Disney dangled the visual weinee & Mickeystoontown gobbled it up! 10/26

Glad to hear John felt better. Poor guy.

Love the Mission Space video! :thumbsup2 Love that attraction.

All caught up again. Your Epcot morning was eventful.

To the Land with the masses!! ;) I enjoy Living with the Land, as well. It is a peaceful little ride. And I LOVE the smell in there. Sort of like Pirates and Splash. Those Disney smells just stay with you.

Mission Space  I know I CANNOT do the Orange side any more. I did the Green side last summer. I survived, but still felt a little OFF. But nothing like when I did the Orange side years back and had to lie on a bench for 30 min after to let the effects wear off.

You sound so cute in your video. As another poster said, now there is a voice to go with the story!!

Sorry that John felt bad after MS. It's hard for others to understand these diseases that are "unseen". Glad that a little rest and his "magic" pill made him feel better. Seizures are the pits.

You are right. Hunter's "ride" didn't seem too wild and crazy looking at it from the outside. My DS loves Innoventions. He could stay in there designing rides for himself all day.

Can't wait to read what's next!

Oh my, poor John! I'm so sorry he has to live with epilepsy and that you all have to deal with it. I"m glad he recovered quickly, though.

I also love your voice! So cute!

Sum of all Thrills looks cool! Maybe we'll try that this year.

I am so loving reading about your trip, seems every time you post something -- even your responses to others -- gives me more insight into the kind of family you are. We are also celebrating our 30th anniversary this year and so happy that John is having a "good-enough" year that we are able to celebrate it with Donald & Pluto (ok so we'll tolerate the mice :rotfl2:)

It is nice to hear how others deal with invisible disabilities with grace. I'm bi-polar and that can lead to some very interesting days. Our plans need to be very "free & open" to allow me the chance to bow out of things without causing a fuss. Was hard on the kids not being able to plan play dates with friends with little advance notice. John is a sweetheart and will often notice me loosing control before i feel the change myself and will gently touch my elbow and give me a small wink. This is a subtle signal for both of us to quietly leave a situation.

You are making me even more excited about our resort choice! I love the fact that it is so large and will give us the ability to request a room FAR REMOVED from the hub-bub to give me the chance for quiet recharging :thumbsup2

It's been a while since I last rode Living with the land....probably 2009??? I didn't realize they didn't have a human guide anymore...heck maybe they didn't then either and I just didn't remember. :rotfl2:

I sitll have not tried mission space....but we did do Ellen this year. I did it years ago, but this was Claire's first time.....I remember it being better....it was pretty boring...and of course I was fighting sleep the whole time. :faint:

Glad John got to feeling better.

I like Living with the Land. For some reason the older I get the more I appreciate it. Every time I go on it I go through the "eww and ahhh" (like watching fireworks hehe) in my head. I wish I could grow stuff like that! I want a tomato tree! I went by myself last year while DH and DS were on Mission Space. I am not riding that thing again...ever. I HATE the enclosed spaces. It's bad when they close the door but, when the control panel comes forward...OMG. :scared1: I love your video. Great job on taking it so well. Screaming like a girl... :lmao:

I am glad that your hubby ended up being alright. That bites that y'all have to deal with epilepsy.

DS loves the Sum of All Thrills also. He's going to take DH on it with him next time we go. I know it's only your head that is enclosed but, I don't think I want to do that either. :scared:

I haven't done Living with the Land before but I've got to change that- next trip. I can't handle mission space nor the teacups at MK... :(((

Poor John! That has to be miserable. I remember being at Epcot when I was pregnant with Lawson and we were waiting for a show to start and I got so nauseous standing there. I almost had to leave but ended up just sitting down where I was to feel better. Feeling bad is terrible but on vacation- it makes it seem so much worse.

