PS no snow here yet. We don't even have a dusting on the ground from previous snowfall. They are saying 3 - 6 inches, but I'll believe that when I see it.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I guess you believe it now!

I did add a tree (not the same one in the picture though) to Nick's shirt at 2 AM. The other 3 shirts stand out pretty well on their own. The 5 shirts don't completely match now, but my sons think that they're cool.

Hey there DDAs!

Angela -- congratulations! keep us posted :grouphug:

Denise -- hope you and Rees feel better quickly!!

Ok, I'm going to do something I HATE to do, but I'm desperate :goodvibes
Can someone either answer on here or PM me with answers to a few questions that I KNOW we've answered. I even saved post #s, etc on the desktop, but that doesn't help me here. Now I'm starting to freak out, because we come home Saturday, I have this "Disney Dinner" planned where my sister finds out we're flying (her first time), etc. Well, I have it SCHEDULED. I hardly have anything planned. Then I cram on Sunday for finals, and take them Monday. So Monday at about 4, I can start the whole t-shirt process (all the way from deciding designs to buying shirts to printing and ironing :earseek: ). Plus I need to pack, update my itinerary, wrap Christmas gifts, figure out what to do with my dog (dog-sitter fell through)....

SO :)

What paper is ok if I run out of ebay stuff? I am convinced that it's the best, but what else will do?

My pizza stone is in storage. There goes my brilliant idea there....
What else can I iron on? We have no formica, no flat top stove... I suppose I have plenty of textbooks...?

Thanks so much. I promise I'll try not to ask the same questions we've covered over and over again once I'm more sane! :rotfl:

Have a good day!

I am trying to catch up, only on page 992, but wanted to share my news with my bestes friends here on this thread. After 7 years and 1 miscarriage, I got a positive on my pregnancy test this morning. If you have any advice to share, I could use it. This is my second pregnancy and if it works out my first child. Whew, I will be 37 when he/she will be born.

Congratulations!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

For everyone keeping up with my husband's job search -- today is the final round of interviews for the job he has been hoping for. He has four separate meetings with people from that company today. I would be so grateful for more pixie dust his way. (Also that he doesn't get in trouble from his current job for taking time off the day after we had an ice day!) This would be the best Christmas gift for me if he could get a job he enjoys!

We have a snow day here, but I can't figure out why. It looks like the worst of it is over, and we only have about 4". The roads weren't in great shape this morning, but an hour or two delay should have been fine.

The kids are :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: .

Same thing here in Cincinnati. I worked for a high school for 9 years, and while we had a few delays here and there, the general consensus was it was just easier to have a snow day (regarding transportation, etc.). Since the teachers get to stay home too, I was always happy with this decision. :teeth:

Have a good day!

I used only the Avery dark and light paper from Walmart for the shirts I made for my last trip and they have all held up well through at least 5 washings (they are short sleeved and it is 15 degrees here so they are put away for the winter).

Can you find a small scrap of plywood? Any type of wood will work. I have a formica craft table that I use, but I'm sure any scap of wood would work. Just make sure that it is something that you wouldn't mind getting discolored from the heat. I would guess that a concrete floor would work too. You could always stop by your local building supply store and they would probably give you a scrap of wood.

I spoke with my Dad a few minutes ago and he thinks that he feels a little better today. He definately seemed more upbeat on the phone. The aches and soreness is starting to decrease and he thinks the vertigo might be a little better. I can't tell you what a relief it is to see him making improvements. I have always seen my Dad as a realy strong man and to see him so frail was killing me.

I keep forgetting to post this, but since I am on line and remebered at the same time :cool1: ...
My local Kmart had mens t-shirt on clearance. They are marked $3.50. They were in the very back of the Mens section on a rack that I actually had to search out as it wasn't easily seen. Anyway I need shirts for BF so I picked up a couple thinking I would pay the $3.50. When they rang up they were $.70 each. That's right 70 cents each. I went back on Tuesday night and they still had a lot as they are marked $3.50. I bought every color they had in the sizes that we wear. Now if I need to make a special shirt I can just pull one out. I have no idea if other Kmarts have the same deal, but it might be worth checking.

