DH just called with AWESOME news!! He got a bonus today!!! :Pinkbounc I only wish half of it didn't have to go to Uncle Sam!!

I saw Julia's Belle Christmas dress last night for the first time (I had it shipped to my mom's) - I can not believe how gorgeous it is!! She is going to FLIP OUT!!

Bad thing - I realized Julia was with me when I bought Nick's big Santa gift - a mickey tv & dvd player - so I just told her that I bought too much stuff and I had to take it back to the store - when my mom comes over I am going to ask her if she had any trouble returning it - I tried to reshuffle gifts but I just couldnt  I hope she doesn't catch on!!

Here are the pictures from my tiedying adventure. I am so tickled that they turned out, not as good as the craft queen Deb's though. I am just happy that they don't look like a royal mess. I only left the dye on for 4 hours, because I didn't have anymore time to wait, before rinsing. These pictures were before washing. After I washed them the became a little "softer" in color.

Kate and Kelli - Thank you!

Christmas bonuses are in the air!
I just ordered the Princess table and chairs from Disneyshopping. With the 30% discount and free shipping it was $70. Does anyone out there have this? Is it sturdy? Maybe I should have asked this first....:scratchin

Thanks for not talking up a storm last night. I was able to catch up.

Hooray for the Linz family! I wasn't able to watch the finale as I was in the ER trying desperately to pass a kidney stone. I've had 5 now, and this one was the worst. Mostly because I couldn't take any of my big meds at home when I first felt it coming on. With the Gastric Bypass I can't take certain types of pain meds. By the time DH came home from work I was in bed trying not to scream and scare the kids. Luckily, when we got to the hospital, they pumped me full of morphine so I either didn't feel the pain, or I just didn't care. It's all a bit fuzzy to me.

Jen, I sympathize with the migraine thing. I get them every month in conjunction with my period and the birth control pills I'm on. I got some wonderful cream from England called Serenity for Women. It works wonders for me. Since I started using it, I've gone from 5-6 migraines in a 2 week period, to just a simple regular headache in the week before my period.

Deb - thanks for the fudge recipe. (I think it was yours) I made the peanut butter yesterday, and DH says you are evil and must be destroyed for giving me the recipe. He ate half of it by himself last night. Looks like I'll be making more for the neighbors. I'm going to try the butterscotch today.

For whoever wanted easy cookie recipes (sorry I can't remember who, now). The cake mix recipe is the EASIEST recipe ever. There is a whole thread on the CB about it with lots of variations. I love to use the yellow cake mix, and then roll them into colored sugar before baking. They turn out so pretty. I also use a chocolate cake mix with mini M&M's. My kids love helping with this. Since there's hardly any measuring, it's perfect for small children to help with. I've been making them for years, and my kids prefer them to chocolate chip cookies. give them a try!

Oh, and Brendita, congratulations on your bonus and raise!

And, Tammi, glad your t-shirts were a success! :cool1:

Sorry, if I left anyone out...I really need to get back to "work." A whole string of lights went out on tree #2! Ack!!!! At least we don't have the ornaments on yet, and it's the strand closest to the top. What's the name of that song....I think it's the 12 pains of Christmas?!! :rotfl:

Amy :)

i heard that song on the way to work today!! i was laughing!

Those look awesome. I think you did a great job.

I finally got my computer operating properly although I still have a lot of software and some hardware to reinstall. Here is the design that my nephew wanted. I did it on a 4x6" transfer.

Haven't had time to iron it on yet, just happy to make the computer work.

That's cute Deb. I'm glad it is working again.

BTW, how did you get your names on your tie-dyed shirts without any white showing up? Did you cut out each letter individually and then irone them on?

I tell Christopher to smile (and I've tried bribing him) and he opens his eyes wide and sticks out his tongue.
His teacher actually emailed me an adorable picture of him with his gingerbread house but the background is the classroom and not very festive for a Christmas card. He has a mischievous smile on his face, though, and frosting in his hair. It was totally a "Christopher" moment.

But this is the DDA board and backgrounds mean nothing - I'm sure we could transport him to somewhere more festive!

I was just joking and not serious. Sorry if you thought I was serious about it.

Actually I have heard of Bordeaux's Butt Paste, although I can't remember if it was while I lived in Florida or PA. Whatever the case I remember thinking the name was quite clever.

Becky

:rotfl2: It's really called Butt Paste?? I thought that might be a nick name for it :rotfl2: Oh and you say that my english sayings are quaint - that's hysterical :rotfl:

Do we really need to explain how this happened? It depends on what mood Baloo is in, she might it explain it for us.

YAY!!
18,000
Posts!!

Since I had my own little posting party catching up from last night, boy was I surprised to see we were close to another milestone. Since no one wanted to play along, I took it!

See you all when you wake up.

Ah gee I missed another one!

Who'd have thought we'd get through 18,000 posts hey? :cheer2: :cheer2:

Ok I have a question for all of you...I am looking for a coffee table. I know what I want, I have seen it but I don't remember where.

I need a dark wood (preferably cherry, mahoghany, or just dark vaneer) rectangle table with the 6 slots underneath to put the linen lined baskets in.

Anyone have any idea where I can find something like this?
Thanks

I have an excellent, and fairly easy, recipe, if you can wait until this evening - it's at home, and I'm at work. It is more like a cake than a bread/cookie, if that makes sense. It is the one thing I get requests for year after year. Been making it since I was 14.

Oh yeah - I'd love to see that one too :cheer2:

ETA - caught up and found it - all coped ready to print and start baking :goodvibes :goodvibes
