Disney dangled the visual weinee & Mickeystoontown gobbled it up! 10/26

I agree -- I want to see a picture of John's hat. Hat-hunting is a big production for dh when we are there.

Heh...she said "hiney". :rotfl2:

They have a Whack-a-mole game like that at Rehoboth Beach in Delaware. I had an uncle who actually memorized the pattern of the game. I think he got banned from playing after a while. :rotfl:

Anyway, good work Hunter!

I'm guessing John can stand the sun because he's a Southern boy.:thumbsup2

Great Dinosaur photo! And brilliant use of the props. :thumbsup2

Great update! Love the Dinosaur picture - very funny! And where's our picture of John's new hat??? :rotfl2:

Love your details shots of AK!

Yes, tinkling is SUPER important... moreso if you're about to be (or are) cold!! ;)

Morning ya'll! I hope that you all had a fantastic weekend!

I don't remember if I told ya'll or not....I was chosen to host a Disney Side @homecelebrations party! Yeah baby! It's been several years since I hosted the Disney "red box" party so I'm super stoked about hosting another. Hunter and I went to Hobby Lobby this weekend and I got a whole lotta ideas about what theme to go with. I am waiting semi-patiently for the box to arrive so that I can finalize my plans. Of course, when the package arrives, I'm going to post pictures so that you all can see the goodies. And, once I have the party, there will be even more pictures and stories to follow. I'm soooooo excited!

Replies and an update coming later. Just wanted to share my excitement with my Dis friends.

Hi all! I've long followed Lisa's trip reports, and had to come out of lurkdom to give her a great big thank you. I loved the shots she took of Expedition Everest on this trip, especially the one from where the tracks 'end'. I haven't seen a picture of that location from that slightly side perspective before, or since.

My dining room walls are a deep yellow shade, and I've had this one blank wall forever that I've been trying to figure out what to hang there for artwork. As soon as I saw that shot, I knew it would be perfect. So I emailed Lisa to get her permission, which she generously granted. After minor cropping and color adjustment, I sent it off to the local printer. I couldn't be happier with the result!! :thumbsup2

Thanks again, Lisa! I will definitely chime in as I follow along now! ~ Kathi

I JUST LOVE your ride picture!!!! PROPS!!! What a fantastic idea!!!! your all so FUN!!!

i cannot wait to read about being flicked!

We always do some sort of silly picture and the props certainly came in handy this time.

Well, there....I now know why it was a good idea to keep all the littles!! That picture is so adorable! We are never that creative! It sounds as though your AK day was wonderful! Yay!!:cool1:

Yep, a good reason to keep all the little stuffed animals. We try to do a crazy picture each trip and this one included props.

What a brilliant idea to use all of Hunter's winnings on your trip to bring a Dinosaur home. I LOVE it! :thumbsup2

But no picture of John's new hat?

And I'm with you...always a bio-break before getting on a cold bus.

Nope, no picture of the hat. It's just a plain old ballcap with the Kilimanjaro Safari log.

Now I wish that I had thought to take a picture of the hat. Like your trips, hat shopping is a big deal.

I'll be posting pictures of the items in the box, my crafts that I've done so far, the party itself and everything else in between.

OMG, that Dinosaur picture is awesome! Great use of the prizes. :worship:

That is so cool that you get to host the Disney side party. I can't wait to see what you come up with! Almost makes me wish I lived near you guys, I might have had to invite myself. :rotfl2:

I love your Dinosaur picture! That is awesome!

We always play "Guess the Screamer" when we ride Dinosaur. The first time we rode it was when my oldest was tall enough, so we had no clue what we were in for. She cried through the entire ride. (Of course, now she loves it). It's one of those rides where you MAY be tall enough, but you probably aren't ready. So we try to figure out which rider will be the one who screams the most...adult or child.

Congrats on the party! That's awesome!

I love the Dinosaur pic. Perfect use of props!

You got some great AK pics. I would also like to see a picture of John's hat!
