Disney dangled the visual weinee & Mickeystoontown gobbled it up! 10/26

Whew!! I sat down to read your TR and I read from "That man has a crutch in his crotch" all the way through hurling on teacups!! THANK YOU for entertaining me today! :rotfl:

I was the DIS'er who met up with you in the "soccer store" in UK at Epcot. It must have been your second day there because I don't think I would have been at Disney just yet.

Hoping life calms down so I can follow along in real time!

Prayers for John's dad!!!

Loving the Mine Train photos! I am so glad you were one of the lucky ones to nabbed it on the first day.

With the hate...how much did the monograming cost? I just had someone ask me about this and I know years ago it used to be free but now they charge.

Lol, love it!! Last time I went on the teacups with my grandmunchkin he was 7. He said "Grandma, don't turn the spinner around thing, ok".

You brought back lots of fun memories. The funny thing was that even not touching the spinner wheel our teacup was spinning as fast as the ones where people were turning as hard as they could lol.

Great 'hurling' pictures,lol.

Oh the teacups! When will they realize that not every person riding them is 5'0 tall and weigh 100 pounds?? I'm not tall so legroom is not the problem....its ummm.... I have to squeeze my voluptuous curves into the ride and that makes it hard to spin! :rotfl2:

Definitely if you have the time go through the regular line on 7 Dwarves, lots of cute things after you actually enter the normal line area.

We started our trips out at 5 days and now we've progressed to two weeks. It's the perfect amount of time for our family.

When I start the pre-trip report, you and I will need to see if any of our plans overlap.

Definitely! I will have to keep an eye out for when that starts up. I have a basic framework for our days now, only because I want to make sure I am all set up for our ADRs when we can finally start booking them on December 2nd (I believe - it may be the 1st!). We are celebrating both our birthdays - mine will happen while there on 6/2, his is a few days before we leave - so it will be one big party trip! So excited for a new celebration button!

I just finally finished the last update!

In 2008 I managed to convince my boyfriend and one of our other friends to get on the teacups (the other 3 in our party wisely stayed behind). We had an absolutely blast and spun like crazy! But when it was time to exit...oh boy. We were so dizzy that Devon and I took 2-3 steps and actually fell to the ground! My boyfriend was hysterical trying to help us up. Eventually we staggered over to the exit and had a good laugh about it!

Yay :cool1: for mine train. I seriously can't wait to ride it next month. I have a FP during MNSSHP. I am going to try to stay extra late and ride it multiple times. That's my plan and I'm sticking to it! :rotfl2:

So nice that the train was running so late at night. It always seems to stop running earlier when I am there. I am sure its a nice ride as its starting to get dark.

I bet the three of you on the Tea cups was a true sight to see. Glad you all managed NOT to hurl! :rotfl:

Mary Ellen, the mine train is a great addition to the new Fantasyland and is an awesome ride. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you do, indeed, get to ride it multiple times next trip.

We were quite the scene on the tea cups, I am sure.

Ok so I am just getting caught up on your last two updates so I may come accross long winded LOL!!!
1st how in the world did I miss that Monkey cupcake??? That looks outstanding!!!

The cupcake is delicious! I've had it in the chocolate and yellow cake version and like them both.

2nd I love you picture of the view out the window of Old Port Royale. Really beautiful!

Wouldn't you love to be there right now? I know that I would.

3rd I love the decor of Grand Floridian Cafe! The food looks assume!!! I love shrimp but was not sure about the whole grit thing but that looks very Yummy!! In fact ALL the food looks outstanding!!!! How ever sweet potatoes are not sweet potatoes unle served with butter, brown sugar, and marshmellows IMOP.

We loved everything about the Grand Floridian Cafe'. The decor was beautiful and light and airy. The food was amazing! I seriously thought that the sweet potatoes would have a sweet flavor but they had a smokey taste.

4th Hunter has such an eye for photography. I love his celling shot! Taken pictures of the signs of the rides tell me that one day I will be reading HIS trip reports;)

Hunter loves to take pictures (just like his Mama) and I could totally see him writing a trip report one day.

5th I wonder if the regular line for Mine Train provides more pictures opps. The one thing about riding The Little Mermaid ride for the very first time and at rope drop did not give me time to take the pictures I wanted to take. I just loved how beautiful that area was even before I got on the ride and would have liked more time to get good pictures. Next time I am still going at RD but I am goind to take my time taking pictures and let people go ahead of me.
Mine Train looks fun but I thought there would be more to the tunnels.

I've seen pictures of the queue at the Little Mermaid and the Mine Train and they both look so neat. There are advantages of the FP and disadvantages.

Yay for 7DMT!!! I got to ride it a few days before you (May 23rd, the 24 hour day) and managed to get in line when it wasn't even past the Tea Cups. Later that day it was all the way past Storybook Circus :scared1: I also loved the ride itself, fun and well themed.

What a sweet gift for Hunter to get his girlfriend! :goodvibes

Your tea cups pictures had me :rotfl::rotfl2:!! I especially love the fake puking pictures! :lmao:

Wasn't the line for the mine train crazy!?! I couldn't believe that it wrapped all the way almost to Storybook.