Deb

Some were V-neck, some pocket Ts (the pockets can be easily removed)

Thank you to everyone who responded to my questions regarding Alyssa's poor intake of iron/protein. Thanks for the tofu link too, Becky.

With Alyssa, it's just hit or miss. One day she'll inhale spaghetti and meatballs...the next time, she snubs it. She consistently rejects scrambled eggs. She loves cheese, but I try not to give her too much, otherwise we have constipation issues.

I figure with a toddler, it's just a need for patience. :goodvibes

I might go ahead and try a little smooth peanut butter though. We don't have allergies in our family, and I ate it while pregnant and nursing. She's 20 months old now.

Thanks again!
Amy :)

Oh Lynn...you need to catch up again! :goodvibes

Amy = 337 (well, it says 372, but I have to subtract 35 posts since Alyssa and Kevin chime in once in a while)

Lynn = 328

But, I'm done with my posting frenzy this morning. Time to move on to the next Christmas task! :teeth:

Very cool! I love all of them, very creative.

I always say I met my DH on a blind date... it was actually a fancy dress party and he was dressed as an undead-morris dancer! So his face was painted white with big black shadows around his eyes. We hit it off but until he turned up on my doorstep a week later to take me out on our first official date I actually had no idea what he looked like! :rotfl:

Oh and for those of you who don't know what a morris dancer is - it's an old fashioned thing - groups of men dressed up with bells on there clothes and sticks and they danced at festivals (very odd!)

Am I correct that a 'fancy dress party' is what we would call a costume party? Because it conjures up images of men in dresses :rotfl: :rotfl: .... but I think I remember the term from a trip to UK a couple of years ago.

Amy, I think you have just become the official record keeper! Care to do this for me? I'll be gone Dec 10 - 18

crzy4pooh -- 4 down, 22 to go! I taught elementary school music for 9 years and then spent 10 yrs. at home as a SAHM while we moved all over the East Coast. I loved that too. When it was time to go back to work I literally lucked into the job I have now. I answered a blind ad for a music teacher at a private school 15 years ago and it seems as if I just started teaching there 4-5 years ago. Everyone should be so lucky! But you are right... the holiday schedule is horrific at times.

Wow - your job sounds great!!! I would consider going back later if I could get in a private school, but I think I am through with public schools. ;) My sister teaches elem. music. I just saw her last night and she told me about her week.... (I'm sure every music teacher could totally relate...) She had her chorus singing in Target on Tuesday night. One of her first graders passed out - fell face down off the riser onto the tile floor - thank goodness she is okay but her face is a little messy just in time for Christmas. Then, the very next day, she took her orchestra to play at Downtown Disney. The kids were going on and off the bus getting their instruments/music/uniforms/etc. Two of her 4th graders were messing around... one of them ended up cracking his head open. EMT's came, lots of paperwork, hospital, angry parent (even though the kid admitted to horsing around), and he ended up with 4 staples in his head. :scared1: And the semester still isn't over! I just had to smile and shake my head! ;)

Ok, Rees lost his 2nd tooth tonight (on Tacos!) and promptly swallowed it. I don't know if the tooth fairy will ever get a tooth!

He still feels like crud, now I'm coughing non-stop and running a fever. My chest really hurts again. I finished unpacking and doing 7 loads of laundry and ironing all of it tonight. It's 34 degrees and raining... please pray it sleets/snows/ices tonight so school is closed and I don't have to get up to take Davis and Brantley-Kate!

Night.

:grouphug: Hope you are both feeling better today!!!

Hey Denise -- after 7 loads of laundry -- how did your shirts wash?? After I washed mine, some were cracked. I tried re-ironing them, but it didn't seem to make much difference. Did anybody else seem to have this trouble after washing them?

Oh yeah - it was the Ebay paper that I used.

That's the only load I haven't done. Going to do them now. Any tips on washing? Fabric softner or not? Dry in the dryer or hang up?

Thanks!

Congratulations! I had 2 m/c before getting pg with the triplets. Just take it easy and keep positive. At this point, there's not much you can do but wait. I know how hard that is. We're here for you!
