That is what I thought when Marti posted at first and then again with Kate. Maybe I am too wishful and positive of a thinker to automatically feel this way, instead of thinking it is real.

Well, my problem is that I thought we weren't going to air any dirty laundry, get this thread involved in negativity, etc . I thought we had made decisions about that already....

We have all sorts of new people joining this thread because it's become "the place to go" for friendship, pixie dust, etc... we've spread the word that it's a great place to hang out. I have no idea what's happened now.... I'm sad for the people who make their way over here right about now.

I actually had something exciting I logged on to share, but I don't know where to go around here anymore!

I think I'll wait somewhere until the dust settles

Thanks all for the kind words. Well I have taken the plunge and started planning, don't know when or how it will be paid for, but you got to start somewhere. What's New Year's Eve like at Disney?

We celebrated our Honeymoon at Disney and maybe we could get New Year's eve and our Tenth Anniversary togethor.

I have seensome threads on the planning board from people there this year, and it seemed like it was not good.

I got my grades for my 2 little classes as well:

Utilization of Children's Literature in the Classroom - A-
Library Computer and Reference Skills - A-

I was pretty pleased considering I've been out of college since 1991. Monday is when classes start for my next 2 classes. Just 4 more after these and I'll have my Media Specialist certification! Yea!

Thanks again for all your well wishes everyone! I'm 13 weeks along...due date is July 14th. We'll definitely try to find out what we're having when we get the ultrasound in March. Of course, we'll keep you all posted.

Oh, and Tammi, Kevin never puts tickers in our signature. Not for babies or birthdays or Disney trips. He just likes pictures.

Well, I just walked in from work to find the DDA in huge disarray. I do not know any details, but obviously a DDAer(s) has done something completely thoughtless and mean spirited enough to drive Kate away. Why anybody would think it's appropriate to send a bomb to anybody's PM box is completely beyond me. That could never be construed as funny. Ever. What were you thinking??????


If it weren't for Kate, this whole DDA would not exist. The fact that somebody would send her something that mean spirited has me appalled and outraged. I don't know what happened to all the nice things that used to be here, but I feel this thread is now dying a very painful death.

To say that I am very upset and angry with the person(s) involved (whoever you may be) is a gross understatement. I believe we are all adults here and know how to handle ourselves in a congenial and respectable manner. Obviously not.


Well, if this is the state of affairs here, then I am sorry to say that I will no longer be posting. I will not idly stand by while my friends are attacked. I hope the offending party (ies) realize what they have done and make the proper amends to Kate.

Kate is my friend. Marti and Skunka are my friends. Some people here have offended them, and you've offended me. I do have many DDAers whom I really love and count as friends. But now, I know there are some here with whom I would never use that word, in fact just the opposite. I hope the culprits are proud of themselves.

I have no idea what is going on? What is a "bomb" some sort of nasty PM or something? And why would anyone send one to Kate? First of all she IS the queen and most importantly and I'm sure this is true for others if it weren't for her talent and generosity My DS's first birthday trip wouldn't have been nearly as magical. People noticed the shirt more than the little sticker we got at City Hall. And the looks on my kids faces with their names for Christmas "priceless" (Sometimes we have a hard time finding personalized stuff for all the boys so having their own personalized shirts made their day. Not to mention with our size of family the money we saved not having to order matching shirts off Disneydirect. Which translated to dinner at Goofy's Kitchen which the kids loved. ) I am sorry if any posts I made about my DH or family seemed so negative that they upset others. (Going through a difficult time in our marriage as we're having 1 of our sons tested for autism, asperger's and ADHD trying to find out what's wrong and how best I can help him and I have seasonal depression on top of that) I never meant to offend anyone. I really don't care if I get gifts from DH, good or bad, as I consider being able to stay home with my 4 DS's the best gift. Throw in a few vacations and I'm good to go. Here's hoping this can get worked out. If not, I want to thank Kate and Denise for all their great designs (Denise I am saving some of your Christmas designs for our trip to WDW in 2007 for our tenth anniversary so I'll thank you ahead of time for when I use them, just need to figure out how to change dates and names. ) It was fun and helped to brighten my days. If I had upset anyone feel free to PM me and I would gladly apologize maybe if everyone did this then we could clear the air and get back to normal.