There's never a good time to need a medical break, but it's especially frustrating when it happens on your vacation. Thank goodness nothing more needed to be done and a short break helped with the recovery. Continuing on in Epcot sounds like a good thing to me.:thumbsup2

That mango slushie has to be new. (I'm assuming it is due to it being in a Joffrey's cup.) And if it isn't, then it's been hidden out of sight from me. When I was in Epcot while I was pregnant, I was craving a mango slushie, exactly. And my poor, poor DH walked all the way around the WS and through FW to try and find me one, all while desperately asking the DIS. :rotfl2: I guess now I'm covered on future trips. (Which means I'll never want one again.:rotfl:)

The people sitting on the floor do cause me to roll my eyes. Especially if you happen to look around, 90% of the folks lounging around are kids and/or young adults. I just have to laugh that the adults can suck it up and manage the feet fatigue better than the children.:rolleyes2

Posting for both updates:

Love the video of Mission Space! While it's not my favorite ride, I do enjoy it. And your screaming definitely added to the enjoyment while watching it! :lmao:

Scary that John's epilepsy started bothering him, but I'm glad he started to feel better by the end of the attraction! Love the video of Sum of all Thrills too, that is one of the only attractions I've never done as the line is always so long! I'm determined that George and I will do it on our trip. :goodvibes

Getting caught up on the latest updates. Love your video of Mission Space, I have only done the mild side, I really would like to try the other one (I can never keep orange and green straight as to which one's which)

I also Love all the pics on Living with the Land, I like that ride, although I can't help but miss the old version with the human guide and the cute little song they played ("Listen to the land")

I liked the video of Hunter on the Sum of all thrills, too, we never make it into Innoventions so it was neat to get to see some of it.

So sorry John wasn't feeling well but glad he got better.

Oh and did you see I have a new ticker now?? I am so excited! :cheer2: :cool1:

I was thinking we weren't going to be able to get there this year but then the time frame opened up. We had been holding off on planning anything for a long time because Tim's brother was really sick and we were afraid to make any plans in case anything happened, not to mention that he needed a lot of care and support. I am pretty sure I had told you about him being since but I don't think I told you that he did actually pass away back a few weeks ago. It was awful to see him suffer as much as he did towards the end, so it was sort of relief/blessing that he is at peace now, but he was really young, only 41 (same age as me) It's been really hard on everyone, especially his mother, it hit her hard to lose her husband and son in the space of a few years (my FIL died in 2010). I felt bad about thinking about planning it at first but then I stopped feeling bad since my SIL (his wife) has been away twice in the past couple weeks.

We made the reservation this afternoon, staying at POP. I went right in and made all my ADR's already, a few were already booked but I got most of what I wanted-- Boma (dinner), Biergarten, 50's PTC, Kona Cafe (Breakfast), Yak and Yeti, Via Napoli, and Crystal Palace (Dinner). the Biergarten is the only one we have been to before.

Hi Lisa,

I caught back up with you again. I remember reading your TP about your cruise, and then in 2013 we were planning on going the same week and part of the FB group. We didn't get a 2014 Disney trip :sad1: but are planning a 2015 trip. I came across this TR and have enjoyed getting my Disney fix through you.

Also, I have heard that CBR will now have murphy bed after the refurb. As a family of 5, POR has been our only option (other than Deluxe) and I am excited to try it out. I sure hope it's an option for booking when 2015 rates come out next week!

Hi again!
I just adored your video of Missions Space!! your voice is ADORABLE! Midwesterner here.. :thumbsup2 This year will be our first on this ride since my daughter is finally tall enough (worst triplets ever not even the same height!) :lmao:

i am sorry he had a small seizure thankfully he was better. I hope the rest of your trip will be free of stupid seizures!!! The thrill looked kinda fun!!!!

Yes i agree they are really fun glow-ey shoes in a black light!!!

Just got caught up on the last couple posts. Love seeing the CBR pictures. I did FP+ reservations two days ago. They'll end up changing because my brother hasn't done his and my mom and my SIL's mom aren't even on our list yet, but I wanted to get Snow White and Toy Story while they were there. I wanted to get a Fast Pass for lunch at the Beauty and the Beast restaurant, but I couldn't see where we could do that so I'll have to look around some more. We're at 58 days and it seems like both a lifetime and not enough time to plan.

Try this link for the BOG lunch FP:
https://beourguestlunch.disney.go.com/ViewConfirmation.aspx?mode=view

Isn't it crazy how times go slow but yet flies by so quickly that you can't seem to get everything done? Makes no sense at all.

I love your descriptions. I'm thinking about doing the Behind the Seeds with the kids. I hadn't even thought of it, but I think they would both enjoy it. Will loves Living With The Land and Christian loves Science. I'm working on trying to get there a day earlier and if we do I want to do EPCOT that morning, so that would work perfect. We'll see if I manage it.

If the boys are even an little bit interested in Living with the Land, then I think they will like the tour. It's very laid back and they can ask as many questions as they'd like to.

