I am trying to catch up, only on page 992, but wanted to share my news with my bestes friends here on this thread. After 7 years and 1 miscarriage, I got a positive on my pregnancy test this morning. If you have any advice to share, I could use it. This is my second pregnancy and if it works out my first child. Whew, I will be 37 when he/she will be born.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! :wizard:

For everyone keeping up with my husband's job search -- today is the final round of interviews for the job he has been hoping for. He has four separate meetings with people from that company today. I would be so grateful for more pixie dust his way. (Also that he doesn't get in trouble from his current job for taking time off the day after we had an ice day!) This would be the best Christmas gift for me if he could get a job he enjoys!

anyone have a snow day?!

Rowan U. actually closed!! im excited, but i cant fall back asleep...of course, the pre school i work at didnt close, but its supposed to get worse as the day goes on, so maybe they will close early!! i can wish, cant i :)

We have a snow day here, but I can't figure out why. It looks like the worst of it is over, and we only have about 4". The roads weren't in great shape this morning, but an hour or two delay should have been fine.

The kids are :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: .

Roads here in PA are horrible, broken down vehicles everywhere. All the schools are closed. We had about 8 inches of snow, roads are unplowed but I am headed out to go work at a shop. Who in there right mind is going to go shopping in this weather, maybe this afternoon but not now. Wish me luck, this isn't going to be fun.

Morning all
Apparently the city of Lancaster got hit and the streets are slow getting cleared. So
WORK IS CLOSED :earseek:
At this point, still no water till DH checks the pump and then turns it back on. :teeth:

Our thoughts and prayers will be with you, just go slow and do what the Dr says :wizard: :grouphug:

i think the schools are closed here because the roads are HORRIBLE!!!!! my brother is gonna call me when he gets to work since its pretty bad out there-mom called and said there are cars in accidents everywhere

so, here I am awake and melting the ice from the freezer so I can have some coffee. How pathetic is that? :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Deb - if you get what we got - that is exactly what happened - nothing and then 2 inches in an hour!!!!

Took Dh 2.5 hours to get home in rush hour traffic - he was lucky

I heard some people went about a block in a one hour period!

Night all!!

I got 5 hours sleep as dh let me sleep in, school is canceled today. That means I have 5 kids home today on 5 hours sleep. I think we may need a group nap :rotfl: We have a couple of inches on the ground and they say we could get up to 10 inches as the system shifted North putting us in the higher accumulations. I am excited. We need snow. I may be able to ride my snowmobile tomorrow. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc The trails don't open for another couple of weeks, but we can do laps around our house and my brothers too.

That is awesome. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:
I hope that this is a smooth pregnancy with no sickness. Suffering a miscarriage is such a tramatic event that it will make this pregnancy even more special. I had 2 children, then a miscarriage, then a healthy 3rd son. I know how very special that 3rd pregnancy was. Best wishes for you and your husband and the little one on the way.

Can anyone give me a rundown on what has been happening here in the last week or so? I know about Amy :goodvibes (and Kevin)

This is a list compiled to help Denise catch up and I'll add a few things :teeth:

We are trying to plan a DDA meet this summer = almost definitely in DC (july 14-16)- maybe in Atlanta too!

Kate has some wacky idea for a live delivery room thread (not gonna happen! :teeth: )

Deb's dad was in a bad accident but thank God walked away from it

Rosiejo is home

Brenda is moving to atlanta

We got a new board - Baloo is our moderator

We started a birthday sticky

Lots of recipes shared

Lots of christmas and snow pictures shared

Pixie dust for everyone's upcoming trips...lots of people are in single digits!!

Marti and Kate are talking a lot of people into joining DVC

Jennifer had computer problems right before finals, Kate tried to help (that took up a lot of pages. We were all so concerned), she finally took it to the Apple guys and they were able to fix the problem and save all the data. She left again for another residency trip

Some people want snow, others of us have had ENOUGH of it

Kate went on an oreo eating binge and wishes she could get us all Diet Coke ornaments for her tree

Brenda's dishwasher caught fire, but all is okay

Baloo is looking for Ebay/Paypal advice

Steffy is determined to get caught up on this thread

Julia's teachers think Kate is pregnant because Julia drew a picture at school

Denise is home...had a fantastic trip, but unfortunately, Rees is sick and Denise isn't feeling well either

I know Kate and Amy took the kids and they liked it. Everyone else that has been has said they liked it.

This Amy didn't go to Princesses on Ice. :guilty: We decided Alyssa was too young to appreciate it yet. Besides Kate and Jennifer, I know a few other people who went and all returned with positive reviews. :flower:

What Amy wants is pretty irrelevant to me!! :rotfl: Remember when I got my Mrs. Potts costume - she swore to all of you that she would get a picture for you - I of course accepted the inevitable and just posted it on my own!!

What was I going to do...come over and force the costume on you?!! :rotfl:

You are an attention-monger and that's why you posted that picture...it had nothing to do with my threats! :rotfl:

Regarding posting belly pictures...I don't even know how to post pictures, so I guess Kate will have to take charge for this to happen, because I don't think Kevin will participate in this activity. :teeth:

Amy :)

I spoke with my Dad a few minutes ago and he thinks that he feels a little better today. He definately seemed more upbeat on the phone. The aches and soreness is starting to decrease and he thinks the vertigo might be a little better. I can't tell you what a relief it is to see him making improvements. I have always seen my Dad as a realy strong man and to see him so frail was killing me.

Now do I add it to Nick's?

Deb

Very cool. Yes, I think you should add it to Nick's...it makes the tye-dye "pop out!"
