I figured since booking opened for Pearl today, someone could start a thread for people to report their booking quotes as they are able to.

Going to borrow @AquaDame's thread format. If she objects, I will make something different.

The purpose of this thread is so prices for OPENING DAY can be tracked in one place.

We will include Castaway Club status - if you do not say which group you belong to, we will assume it is for the current day's opening when you post.

Sept 6, 2024: Pearl Castaway Club Members
Sept 9, 2024: Platinum Castaway Club Members
Sept 10, 2024: Gold Castaway Club Members
Sept 11, 2024: Silver Castaway Club Members
Sept 12, 2024: General Public

Once the prices are released to the general public (Sept 12th) we will cease to include quotes unless we are specifically told in the post which CC status and/or day it was booked.

PLEASE INCLUDE THE PASSENGER PRICE BREAKDOWN IN YOUR POST IF YOU HAVE IT
This allows others to have an idea of how much it would be with a different number of people in the same category.

Example for a family of four with two adults and two children ages 10 and 8:
Wonder Date 11B 2A2K (10,8) $5200 [1800|1800|800|800] no ins/xfer/air/OBB

Thank you for your help - it is invaluable to others who can't yet get quotes for planning their cruises!

IF A QUOTE WAS POSTED FOR 1A1K, IT IS LISTED AS 2A SINCE THE COST OF THE FIRST TWO PEOPLE IN A STATEROOM IS NOT DEPENDENT ON THE AGE OF EITHER GUEST.

Pearl Destiny 01/26/26 5-night Bahamas - 2A - Cat 9C - $3,256.40 [$1,485.00, $1,485.00, taxes/fees $286.40] No insurance, transfers or air. Deck 8, Cabin 8500 forward.

I totally forgot today was Pearl booking so I didn't book until this evening so don't know how much prices went up from this morning.

I actually had the MV in my cart this evening and then said nah....

Haven't you done every MV so far?

No....I wish....we were on the Magic MV, Dream MV and Wish MV. My friend and I were very, very tempted to do the Treasure MV but when dates were announced I did not want to pay for the holiday premium of the MV plus the MV itself price premium.

Then we thought well maybe we should do the Destiny MV but again, paying the premium for the MV plus being so close to Thanksgiving I know airfare would be extra high as well.

Decided to go with my husband for his birthday that week as it was more reasonably priced and it is 5 nights instead of 4.

I’m surprised this thread has such little activity.
I wonder if it’s become a bit of “overload” of new ships. In just a few years we’ve had the Wish, Treasure, and now Destiny.
When the Dream first entered service, people were clamoring for every bit of information. European cruises stopping in Germany offered very expensive excursions to visit the shipyard just to have a glimpse.

Someone took the time to label a photo of each exterior window of the Dream with its corresponding stateroom number.

People sailing on the MV posted photos of the Mickey shaped knobs on the drawers, others were actually stealing them, along with the now-removed red embroidered throw pillows.

It was as if we were all just salivating over every detail and we couldn't get enough of it all.

Nowadays reaction to a new ship being released is like, “Oh that’s nice. Squirrel!” and we move on to something else.

It reminds me of my in-laws reaction to their 12th grandchild being born (our youngest).
Mmmnnn, he’s cute but no we don’t babysit.

I remember being much more excitement for the Wish. This is the third ship in this class, yes the bars and restaurants are rethemed but apart from a Hercules musical and a Lion King show there isn’t tons that’s new to experience.

I remember being much more excitement for the Wish.
Agree with this. Other than a brand new class of ships, the incremental changes to the classes doesn't get as much attention. Not that it would keep us from wanting to try each new ship that comes out though. :sail:

We’ve sailed DCL 28 times and I just can’t get into the Wish enough to want to sail on her.

It sounds silly but we always walk a mile on the promenade after dinner and before the show. We also love the chairs on deck 4.
Not having a promenade is really a turn off.
I wish I could get excited enough to push me to pay the extra cost vs older ships but it just doesn’t attract me.

Would somebody mind pricing this for me? We’re gold so we won’t know until Tuesday. I would love to get an idea for the deposit amounts!

Destiny 12/30/25

Stateroom 1: 3 Adults

Deluxe Oceanview w/ Verandah, Deck 8 Midship

Stateroom 2: 2 Adults

Standard Inside, Deck 8 midship

Thanks in Advance!

I can’t speak to all of these things, but I just got off the Dream and there was absolutely an extremely expensive shore excursion (from Hamburg) to visit the Treasure in its shipyard and it sold out. I considered it, but it was a really long day and sounded like a lot of time on the bus.
