After trying out the 7 day free trial, I took the plunge and bought a year subscription for Disney Digital Books.

What took me over the edge to buy it was tonight one of my twin daughters spent 2 hours reading the books online, and wanted to stay up to read more.
There are several features I thought would help my kids (son 9, twin girls 6):
1. Several Levels of reading: You have listening books, plus 3 different reading levels. If you get stuck on a word you can click on it with a "magic pen" and it says the world for you.
2. Individual accounts: Each child gets their own account, and as a parent you can monitor how they are doing, how many books they have read etc.
3. Trophies: Fir each book read, the child gets a certain amount of points. After a certain number of points are achieved, they get a trophy.
For my kids I think it's a good value at $79.99 a year. As a single dad, I just don't have the time to read as much as I'd like to with them, so thi gives them an opportunity to read by themselves with a little help.
