My DH was in a big accident when he was in Iraq .... he didn't remember the entire day of the accident. Since then, he has remembered up til 10 minutes before the accident butnothing until after the point when he woke up in Germany.

Lisa -so glad he is okay!! That must have been very scary!!

OMG... you'd be a dead queen! :rotfl2:

Knowing Kevin (the attention monger), he'll love this idea. :rotfl:

Okay, it's past our bedtime. Poor Kevin didn't get to play on the computer all night.

Amy :)

How scary for him (and you too). At least we have family to lean on. He was in Germany with no family to lean on. Glad he is home and safe now.

That's what they are calling it. I HATE IT!! I'd rather have fingernails down a chalk board. It makes me think somebody is playing a joke... in our family, everytime a joke was played, somebody would say "gotcha!" I have hated it relating to adoption ever since. It just doesn't sound right to me.

Yikes! Sorry - didn't mean to offend .....

Brendita. Sorry about your dishwasher. Since dh claims responsibility maybe he could just wash all the dishes from now on. :rotfl: :rotfl:

An old friend of mine had her dryer catch fire once. They caught it in time, but appliance accidents do happen.

You didn't offend me - I just have a really strong opinion on that one. Then again, nobody I've talked to has the same opinion. So yes, its just me (as usual!)

Yeah - scary is getting THE call from the Army and them telling you just about nothing other than the details of the accident! No info on his condition ... no way contact him ... NOTHING!

Within 30 minutes of them contacting me ... I had calls from the media! TV news ... print news .... I was so overwhelmed and just wanted to put my little boy to bed and go CRY!

Not to take away from Deb's tragedy but ....... I'm going on .....

Anyway .... for like 2 days I got NOTHING! I got a local frm the family group here on the Air base to see how they could help. Long story short ... they had an airman in Iraq who was able to get to DH. I talked to him! FINALLY He was SO sedated! Doesn't remember a THING! He told me to call into work and tell them he would be late! LOL

He was being airlifted to Germany ... but I couldn't hear where so I waited to be called. And no call came!!!

I went on the web and searched military bases in Germany ... then medical centers. Three phone calls later .. I had his floor nurse!!!!

Know what???? They had no idea what had happened to him. He didn't know anything -- and wanted to know what had happened!

i DIDN' TKNOW WHETHER oops hearing about the accident would be too much of a shock! (one guy died - another injured not as bad as him) I managed to put him off for about a week -- I finally had HAD it with the Army -- how long could I keep lieing to him!

I told them if THEY didn' ttell him -- I WOULD! I arranged with the nurse to have a priest with him -- to help him deal with the guilt over the death.

It turned out in the end, a colonel told him MMENTS before I did! The floor nurse called me to tell me it was done.

I have STORIES to tell about how the military treats our wounded ... but that's another forum I guess ........

Sorry if this has already been said, I didn't log on for a couple (3) days and I was like 45 pages behind.

OK - the kids say POS (meaning Parent over shoulder)

Brendita - you just say HOS (meaning Husband over shoulder) and we'll all know what you mean.

Just let us know you are here.

Thats works better.
I seem to keep losing that smiley.

I'll just type in HOS when he's home.

No thermometer involved. This is the easiest candy I have ever tried to make. But then again I want try to make it if it is not easy. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have not tried it using peanuts but I would think it would come out the same.

Something went wrong here, mine was scorched and I have a smelly kitchen to prove it.
