Yes because it is basically a sheet of plastic film that you iron onto the shirt BUT...some designs (like most of the ones I did) would be hard to cut around completely. The designs that have solid backgrounds with borders would be easiest to cut out. Well thats my understanding anyways. I actually only used light transfer for my white ts and the one dark transfer I did was on a black T.

Thank you so much for the information.

Hi Amy & Kevin - this is off the topic, but last weekend we were in the hamptons and saw a car w/the license plate KMH 1 - and I thought of you guys!! I don't know where you are from, could that have possibly been you?

I was waiting for you to respond first. You know I was dying to brag last week that I met the famous (or is it infamous :teeth: ) Julia and Nick's Mom!

And just so everybody knows...Kate's kids are even cuter in person than they are in the pictures she's posted. Julia has the best "sassy" strut I've ever seen and Nick is even cute when he's pushing Alyssa away from the slide!

Amy :)

Hey Andrea! Nope, we were in good ole' Cincinnati last weekend. I guess someone else out there shares Kevin's initials and thinks of him/herself as #1! :rotfl:

I was worried about this, too, when I bought the Avery transfers. On the outside of the package it says for 100% cotton, but inside on the tips sheet it says "any color cotton or poly/cotton blend fabric", so 50/50 shirts should be fine. I haven't actually used it yet, though. It also says to not use a glass surface to iron on. Some had suggested using a glass top stove, so maybe it is okay with some of the brands, but I am not going to chance it with Avery. If anyone has any actual experience with either of these, please respond! :)

When you do try it (or anyone here has already) tried the dark avery transfer paper on 50/50, please let us know...

Thanks all!

Amy and I do know each other IRL - but only b/c we met on the DIS

I saw her in the Disney Store one day and couldn't figure out how I knew her - then it clicked who she was - but also confirmed that I had a DisBoard addiction since I was recognizing people from their signatures!! I didn't say anything but sent her a PM later and we started chatting and actually just met last week!!!

I haven't emt Kevin yet! Their little girl is adorable!! :goodvibes

That's really cool - I like that story :cheer2:

Geez I was lost on what page to begin today! :p When I finished everything up yesterday morning I tossed the post-it I had on my screen that I'd mark what page was the last when I read!

I have a few thoughts but not sure I'm going to have enough time to write it all down right now...have to leave to pick DS Erich up in 45 min.We have Open House later this evening so it will be awhile until I get back online.

Anyway I guess we can just keep chit chatting around on this thread.I still think it will overwhelm anyone new coming to it BUT the link I have on the TPAS Board links to the entire board not just this thread so I
I'm hoping newbies can peek into the other places, read the welcome post and then jump in here to this community thread.I also have NO IDEA how many posts a thread can handle :earseek: ...I'll have to ask a WM about that! :)

I know some have suggested links in this thread...I'll have to read through those more as it all was not clicking in my muddle mind yesterday! :earboy2: But what I'm getting from alot of you is that you have the THREAD booked marked/Saved as Favorite...not the CCS or TPAS Boards .I didn't know people did that! :confused3 I've always book marked each board I visit then click onto whatever board I'm going to then I scan the entire board for new posts or ones I've responded to and I'm still interested in. Bookmarking a thread was a new one to me! :earsboy:

I was hoping that when anyone had a TIP they could put it on the FAQ&TIPS thread.http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=892906
lovesdumbo,Mrs Squirrel,Brendita,Mommykds and taeja71 had several great tips as I read the new pages from today but I'm afraid they'l get lost in this thread in a few days.

Well I guess that's about it for now. :sunny:

I want to thank all those who have PMed me and here in this thread. It meant alot. :goodvibes I'm not trying to ruin anything ...good grief I HATE change myself...I'm just trying to make it EASIER to navigate all the friendly, wonderfully creative genius oozing through this thread!! :flower:

Oh almost forgot Terrific new designs everyone!!!! :cool1: Send me the URL and I'll get them in the Design Gallery!

I gotta go! Y'all have a good afternoon! :sunny:

:goodvibes :cloud9: :grouphug: Baloo :goodvibes

So long as this thread doesn't get closed or locked, I'll be happy. This has been one of my best experiences on the web. :sunny:

THAT IS SO CUTE.....BUT CAN I BE A LITTLE PICKY....PLEASE. INSTEAD OF DARK GREEN AND LIGHT GREEN CAN YOU CHANGE THE LIGHT GREEN TO GOLD LIKE IT SHOWS IN THE "GHS RAMS" NAME. PLEEEEEASE.........THANKS BUNCHES.

lmartin2711...I will get that changed. I couldn't find a pic of the actual cheerleader, so I just used the same colors as the football one (green and gold).

mom2oh...Thank you so much for the awesome designs for our MNSSHP!!! You are very talented and I am glad you were so willing to share your work. I am off to Walmart next week to buy shirts! Wish me luck with the transfer process!

Thanks again!

BTW - Midnite you've started something. My boys are now arguing over who wears the Mission mickey and who wears the Star Wars 3-d designs (we don't have enough days for them each to wear both with everything else they've picked).

Since you started it wanna finish it?? :guilty:
How can I help you?

I'm not sure about the Avery for white.
I used the Avery for dark.
You don't have to reverse the design.

Here are a few of my tips.
Don't try to do all at 1 time.
Did in steps not as stressfull.
I wash shirts 1 day, printed designed 1 day, ect.

1. Wash & dry all shirts.
2. Print your design on the Avery paper.
3. Trim your design.
4. Peel the back paper off.
5. Measure for position on shirt. (I placed all designs 4in. down from collar)
6. Place design on shirt.
7. Put the paper sheet over your design.
8. Iron about 2 min. on hottest.
9. Let cool 2 min.
10. Peel paper sheet off. (save this paper can be used again for touch ups)

I'm going to start doing these tonight. I'm a little nervous as I am not as crafty as I wish I was. I pretend to be, and sometimes that can be disappointing. Wish me luck.

Midnite - I'm thinking if I just send them to you and I don't have to hear about it that'll be a start :rotfl2:

They'll get over themselves - just think of it as a giant compliment these kids don't usually care if their clothes are clean much less what's on them.

Thanks for sharing all your great designs!!