Glad John ended up okay. It really stinks to have to deal with something like that, but you guys are so good at taking everything in stride.

We've been dealing with his epilepsy for over 20 years now so we've pretty much figured out how to handle the situations when they occur.

I've never had dinner at Ohana. We always have breakfast. We're not doing it at all this trip, but that might be something to keep in mind. Not sure my picky one would eat anything there, but it looks good to me.

Looking forward to the next installment!

I have read that some kids have ordered hot dogs and chicken strips at Ohana and it wasn't a problem at all.

Hi Lisa!:wave2: I'm late....really late but I'm here!:goodvibes I spent yesterday getting all caught up.:thumbsup2

Hey there! Good to see you!

Love seeing your pictures around CBR! It looks like such a relaxing resort. Glad Planet Hollywood was open so you could eat on your first night. Wow! 2 hours to get to the Boardwalk. Too bad there wasn't anything going on that night.:sad2:

That evening was such a bust!

Yay! for getting an ADR for Ohana!:thumbsup2 Even though our first experience there wasn't the best. I'm looking forward to trying it again now that the boys are older. Hopefully, they will be more adventurous next time.:)

You know how picky Hunter is so he didn't love it the first time we went either. Now, he loves it. So, it's definitely worth giving it another shot.

Sounds like a great Epcot day so far! Love Soarin' and Living with the Land.:lovestruc We only have one day planned for Epcot on our next trip so we will probably get a FP+ for Soarin' and head to TT at rope drop.

Good strategy!

So glad John was okay! Very scary but at least you know what he needs to feel better.

Looking forward to reading more.

Hope to get more posted soon!

We've got plans to go back to the World - and Caribbean Beach - in May 2016. Yup, almost 2 years away. But -- it's for our 25th Anniversary, and the total trip will be 2 and a half weeks! Until then, I'm living vicariously through others' trip reports. :rotfl:

Oh my 2 1/2 weeks of pure Heaven! Well worth waiting for!

Definitely worth waiting for! The trip will involve a few days in the Keys, some Disney time, some Universal time and the Auto Train home. Sounds like bliss to me.... :yay:

Glad to hear John felt better. Poor guy.

Love the Mission Space video! :thumbsup2 Love that attraction.

It took a while but the ticking stopped. Hate it when "real" life interrupts our trips.

All caught up again. Your Epcot morning was eventful.

To the Land with the masses!! ;) I enjoy Living with the Land, as well. It is a peaceful little ride. And I LOVE the smell in there. Sort of like Pirates and Splash. Those Disney smells just stay with you.

Yep, I know those Disney smells. Wish I had them at my own home.

Mission Space  I know I CANNOT do the Orange side any more. I did the Green side last summer. I survived, but still felt a little OFF. But nothing like when I did the Orange side years back and had to lie on a bench for 30 min after to let the effects wear off.

After Lacey found out about her sinus arthymia (spelling?) she is afraid to do the more intense side. So, when she's with us, we do the weinee side.

You sound so cute in your video. As another poster said, now there is a voice to go with the story!!

Oh Lawd Have Mercy! I hate hearing my own voice. :rotfl2:

Sorry that John felt bad after MS. It's hard for others to understand these diseases that are "unseen". Glad that a little rest and his "magic" pill made him feel better. Seizures are the pits.

It really is tough.

You are right. Hunter's "ride" didn't seem too wild and crazy looking at it from the outside. My DS loves Innoventions. He could stay in there designing rides for himself all day.

That's the way Hunter is. He could stay in there all day long.

Can't wait to read what's next!

Hoping to get another update posted soon!

Oh my, poor John! I'm so sorry he has to live with epilepsy and that you all have to deal with it. I"m glad he recovered quickly, though.

I also love your voice! So cute!

Sum of all Thrills looks cool! Maybe we'll try that this year.

Epilepsy sucks not only for the patient but for the family as well.

Hunter said that the roller coaster that he designed was more intense than it looks in the video. I'm not so sure that I'd try it. I'd probably make something that flipped me all over the world and back.

Poor John! I am so glad that it didn't take too long for him to start feeling better!!

Sometimes, he'll be out of commission for quite a while. This time, it was not too terribly long.

I'm so glad that you are enjoyin' the report. We are a "what you see is what you get" family. Most times, that's a good thing. ;):lmao:

Congrats on your 30th! There's no better place to celebrate than with Donald & Pluto in my opinion.