I agree with Denise totally..this forum was a place for fun chat & design & has seemingly gone down hill...very unfortunate..it was fun.

Wow, came back in rather crazy times I guess. I hope all turns out well. I will miss the designers here, as they helped make my Daughter's 3rd Birthday Special as well.

HEY Becky did you see this? Did I miss your reply? I thought it was cute, and I am sure they have colors, or maybe you can customize one for Disney.

I would be willing to go on TOT with anyone and hold their had, as long as it is not with the guy I rode on with once. But this time I will be sure to wear a t-shirt and long pants.

At this time all the seats had the lap bars and their was the one suicide seat all the way in the middle of the back row. I noticed while we were waiting in line their was this guy who looked very panicky, not looking too thrilled to be riding turns out he is only riding because his daughter about 8 years old wants to ride and he doesn't want her to ride alone.

When we get our seats facing the back of the car, we are in the last row. His daughter is to the left of the suicide seat, he is assigned the suicide seat, I have the seat to his right and Kelly has the seat to the right of me. I can tell he doesn't want to sit in that seat and he is afraid of putting his daughter in this seat.

I agree to trade with him. So now his daughter is still to the left of the suicide seat, she didn't want to move, I am in the suicide seat, scared guy is to the right and Kelly is in the seat next to the right of him. When they close the doors and say have a good drop, he starts to grab mine and Kelly's legs. We know we are in for an interesting trip.

I guess he has no idea what is going to happen, as we move into the chamber, he starts to grab our arms. When it goes completly dark he starts to scream.

Next thing I now he is full on grabbing onto me and has his head buried into my chest, he is still screaming. Now mind you, I have no small chest and am very a pretty low tank top and shorts. So he got a nice view I am sure. But I don't think he had a clue what he was doing. At one point he dropped his head lower so it was in my lap. But raised it again so it was back in my chest and clutched onto me. I had finger nail marks in my arm, for quite a while after this ride.

He remained this way until right about when the doors reopened, by now his daughter is telling him across me that she wants to ride again. It is now her favorite ride, etc. He says their is absolutely no way I will ride again.

He keeps apologizing to us over and over again after he was safely back on the ground. I don't think his daughter realizes every thing that happened since I was between the two of them. We wanted to buy the picture because I am sure it looked hilarious with him buried in my chest, but they wouldn't even show it on the screen.

In the end we told him that we would take his daughter on again to save him the trauma. She rode again and had an absolute blast. He kept apologizing and thanking us once we all got off the ride. But I am sure he truly didn't want us to see him ever again.

Hoping...praying...wishing for 17 years for a child, and finally getting the most perfect, loving, caring, wonderful little baby girl that anyone could ever hope for, was the best thing that ever happened to us.

Planning this trip to Disney World has been so much fun! All of this effort on my part is to instill magical memories that will last a lifetime.

I came across this thread by accident one day after reading a trip report and noticing the personalized tshirts that were worn on their vacation. I came to this thread to ask for help and get ideas, and I really appreciate all the help that I have received.

If I am the one to blame for this mess.. I am truly sorry..

Amy... so sorry for the pm that I sent you... it was an impulse thing that I did and did not realize how much of a devastating effect this would have on you and this whole thread.

Kate... thank you SO much for designing the tshirts for my family. I am truly grateful and I will be sure to let everyone know where I got them.

Many magical memories are waiting for my family.

You didn't do anything wrong!

Life is about being kind to the peoplein your life, of all types, helping eachother and showing care and concern. We do not always get it right as to when to speak and when not to. It is a challenge when we are hurt, I know.
I hope this mess has brought us these facts again.

People have so many things going on in their real lives, so much heartache day after day, some more than others. This is the internet! We need to remember that. The people on here can be kind and funny and caring... as far as the screen goes, but it is your family and friends that MATTER most.

Why should any of us add stress to our lives with this silliness?

to you and anyone else that get's it what in life is most important!
