentimentality! Of course, you are so right---they have no idea what they mean to us as parents. They are true blessings. :goodvibes

I am back home from taking my JV girls to cheer camp this week. :cheer2: We had a great week. They worked hard all week and placed third in their division during camp champs for their cheer and their extreme routine. :thumbsup2

I have not been on the DIS for almost a week, so I have a LOT of catching up to do. Be patient with me, and I'll try to get an update posted as soon as I can. First I must do some laundry :laundy: .................Seems my oldest daughter or husband couldn't figure out how to run a load while I was gone for four days. :confused3

I'll leave you with a picture from camp this week---it was made during fan day. It was of the entire squad, but I edited out everyone except Rachel to post here. (The album is on my FB.)
