Hey Denise -- after 7 loads of laundry -- how did your shirts wash?? After I washed mine, some were cracked. I tried re-ironing them, but it didn't seem to make much difference. Did anybody else seem to have this trouble after washing them?

Oh yeah - it was the Ebay paper that I used.

All of my light shirt transfers cracked except one - I had done one for DS that I ironed too long. The shirt turned a little yellow, but the transfer still looks good! ;) I used Avery, though. My dark shirts still look great after a few washings.

For everyone keeping up with my husband's job search -- today is the final round of interviews for the job he has been hoping for. He has four separate meetings with people from that company today. I would be so grateful for more pixie dust his way. (Also that he doesn't get in trouble from his current job for taking time off the day after we had an ice day!) This would be the best Christmas gift for me if he could get a job he enjoys!

Good luck to him (and you!)

I got 5 hours sleep as dh let me sleep in, school is canceled today. That means I have 5 kids home today on 5 hours sleep. I think we may need a group nap :rotfl: We have a couple of inches on the ground and they say we could get up to 10 inches as the system shifted North putting us in the higher accumulations. I am excited. We need snow. I may be able to ride my snowmobile tomorrow. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc The trails don't open for another couple of weeks, but we can do laps around our house and my brothers too.

Deb

How's your Dad today?

Can anyone help me???? I think MinnieMouseMom is in Disney right now!

My DH JUST saw this design and would LOVE it for the front of his sweatshirt!

minniemousemom

Can ANY designer help?

What needs to be changed? First off, his name is Todd. If the ring can be "airbrushed" off his helmet, that would be nice.

The plan is to use it on the front (one side) of a zip up hoodie.

Can anyone help?????

I always say I met my DH on a blind date... it was actually a fancy dress party and he was dressed as an undead-morris dancer! So his face was painted white with big black shadows around his eyes. We hit it off but until he turned up on my doorstep a week later to take me out on our first official date I actually had no idea what he looked like! :rotfl:

Oh and for those of you who don't know what a morris dancer is - it's an old fashioned thing - groups of men dressed up with bells on there clothes and sticks and they danced at festivals (very odd!)

That is too cute!!! :goodvibes Your wedding pictures are gorgeous! I'm so glad your blind date turned out so well!!!! :teeth:

I am trying to catch up, only on page 992, but wanted to share my news with my bestes friends here on this thread. After 7 years and 1 miscarriage, I got a positive on my pregnancy test this morning. If you have any advice to share, I could use it. This is my second pregnancy and if it works out my first child. Whew, I will be 37 when he/she will be born.

:grouphug: Congratulations!!!!!! Lots of prayers and PD for a healthy, happy pregnancy!!!! :wizard:

I spoke with my Dad a few minutes ago and he thinks that he feels a little better today. He definately seemed more upbeat on the phone. The aches and soreness is starting to decrease and he thinks the vertigo might be a little better. I can't tell you what a relief it is to see him making improvements. I have always seen my Dad as a realy strong man and to see him so frail was killing me.

Deb

Yea!!!!! :grouphug: So glad he is doing better!!!! P and PD for continued improvement!!! :wizard:

well we ended up with 6 inches where we live.

well has replenished so we have water :Pinkbounc

plow went thru and of course piled up more in the driveway :rotfl:
DH will probably make DS shovel the driveway and clean off the cars

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!! Stay warm and safe with all that snow!!!! After hearing all your traffic horror stories and no water stories, I am no longer wishing for snow!!!! ;)

We have family pics for the church directory in a bit, then we were supposed to go to Disney to see some lights, but DS and I are both coughing. We'll see how pics go (DS rarely cooperates for the camera) - that may decide what we do for the rest of the day! :rotfl:

Rees seems much better today. Tooth Fairy brought him $2 for his tooth. Davis and Brantley-Kate are at school. I'm definitely getting sick and Aunt Flo paid a visit. I want to go back to Disney!

Hey there DDAs!

What paper is ok if I run out of ebay stuff? I am convinced that it's the best, but what else will do?
Have a good day!
I used avery for light shirts before I got the ebay stuff. It worked really good. Haven't washed the shirts yet since they've been made so I can't tell you how they hold up. But the transfer came out great.

I keep forgetting to post this, but since I am on line and remebered at the same time :cool1: ...
My local Kmart had mens t-shirt on clearance. They are marked $3.50. They were in the very back of the Mens section on a rack that I actually had to search out as it wasn't easily seen. Anyway I need shirts for BF so I picked up a couple thinking I would pay the $3.50. When they rang up they were $.70 each. That's right 70 cents each. I went back on Tuesday night and they still had a lot as they are marked $3.50. I bought every color they had in the sizes that we wear. Now if I need to make a special shirt I can just pull one out. I have no idea if other Kmarts have the same deal, but it might be worth checking.

Deb

Some were V-neck, some pocket Ts (the pockets can be easily removed)
Deb, what colors did they have?

BTW, you Christmas tree shirts are cute! You sure got the crafty gene. I'm glad your dad is doing better, too.

So glad he is much better. Was it just a virus? I hope you are on the mend soon. My Aunt Flo will be visiting me the 3rd day into our trip. YUCK!

That's the only load I haven't done. Going to do them now. Any tips on washing? Fabric softner or not? Dry in the dryer or hang up?

Thanks!

I wouldn't use fabric softener, they said not to when you first washed them, so I wouldn't again. And with this weather, I'd throw them into the dryer or they will never dry. Oh never mind, you don't have snow!!!

No, but it's cold! 37 now and going down during the day. Brrr for my Southern bones!

I think Nick gave it to him! ;) Yes, I presume it was just a little virus. I've definitely got a cold and BK was coughing on the way to school. At least we're home before getting sick. Disney was fabulous!

hey - if Alyssa didn't get it and she was actually here on game night when Julia broke into her 105 fever - I am doubting that he sent it to Rees!!! :rotfl:

Now if Amy comes on and tells me Alyssa actually did get it - she just didn't tell me so I wouldn't feel absolutely HORRIBLE about it - then we will also accept responsibility for Rees!!!