We had so much fun on the tea cups. Of course, we had to do the fake puking pictures 'cause we are who we are.

I was determined to read your update before I hit the sack so I can get up and go get coffee before the limo comes to take us to the airport.

I am so glad you got on 7DMT that night. The FP line is a bit confusing, but at least I know now if you are standing looking at it from the front, FP is to the left.

You are having a brain poot or two or three? :lmao::lmao::lmao: I love you, Lisa, you are so much like me.

The photos on the Mad Tea Party are hysterical...especially the ones that you pretend you are hurling. :lmao::lmao::lmao: What a hoot your family is.

Kathy, it looks like you are having a fantastic time at WDW and I am JEALOUS!

Honey, I have so many brain poots, it's pitiful.

Now that is funny "Sweet Hurling Memories at Disney" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I have been looking in your pictures for us because we were there some place that day but I haven't seen us yet :rotfl: If I remember right I think we had a reservation at CRT at 7:00 or 7:10 some time around that. So we were probably in there. We were in there a long time :sad2:

Wouldn't it be something if you did spot your family in our pictures?!?!

Looking at these 2 pictures I'm slightly confused. In the 1st one Hunter is sitting in front of you on the left side. In the 2nd one someone else is sitting in front of you on the left side. :confused3 Is this some kind of Disney Magic trick???

Hunter's there in the picture. The mine carts do a little swinging motion and tilt when going around curves. He's waaaaaaay over to the left. His hair color blends in with the surroundings.

In the second picture I see a head that looks like it is not even in the train :scared1: Hunter must of jumped out:rotfl:

:lmao:

OK....Hunter takes the cake again. That photo is hysterical. I love how you guys let loose and just have fun.

Sorry to hear of all he recent challenges. Glad that John will be back to work soon.

Hunter can make the craziest faces! We have no problem letting loose so long as we aren't downright loud or rude to other guests. Other than that, there are no rules!

Thank you! We hope that life settles down soon.

:wave2:

i am caught up!
I am so sorry you are going through all this real life nastiness. my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family!!!

As always i love all your updates! you guys are a dang RIOT!!! SO MUCH FUN! all your food looks delish. House of Blues? Chicago Icon. :thumbsup2

DTD is a MESS. a hot MESS!

way to go with your mad snooping skills! go get those pictures! :rotfl2:

Dessert party!!! WOOO HOOO!!!! :hyper:

can't wait to hear about how you all liked it!

Hey lady! I hear the trip was a good one! I can hardly wait until you start the report so I can hear about the big reveal.

Thank you for the prayers! They are appreciated!

Yep, Downtown Disney is a hot mess and it got even messier the further we got into the trip.

Same here. I had to put Isis to sleep a few weeks ago and I spent a week in bed. She was like my kid...it was the most difficult thing I've ever done.
On another note, I got married in Vegas with Evis. It was fun. I'll post photos if I do a TR. If not, I'll pm you the pics.

April, I am so very very sorry to hear that you had to put your baby, Isis, to sleep. I know that was a hard decision for you to make.

You're a married woman now! OH MY GOSH! CONGRATULATIONS!

I wanna see a trip report please please please!

April!!! I'm glad to see you back too! I'm so sorry about Isis, I know how much you loved her and how much you did for her. And congrats on the Vegas wedding! :goodvibes

(Sorry for stealing your thread for a moment Lisa!)

Thank you. It always helps to know people care. And sorry, Lisa!

You two! Seriously? You think that you have to apologize for "stealing" my thread? Shut the heck up! I don't mind it at all.

LOVED the Mine TRAIN!!! :))))))))

EWW, cannot do the tea cups! My boys haven't asked to do them.... Yet.... It's probably coming!! HAHA!

We loved it too! It's been several years since we've been on the tea cups and it was so much fun. I suspect that you are right....your boys are gonna ask sooner or later.

It's possible I may have actually almost made my DH hurl before MVMCP a few years ago on the teacups... :faint: I didn't know he couldn't handle spinny rides, LOL!!! :lmao:

:lmao: Uh oh! Sooooo...did he hurl?

Yay! Work un-blocked The DIS! I can catch up on Lisa's trip report!
I'm with you, Lisa... it's a strange feeling going backwards into Small World now...
And the Dwarfs' faces look funny with your camera flash. How did they look in person?
In the half-dozen times we've stayed at the Caribbean Beach, I don't know if I've ever noticed that table with the go-lids and such on it. I'll have to look for it next time. You see that blurry kid in one of your arcade pix? That would be my son in there... always zipping around.

Yay for the Dis being unblocked! We added new virusware to our computers at work and I kept my fingers crossed the whole time that the Dis wouldn't be blocked.

The dwarves did not look like that "in real life". They looked like real faces. I have no clue why they turned out the way they did.

The to-go lid table thing used to be behind the counter and you had to ask for them. But, a few years ago, they moved it over in a corner near the check-outs. Now, it's over by the raised section of the food court.