It is nice to hear how others deal with invisible disabilities with grace. I'm bi-polar and that can lead to some very interesting days. Our plans need to be very "free & open" to allow me the chance to bow out of things without causing a fuss. John is a sweetheart and will often notice me loosing control before i feel the change myself and will gently touch my elbow and give me a small wink. This is a subtle signal for both of us to quietly leave a situation.

You are blessed that John is able to recognize the symptoms early and can alert you even if you aren't aware of them. That's true communication and love right there.

You are making me even more excited about our resort choice! I love the fact that it is so large and will give us the ability to request a room FAR REMOVED from the hub-bub to give me the chance for quiet recharging :thumbsup2

See...that's what I like about the CBR. I like that it's big and spread out. It gives us room to breath without having everybody breathing down our necks.

It's been a while since I last rode Living with the land....probably 2009??? I didn't realize they didn't have a human guide anymore...heck maybe they didn't then either and I just didn't remember. :rotfl2:

What the crapola Jen? 2009? You gotta get back on there Ms. I am the wife of a dairy farmer!

I sitll have not tried mission space....but we did do Ellen this year. I did it years ago, but this was Claire's first time.....I remember it being better....it was pretty boring...and of course I was fighting sleep the whole time. :faint:

Well, you know how John is on Ellen. He's always a sleepy head. This time it was just the pills that made him sleepy.

Glad John got to feeling better.

We were too!

:lmao:

Oh my gosh! I told John that I'd be in Hog Heaven if we had a tomato tree. I'd sit right under it with a salt shaker and be happy as can be.

You sound like my Mama. No enclosed spaces for her. I almost had to rip her out of a shirt one day in the JC Penney dressing room. She was about to freak out when she thought it was stuck.:rotfl:

I am glad that your hubby ended up being alright. That bites that y'all have to deal with epilepsy.

Bites is a really nice word for it. ;) I can think of several others.

DS loves the Sum of All Thrills also. He's going to take DH on it with him next time we go. I know it's only your head that is enclosed but, I don't think I want to do that either. :scared:

We may all possibly do Sum of All Thrills next trip. I'll just make sure that I'm the one doing the designing so it'll be tame.

I haven't done Living with the Land before but I've got to change that- next trip. I can't handle mission space nor the teacups at MK... :(((

Definitely try to schedule a ride on Living with the Land. No need to use a FP for it though. I've never seen a wait more than 20 minutes with most times being lots shorter.

It does make it seem worse when you are sick while on vacation. It's bad enough at home but vacation is suckier.

There's never a good time to need a medical break, but it's especially frustrating when it happens on your vacation. Thank goodness nothing more needed to be done and a short break helped with the recovery. Continuing on in Epcot sounds like a good thing to me.:thumbsup2

We never know if the twitches are going to take him down for the count or it will be something that comes and then goes. Thankfully, this time, it wasn't bad enough for us to leave.

This was the first time that I had seen the mango slushie and thought that it would be something good to cool John off since hot flashes (for lack of a better term) occur when he has his twitches. He didn't like it at all but I loved it. Let's see if I can describe where the stand was.....When you walk through the Innoventions building beside MouseGears and see Mission Space in front of you, walk just a little ways and look to your left. The stand was about half way between Innoventions and Ellen.

The people sitting on the floor do cause me to roll my eyes. Especially if you happen to look around, 90% of the folks lounging around are kids and/or young adults. I just have to laugh that the adults can suck it up and manage the feet fatigue better than the children.:rolleyes2

I get that some people are plain and simply tired but there are no seats in the middle of the pre-show area which to me makes it pretty obvious that you shouldn't plop down.

Posting for both updates:

Love the video of Mission Space! While it's not my favorite ride, I do enjoy it. And your screaming definitely added to the enjoyment while watching it! :lmao:

I was trying my best to restrain myself but screaming makes it funner. Yes, funner is a word.;)

Scary that John's epilepsy started bothering him, but I'm glad he started to feel better by the end of the attraction! Love the video of Sum of all Thrills too, that is one of the only attractions I've never done as the line is always so long! I'm determined that George and I will do it on our trip. :goodvibes

We were happy that the epilepsy flair up didn't totally disrupt out day.

The wait time wasn't too bad so Hunter decided why not. I really don't think that it took the whole 30 minutes either.

