Brendita - I am not sure if I sent you :grouphug: yet -so here they are - if I already did - I am sending you more

Tammi - :grouphug: I hope that you have a good Thanksgiving - I am sure having you there will be good for your mom

Lisa - if you can't find a good script font at this website - then you are TOO picky!! :rotfl: (don't worry - I have looked for things on here and been too picky myself - I am trying to learn to lower my standards!)

Sounds like it will be quiet around here this weekend - my whole family is out of town for Thanksgiving - so we are waiting to celebrate on Sunday (minus my two sisters who live out of town) so I get to go to my in-laws for Turkey day -

I will probably do some shopping in the morning - Meijer has the Disney plates with your kids photos on them for $9.99 - I was getting them when I thought they were $20 - so this is worth the trip!!

http://specials.meijer.com/SinglePage.aspx?fsi=5158&loc=52037&pg=323846&ad=5626268&ver=THX&lmi=0

Friday - I will of course be shopping!!!

If anyone travels through Cincinnati during the holidays - now or Christmas - give us a hollar - I will drag Amy out in the cold to meet you all too!! Maybe we could entice her to Chick-fil-A!!!!!

When I say my Thanksgiving Prayer know that you guys will all be on my list!!

We love to camp during the summer and are always looking for new campgrounds to try out. As we are thinking about where to camp this summer I was wondering if any other New Englanders like to camp and if maybe we could do a little DDA meet somewhere. So any campers out there?

Deb

My idea of camping is staying OFF property... :rotfl2:

Glynis - I am sure your turkey will be wonderful. If you need any help, let me know. My best tip to you is to cook it in a roaster over if you have one. Congratulations on your weight loss. I have contemplated GB myself, but just can't bring myself to do it. I have an awesome recipe for lo-carb cheesecake that I absolutely love. No one can even tell it's lo-carb. Once again, great job on the 26 lbs.

I would love the recipe for the cheesecake! I'm looking for any kind of treat that I can nibble. I felt the same way about GB before this last year. Due to my mom's weight she has had to have both knees replaced, needs to have her hips replaced, she has Type 2 diabetes, and recently underwent a 7 bypass surgery plus adding a new valve to her heart. DH and I talked long and hard about having the surgery. It is a huge decision, but ultimately, we decided it was the right thing to do. I love my mom, but I don't want to end up with her health problems.

If you want to know anything about the surgery, please feel free to PM me and I'll answer all questions.

I know this was posted before, but I didn't pay much attention since I don't do black friday. However, my dad does, and since he's staying with us, that means I get to drive him around. Can anyone tell me the link to the site that has all the adds for the stores? Thanks.

Kate - When we were talking about 5 in a 1-bedroom, I found this quote -

You are correct that the studio and one bedroom have an occupancy of four. They also allow one under the age of three. Member Services has been allowing five in a one bedroom with no additional bedding or linens.

Glynis - I will PM you the recipe for lo-carb cheesecake. I have also seen some stuff on lapbands but don't have much info on it either. God bless you for taking control of your life. Here is the disboards thread for lo-carb recipes http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=439493

Here is the bf ad website - circuit city is up now, just click on the left for any other stores you want to see. http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/Sales/Store/circuitcity

I also like this website because you can do a shopping list that will print out for each store. Just highlight the item you want and it will be placed on the shopping list. Office Depot took legal steps to have their ad removed from the page.

Hi Dawn,

thought I would just post the directions on this site since i saw a few others ask about it

In answer to your question, the two other girls with us are both my sisters. The one in the wheelchair is Debi, who is tinker1bell's sister and the other is Cheryl who unfortunately does not have a computer at home. I am the oldest then Debi and then Cheryl. I consider Stephanie my "twin" and Debi and Cheryl will tell you that it is very scary sometimes how in synch Stephanie and I are.

As you said you are a visual person, and I thought as I was reading the directions, you were going to look at them and question them. I got two pieces of paper and wrote wrong and right on each of the pieces and put them together and followed the directions step by step. It made sense when I did that, trust me!!!

when you cut out two yards of fabric, the width of fabric is your own personal choice.

2 yards of print fabric
2 yards of solid fabric
pins
cutting wheel or scissors---your preference
large enough space to lay out fabric

lay the first piece of fabric on a flat surface wrong side up

lay the second piece of fabric on top of the first piece right side up, then pin the two pieces together

cut a 3 inch by 3 inch square from each of the four corners --you can go longer if you want longer fringe

make a slit approximately one to two inche intervals on all four sides

Tie or Knot (your own personal choice of knot) around the entire piece of fabric

when finished, you have a blanket

Sorry! I can't believe my inbox was full already.

ETA: I've read your directions now. I think I've got it but I don't understand why I'm cutting the squares on the corners. Am I supposed to do anything special there or it takes care of itself when you tie it up? It sounds really cute!

Disneyeveryyear Could you PM me the low carb cheesecake recipe too. Dh and I each lost 50 lbs doing the low carb thing. We have been off it for 1 1/2 years and I have recently gained about 10 lbs back. I am starting again this weekend. Got to do something before Christmas.