Hi April- I'm going to hijack Lisa's thread, too, because I know she doesn't mind.

I'm sorry to hear about Isis. I know how much she meant to you. :grouphug:

Congratulations on the wedding!

:goodvibes

Dee, I missed your post and should have put it in the same post as April's and Steph's. Isn't it wonderful to see April back!?!

Lisa, hilarious hurling episode! Love the pictures.

:rotfl2:

:woohoo: for scoring the Mine Train on the first day it was open!!!

Glad you guys loved the ride.

:goodvibes

The ride was fantastic! We were able to ride it again later on in the trip and it was just as fun.

That update made me so excited. We loved the Mine Train too. I know it's not a huge thrill ride but it was so awesome. I didn't see the old lady until I road it a second time. And I love the teacups. My DH won't ride them, he finds a place to sit while me and the girls ride it.

You have had a crazy month or more. Sorry about your Mississippi relatives were not all like that I promise.

Can't wait to hear more!

I didn't notice the old lady the first time either. It had been a while since we had ridden the tea cups and it was a lot of fun. Mostly because we were acting silly but still fun.

Oh I know that not all Mississippi folks are crazy like my sis-in-law. Thank goodness!;)

Glad you were able to get a Fastpass for the opening day of Mine Train. I heard that they went insanely quick the second they popped up online.

I was so afraid that they would go quickly too so once I made it, I wasn't trying to change the time or anything.

Who doesn't love a ride on the train at Disney? It's a classic.

:thumbsup2

I wish I could have seen all the other people's faces on the teacups as you all were making hurling faces. :rotfl: you know some of them were panicking! :lmao:

I wouldn't have been surprised to see people in line whispering "See that teacup those crazy people are in? Don't get in that one."

I am SOOOO glad that you posted! I have tried over and over to remember the Diser who we saw in the soccer store and now I have the answer.:cool1:

Hoping life calms down so I can follow along in real time!

My boss is going out of town later this week so I should be able to post at least another update if not two.

Prayers for John's dad!!!

Loving the Mine Train photos! I am so glad you were one of the lucky ones to nabbed it on the first day.

With the hate...how much did the monograming cost? I just had someone ask me about this and I know years ago it used to be free but now they charge.

Thank you Jen! He is doing a lot better but is getting restless having to take it easy.

I am almost positive that Hunter chose the monograming that didn't cost much. I'm thinking less than $5.00. There were others that were quite expensive.

I know about the spinner wheel spinning without anybody touching it! It did that to us before. I figured it was that hitchiking ghost from the Haunted Mansion who was doing it. :rolleyes2

Oh the teacups! When will they realize that not every person riding them is 5'0 tall and weigh 100 pounds?? I'm not tall so legroom is not the problem....its ummm.... I have to squeeze my voluptuous curves into the ride and that makes it hard to spin! :rotfl2:

It is a tight squeeze for everybody but kids. Make that short kids. :rotfl:

Definitely if you have the time go through the regular line on 7 Dwarves, lots of cute things after you actually enter the normal line area.

If I could ever get the family up in time for rope drop, we could go through the regular line but I can't seem to get 'em moving that quickly.

Woo hoo! A birthday trip! I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who had the basic framework done for a May/June, 2015 trip. I can make our first ADRs while we are in Tennessee for Thanksgiving. I also have to factor in what we need to get done before Lacey and the rest of the gang arrive since they won't have as much time there as we will.

Oh my gosh! You fell down? That's hilarious in a bad sort of way. :rolleyes1

Morning! The bossman is running late this morning so I was able to post replies to everybody's posts. :woohoo:

He is scheduled to leave the office sometime tomorrow afternoon to attend a two day continuing education seminar so I'm hoping to have a little more Dis time. I gotta get at least one update posted or I'll be a total loser. I may even be able to get two posted if I can get pictures uploaded to Photobucket.

I have some good news to share:

JOHN WENT BACK TO WORK TODAY! which calls for some sweet dance moves

Oh my gosh! You fell down? That's hilarious in a bad sort of way. :rolleyes1

Oh yes! It was hysterical! We were so dizzy that we fell, then we started laughing so hard we couldn't get up. I think even the CM was laughing at us! Thankfully it subsided after a few minutes!:rotfl:

Yay :cool1: for mine train. I seriously can't wait to ride it next month. I have a FP during MNSSHP. I am going to try to stay extra late and ride it multiple times. That's my plan and I'm sticking to it! :rotfl2:

We were at MNSSHP Sunday, the 14th and Mine Train was a walk on for most of the night! So, I would say you should have good luck riding it multiple times during the party. And it IS a great ride!

Lisa, yay for John being back to work! That's got to be a huge relief for everyone.

So sorry to hear about his dad, but I hope he continues to do well.

Love your Mine Train photos. Having just been there, it was even more exciting to see them.

Love your hurling photos. I can't ride the Tea Cups anymore because I probably really would hurl! I let DH ride that one with my girls.

I'll be starting a TR soon! I need to start uploading pics, but I have a title picked out and everything!