Getting caught up on the latest updates. Love your video of Mission Space, I have only done the mild side, I really would like to try the other one (I can never keep orange and green straight as to which one's which)

We've only done the milder side (green) once and much prefer the orange side.

I also Love all the pics on Living with the Land, I like that ride, although I can't help but miss the old version with the human guide and the cute little song they played ("Listen to the land")

I totally forgot about the song! Now I'm missing it too.

I liked the video of Hunter on the Sum of all thrills, too, we never make it into Innoventions so it was neat to get to see some of it.

This trip was longer so we were able to fit in some things that we normally wouldn't take the time to do like Innoventions. Loved having extra time.

So sorry John wasn't feeling well but glad he got better.

Oh and did you see I have a new ticker now?? I am so excited! :cheer2: :cool1:

Woo hoo! Lovin' that ticker! :cool1:

I'm so sorry to hear about Tim's brother. It's tough watching a loved one suffer so much so I understand your sense of relief. You know that the suffering is gone and they are in a much better place.

I don't think there's any reason for you to feel bad about planning the trip. Doesn't sound like the SIL is.

You got some really good ADRs! I've considered Biergarten many times but always pass it up for something else.

Welcome! So glad that you found me again!

I forgot to look and see if you had a ticker. When are you going in 2015? May, perhaps? Hum? That's when we are going back.

Yep, I saw picture proof of the murphy beds! It's going to be so nice for a family of 5 to have another moderate resort option. Be sure to let me know if you are able to book your room on the 30th!

Hi again!
I just adored your video of Missions Space!! your voice is ADORABLE! Midwesterner here.. :thumbsup2 This year will be our first on this ride since my daughter is finally tall enough (worst triplets ever not even the same height!) :lmao:

Ya'll are just plain old crazy! I think that I sound like a big old southern nut job. :lmao:

So, ya'll are going to ride it huh?

i am sorry he had a small seizure thankfully he was better. I hope the rest of your trip will be free of stupid seizures!!! The thrill looked kinda fun!!!!

We never know what, when or where epilepsy will rear it's ugly head. Thank goodness this was a short episode.

Yes i agree they are really fun glow-ey shoes in a black light!!!

Knowing me, I have even more glow-ey shoe pictures.

Definitely worth waiting for! The trip will involve a few days in the Keys, some Disney time, some Universal time and the Auto Train home. Sounds like bliss to me.... :yay:

I love reading about your auto train travels. It's so very different that anything that we have ever done.

Whew! I just got caught up on my replies. It's so much fun hearing from all of ya'll. :thumbsup2

My kiddos are visiting from Tennessee! Lacey and Jesse got in late Friday evening and will leave Thursday morning so they can be back at work on Friday. We haven't done anything special while they are here. It's just having them here that's special. Awww, isn't that the sweetest thing you've ever heard? :p

My niece and her husband are also in town (they live about 100 miles away and he works off 3 weeks on/1 week off) and have spent the last two evenings at our house just hanging out. That's the kind of house we have....a place that everybody can come to and feel welcome. :flower3:

Yesterday, when I got home from work, I immediately changed clothes and started canning/putting up more of the fruits and veggies from the garden and our fruit trees. Stood on my feet from 5:15 to 10:15 p.m. and my kitchen floor is sticky with drips from the syrup I made for the pickles and then for the fig preserves but, as I've said before, it's well worth the work.

I have a couple of prayer/positive thoughts requests if I may. My mother has been experiencing some dizziness and eyesight problems. The doctor has ordered some tests and they are being done today. Lacey, ever the doting granddaughter, went with her to the doctor yesterday and is going with her to the hospital today. We are hopeful that the symptoms aren't something serious and definitely not another artery blockage that caused her stroke a couple years back.

Also, John's brother and his wife are at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. She had surgery this morning. They are trying to correct a botched surgery that almost killed her a year ago. My brother in law sent a text about an hour ago saying that she is out of surgery and he'll send me more details later today.

Needless to say, last night was a pretty restless one for me (and I am sure for my other family members). Keep us in your thoughts and prayers please!

I am going to try to get another update done today but if my boss keeps bellowing orders like he has done so far this morning, it may not happen. Either he's going to blow or I am. :sad2: Let's just hope that those fresh tomatoes and cucumbers that I brought him to go with his lunch settle him down. ;)
