does this work?

lightshy.jpg

because I know you will all want to know -

I used two pictures - lightened one and then put the other one on top and erased the dark sky

That is perfect. I tried for 2 days to fix that picture! You are very talented! Thanks a lot!

Speaking of t-shirts....KMART has a ton of summer stuff on sale.Plain t-shirts for woman anywhere from $2.50 to $5 a piece.Sixe XS to XL.Think they had Plus sizes too.

I got the Basic Edition brand. It's a nice weight and has a sorta scoop neckline.

I was excited to find these because it seems like plain woman's t-shirts are harder to find. :cool1:

You guys are always a step ahead. I was just signing on to post this. They also have for $5.00 tie-dyed womens v-necks. The type that is more form fitting. In pink, blue or almost lime green. I thought they would be nice to put a pocket design on the front with a full picure on the back.

They also have in the mens section nice weight solid color T-shirts for $5.00

You did the Mickey Harley for my Uncle me and I needed the Minnie Harley for my Aunt. I will check at Walmart, Kroger, Target......if they have it I will buy it and come home and take a picture and email it to you. Thanks for the heads up.

It's probably not ethical but couldn't you just take a picture in the store...

What kind of transfer paper do you use? My DH bought some the other day but it's white paper. I don't want the transfer paper to show on the shirts.

Our local Wal-Mart has mens T's on clearance for $3.00 and kids T's from $1.00 -$2.00. Didn't check the women's department.

If I get to the bakery and there is a cake made with Minnie Mouse on a Harley I am defenitely taking the picture.....if not then I will just buy the figurine topping and take my pictures at home. My Aunts birthday is in October so I could always make a cake for her and put the Harley Minnie on top as a surprise.

I don't know if you are asking me, but I'll tell you that I used Avery (from Walmart) or light colored fabrics. The paper was white but I used someone's tip (can't remember whose, sorry) to cut close to the design with an exacto knife, which worked really well for me. If you are using dark fabric, get the paper specifically for that. It will say on the packaging whether it is for light or dark fabrics.

Well here is one of the shirts that I promised you. This is Shelby wearing her Princess shirt that J&N's mom desgined for her. The picture that I took isn't the clearest; but the transfer turned out great. Then when I was done, I sprayed on glitter.

This is a picture of Shelby wearing her sister's shirt. Now this is the back of Dakoda's shirt. The front will also be the same as Shelby's and have the carriage on it.

I didn't notice that I actually had a better pic of the shirt with glitter on it. I think the shirts look so much nicer with it on. Lot's of PIXIE dust!!!! With the angle of the camera it's hard to see that the whole transfer was done in the sparkles.

Tell me how to use the glitter, please. Do you spray it on after the transfer is ironed? Or do you need to put it on before the transfer?

As soon as your done transfering your picture and you take off the backing; that's when you should spray the glitter. It's better then cause the picture is still hot from the iron and the picture needs to cool and set. So by spraying the glitter right away when the picture is hot it will set right in and when you go to wash the shirt most of the glitter should stay on the shirt and not get washed away.

Your very welcome! The Tink looks great on a shirt (neat to see what they look like on) The front is very cool (another great job J&N's mom)

OK, I'm going to try this. DH has Photoshop and has been coaching me through it (he's such a patient teacher :goodvibes ).
