I am sitting here at home bored to death, husband accidentally took my car keys to work with him, so I have been on the computer all morning playing around.

Midnite I used your magic kingdom mickey head for this and hope you dont mind.

Well, it sure looks like you used your time wisely. Like the design.

Hopefully you guys can help me out here...

Somewhere in the clip art following the links off of the first post on the Design Tips thread, I came across clip art of a purple castle. I think it was probably grouped together with Cinderella somewhere.

Well now I am searching for it and I can't come accross it! It's driving me nuts! :badpc:

Anyone recall seeing it and have any idea where?

I know it's a major longshot, but I figure someone may have seen it!

Thanks,

Look :earseek: I did it!!! I have a sparkly name and a ticker :cheer2: It took me a while but I finally figured it out. Thanks for posting the instructions on how to get the sparkly name

ooooohhhh... thanks Tinker1bell! That sounds good! I will attempt to brave the crowds tonight and get them! I was hoping to go out and look around this morning, but DS (age 2) isn't feeling well today. Thanks again for the tip!

Does anyone have any suggestions for finding 2T/3T or XXS size plain shirts? The ones I've seen have a pocket on the front (TRU). The last time I checked Target they were all striped or had some design already. Michaels didn't go that small. I will also check Walmart for that tonight, but wondered if anyone had any other ideas? Thanks again!!! :flower:

Our local craft shop (Robert's) has a whole bunch of T shirts that range in size from 2-4 to XXL. I got shirts for all my kids there. My twins are 3 but they are a small 3, so the 2-4 fit them a little big. They looked so cute with the designs printed on them, though.

Yeah - I know have a sparkley Signature! Thanks for posting the link again.

Now, how do I get a sparkley Mickey head?

Has anyone used a shirt with spandex in it? The shirt I'm thinking of using is 95% cotton and 5% spandex.

Some will, some won't. But you know what...I just remembered that the transfer paper specifically says for INKJET printers and copiers aren't inkjet. But I was thinking Kinkos....and they have computer stations, too....so I'd just print it there. Best bet would be to call and ask, I guess, before planning on it!

On a related topic, I found some transfer paper that's made specifically to use in color copiers. It's loads cheaper (but is only for white/light shirts) but it's sold with a disclaimer to call your local copy center to ask before assuming they will use it....

Just my 2 cents on this topic. I went to Kinko's to see if they could print my transfers for me, and was told that the transfers wouldn't work with the type of ink they use. They would run (possibly oil based - can't really remember what she said). Anyway, she said I could give her the design on the disk and they could do it for me for 9 dollars a sheet. I didn't think that was such a good deal, so I ended up doing it on my own. Mine turned out ok, though and were a HUGE hit at Disneyland.

I've used shirts with Spandex. I've bought the Mossimo brand of t-shirts at Target. They wash okay and the transfer works on it fine. Just be careful with ironing. Don't keep the iron in one place too long on the shirt. I washed, then ironed the shirt (in the area where I was going to put the design), let that cool, then laid out the design and ironed it on.

Also, past experience with stretch tees tells me not to dry them completely in the dryer. I just get the moisture out, then lay them flat to dry.

I have a problem. My dh bought a shirt the last time we were at WDW. This is the design that is on the back of the shirt.

He wants to wear this shirt while on our trip. I am trying to keep us all in matching shirts so I came up with the idea of making similar shirts for me and the boys. I want to change the dwarf and the wording, but keep the overall design the same. I have been trying for hours to either create a similar design from scratch using Printshop (it doesn't allow me to create the same shapes) or separating the design into layers so that I could change the dwarf picture and wording using photoshop elements, but I could not figure it out. If anyone wants to take on this challenge I would so appreciate it. My dh is a Mechanic by trade and a car junkie as a hobby so he would love to have us all in the shirts. Here is what we came up with:

First shirt:
Change Grumpy to Happy, We would use "Happy's Homemade Hotrod's" as the "business" name. Replace Service without a smile with "Service with a smile" and change the bottom wording to "Bring me your junk - I'll add a little Spunk" (could put a hotrod image where the car image is, but not necessary)

Second shirt:
Change Grumpy to Dopey. Use "Dopey's Demolishion Derby" as the "business" name. Replace Service without a smile with "Smash and Crash for Cash". And replace the bottom wording with "When you car's near done you can still have some fun"

Third shirt:
Change Grumpy to Bashful. Use "Bashful's Beautiful Auto Bodies" as the "business" name. Replace Service without a smile with "we add style with a smile" and replace the bottom wording with "Fender to Fender It's great service we Render"

Forth shirt:
Change Grumpy to Sleepy. Use "Sleepy's Stylish Auto Interiors" as the "business" name. Replace Service without a smile with "Sometimes style takes a while" and replace the bottom wording with "We will not rest until your interior looks it's best".

I liked the dwarf images on http://www.greeting-cards-4u.com/pl...0003Disney.html

I know that this is a huge order for someone and I understand if no one has time. Sorry that the image is not horizontal, but it was the only way I could get it to scan on my scanner.

Thanks a million.

So I finally tried my hand at doing my iron on transfers and I was disappointed...They all seemed to be crackly...But I followed all the directions....I prewashed shirts inside out, dried them no fabric softener, put the transfers on right and definitely ironed them long enough and they still just did not turn out right :( I used Fruit of the Loom plain white T's and Avery light shirt transfer paper. Anyone have any idea why they would still come out crackly? I think rather than try it again ourselves we may take them to a shop....my bf found one that said if we print the transfers they could press them for us and they have tshirts there. They can't print on their transfers bc of copyright issues w/ Disney. I think they said it would only be about $7 a shirt, which is cheap bc it includes the shirt. Anyway since either way I decide to go, is there better transfers than the Avery ones that anyone would reccomend or did those work for you? I know this has been asked before but this thread just gets bigger and bigger everyday. :sunny:
I used HP for dark shirts, but used it on a white shirt and it worked fine. Bought the paper in the computer section at Target.

If someone makes these I would love to see them. If there was another shirt with Snow White (detailing cars maybe) they would be great for our whole family to wear DH, 3DS and me-mom.:flower:

I am planning to wear the bashful one. I thought about snow white, but decided to stick to the dwarf theme. There are 5 of us. I hope that someone has the time and talent to create these for us.

I did a fitted shirt the other day with this design:

DH comes home, looks at it, says "cool! Uhh... this is your shirt right?" Yes dear, an obviously female fitted shirt made just for you. lol

Guess he's afraid I will make him a girly shirt. :confused3
