Ahh, sugarcraft. Only pink building in town, that I can think of! :rotfl:

LOL :rotfl:

And to make it worse, I always call it the "Sugar Shack," which makes it sound like one of Larry Flynt's operations.

Amy :)

Are there guidelines that you are supposed to follow when you post a trip report?? I don't want to post one to find out it wasn't done a certain way

Amy, There is a Sugar Shack here in Myrtle Beach. It is one of our favorite late night Haunts in North Myrtle Beach!!!

Cool. Thanks! I just read that they agree with me that royal icing sucks the moisture out of a cookie -- that's why I don't decorate cookies. I will definitely have to look into this!

I really need to look into Hanukkah cookie cutters! My Mom had some when we were little and we haven't been able to find them in YEARS!

Try this out:

It sounds like you had a great DL trip, excluding the jet lag! :teeth: I'm so envious you got to see Holiday Small World! I love the unique rides to DL like Casey Jr., Storybook Canal Boats, etc. Please post some pictures when you get a chance!

Amy :)

Absolutely! I'll try to get them up this weekend. Terra has been asking for "Christmas Small World" for several months since she saw it on a calendar. I am so glad we got to do it a couple of times. I love all of the unique rides too. They are so cute. That was my main focus in guiding Terra since we had just been to WDW. I'll have to say though that the smaller castle still takes me by surprise every time I walk in.

I think that I saw some in a store here in Salem just before Christmas. If you haven't found anythin on line yet, I can look this weekend and send them with your pin that I still haven't mailed.

I am going on a very unexpected trip to Disney in 17 days :cool1: I have a very good mil story to tell :goodvibes My mil, her dh, bil & family have been planning a trip to Disney in Jan. I received a call today asking if I would like to go because mil's dh has decided not to go. Everything is paid for except my food! I am so excited :cheer2: Dh & the boys will stay home, so I will have a chance to view Disney in a different way. I will miss my boys not being with me, but I will get over it :) Dh is not a big Disney fan(I am working on him)but he knows I love Disney & he is very happy for me. I will also get to the chance to stay at different resorts, 3 nights at the Contemporary, 3 nights at the Boardwalk Villas, & 1 night at AKL. I am about ready to burst! I have only stayed at value resorts, so this is really a treat. Well the whole trip is, I think I am still in shock. I just had to share this with you all, oh I need to get planning! Look out Disney here I come.............

OK, I just uploaded PhotoImpact- Yikes!!! I am pretty computer literate but this program is not as user friendly as I had hoped. Anyone know a good spot for a tutorial?

I can't stay on today - it is my and Skunka's anniversary. We are taking Matt to see Narnia and then our friends will watch him while we head out to dinner. See you all later tonight or tomorrow!!

Denise - good luck with the MIL. I'm fortunate not to have to deal with things like that. :wizard:

Marti my DH shares his b-day with your anniversary! We went out to the movies and dinner last night. DN gave us a restaurant gift certificate and a free night of babysitting for Christmas!

Just got this and thought I would share. :rotfl:
Excellent Christmas Cookie Receipe

Christmas Cookie Ingredients:

1 cup of water
lemon juice
1 tsp baking soda
4 large eggs
1 cup of sugar
1 cup nuts
1 tsp salt
2 cups of dried fruit
1 cup of brown sugar
1 bottle Jack Daniel's Whiskey

Sample the Jack Daniel's to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Jack Daniel's again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.

Turn on the electric mixer....Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar...Beat again. At this point it's best to make sure the Jack Daniel's is still OK, try another cup .just in case.

Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Pick the frigging fruit off floor... Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the Jack Daniel's to check for tonsisticity.

Next, sift two cups of salt, or something. Who giveshz a sheet. Check the Jack Daniel's. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven.

Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. ; Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the Dack Janiels and make sure to put the stove in the dishwasher.

I'm looking for some appetizer recipes, too. I'm having some company over for New Year's Eve and we're all on low carb diets. Anyone have some yummy low carb options?

Have you ever made the chili dip? You spread the bottom of a glass pyrex with cream cheese and then sprinkle with scallions. Top with a can of beanless chili and top with grated cheddar cheese. You then bake until bubbly and melted.

It stays warm for quite a while and then tastes good even when cooled off.

I ate it last year with celery. Normally served with taco chips.

Good and low carb!

Wow, no diaper rash! That's awesome. We used to use vaseline, but once Alyssa started eating solids, it didn't seem to protect her enough, so we switched to Balmex. Now, I really have to watch her acidic food intake (ketchup!), but I know this time it's related to her runny nose.

I love the shower curtain idea Babytrees!

Amy :)

Our Dr. suggested Paladin for the diaper rash. Both of our kids would get them terribly from the antibiotics. You can's find it everywhere, but I know Target has it. It isn't in the baby care aisle, but instead on the shelves in front of the pharmacy.

It worked wonders for us.

Those both sound like heaven! I made a gingerbread trifle for Christmas day, and it was so hard to watch my family eating it, and not be able to have a bite. I'm really craving something sweet right about now. DH usually stuffs my stocking with orange sticks and other chocolates, so it's been really difficult.

Glynis did you ever make the low carb cheesecake? It is wonderful for a sweet tooth.
