Disney dangled the visual weinee & Mickeystoontown gobbled it up! 10/26

Great update love the countries in Epcot! Haven't spent a lot of time in Mexico maybe we will when we leave in three days! I can't wait until we go.

Your family is in my prayers hope everything goes well.

It's always nice to have family in town, our house is the same way everyone comes over to hang out.

That bacon mac & cheese burger looks quite tasty! I may have to give that a try if we eat there in October.

Glad y'all were able to get into Mexico before the sky opened up.

I like that y'all got all silly with the statues after being all historical & stuff. :lmao:

And what a nice, interesting conversation y'all had with the lady from Mexico.

WOW! What a protected scooter that person had. I mean, really?!? And where was the driver?? :confused3 That may be one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen.

Great update!!

DD had to spend some extra time in Mexico one of the years we went and had taken the kids out of school. She had to do some research for her Spanish class. We learned a lot about their carvings and the ruins. Sometimes it is nice to get some education on vacation.

The photos of Hunter with Donald are so cute.

Sending prayers and good thoughts for your Mama and your sister-in-law. Hope that you get good news for both of them.

Your family is in my prayers. I hope all is well with your Mama..

you guys just seem like a blast to hang out with! you crack me up! Feeling all historic and learn-ey. then BAM you have a guy with a crutch in his crotch and he is a ball player?!? :rotfl:
Even your titles crack me up!!! The Mac and cheese burgers does look different good!
Hunter is SO MUCH FUN!!! loving your report!

I love that you spent some time in the Mexico pavilion - it's one of my favorites! And those wood carved animals - Animales Fantastico - are my parents' #1 souvenir every time they go to Disney, they're all over their little New England Cape house (so out of place and so adorable)

Hurray! I found you! We were at Disney for the same dates that you were :thumbsup2 Great minds, and all that. We actually had several days of overlapping plans, when we were at the same parks. Did you see us? :lmao:

Once we get home, it always takes me a month or so before I get back on the Disboards because it's too depressing when your long awaited trip is so over. We stayed at the Beach Club, and spent the same day at Epcot as you did. Looking forward to the rest of your report, and comparing notes!

Fun update! I LOVE Hunter's pictures, especially the one where he's posing like the statue.

Those wood carvings are beautiful. We'll have to check them out when we go.

I can't believe that contraption for the scooter. Looks like it took up a lot of room.

I will keep your Mama and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I hope all is okay with her.

That Hunter is one crazy guy! As I have said before, there's never a dull moment when he's around.

Can you believe that scooter? It was crazy! If we think that a poncho is hot, can you imagine what it would be like all zipped up in that thing.

Thank you for the prayers!

Love the update! Looks like you guys made the best of a rainy time. I love all the little details Disney does...

We did! I hadn't realized that there was so much to see in Mexico.

Yay for Lacey, Jesse, your niece and her husband all visiting. That is great that they are there for a while, I know you miss Lacey with her being far away.

Prayers and good thoughts for your Mama and SIL. I hope both are resolved easily and safely with good prognosis' for the future. I knew someone who had heart surgery at that Mayo Clinic a few years ago and she said the staff there were all great.

That Mac n cheese burger looks great, and I have a feeling George will try it when we are there. It's right up his alley, food-wise.

Hunter takes such great pictures :rotfl: Seriously though, he is hilarious in his poses.

This is our last evening with Lacey and Jesse. They'll be leaving tomorrow morning.

Thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers!

John said that the burger was very good and if it's still there in May, 2015, he's ordering it again.

Hunter is a goofball and a half!

Yes, I am super picky, too. They don't have pizza :rotfl2: but they have lots of salads, soups that are usually pretty good, pretzel rolls, roasted potatoes they also have schnitzels (which is basically breaded meat -)chicken and Veal, the chicken would be like a chicken fillet or tender. Usually a carved pork loin and rotisserie chicken too.

No pizzzzzzzza? NOOOOOOOO! Just kidding! The roasted potatoes and schnitzels sound really good. Hunter loves him some rotisserie chicken too. I have a weird question for you. Even though we are super outgoing and not at all shy, we don't care too much for sharing tables with strangers. Does it feel odd eating with all those other people?

Do try and spend time in the Mexico pavilion. There are a lot of things to see that we normally pass right on by.

Thank you so much for the prayers!

I could go for one of the mac & cheese burgers right this very second and it's not even lunch time. Apparently, my two peanut butter crackers have worn off.

The covered scooter ranks right up there with the oddest of odd in our "we have seen" book. The other was a guy that we saw a few years back who had every single inch of his vest and and hat covered in anything Tinkerbell. He even had them hanging from his belt.

Great update!!

It really is nice to stop and see more of what's in the pavilions besides the attractions themselves.

Hunter is such a nut!

Thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers!

Thank you! They really are appreciated!

We are a fun loving family and like to hang out together. I'm so glad that my kids still think that John and I are the coolest things ever. (Or at least that's what they tell us when we are around. When they get away from us, they probably whisper bad things about us. :lmao:)

It's fun for me to come up with the titles to the next chapters. Usually, they come from something that was actually said by one of us. Everybody who travels with us knows if I take a picture of it, it's going on my trip report. So, if you don't want it known to half the universe, keep it to yourself. ;)

Really? I am envious of them. Every single year, I say that's what I am going to buy and I never do. Next year....next year, it's happening.

Hey and Welcome! I do remember that we had some of the same park day plans. Guess we didn't see each other or we would have met up.

Yeah, I suffer from Disney depression too. I'm just waiting for the 30th to come around so I can book again.

We walked over to the Beach Club later in this day. Look and see if you see yourself in any of my pictures. Wouldn't that be something?

I have a bit of an update on Mama and my sis-in-law.

Mama and Lacey spent the entire afternoon at the hospital having Mama's tests run. She had an echocardiogram done and it was done right on schedule. The next test was an ultrasound on the arteries in her neck. She had a blockage there a few years back. They were running a little late getting her into the room but when they did, the technician who performed the test is someone that we've gone to church with for many years. She's not much older than Lacey but worked with the youth a lot when Lacey was in the group. Even though my Mama didn't know her, it did make Mama relax a bit more knowing that a familiar person was performing the test.

The last test scheduled was the MRI and it was supposed to be done around 2:00 or so. At 4:30, they still had not taken her back. There were several emergencies that had to be worked in. The MRI is the one test that Mama was most worried about. She has extreme claustrophobia and was not looking forward to the MRI. Lacey called at 4:45 and said that they had taken her back and she could actually see Mama in the other room. They were able to do the MRI without putting her entire body into the machine. She was in from the shoulders up.

The test results are supposed to be faxed over to the doctor/clinic some time to day but I'm not holding my breath. But, I do hope that they are so that Mama can get some answers. She's already a worrywart and the longer she waits for the results the more time her mind has to conjure up some goshawful medical problem.

John talked to his brother last night and my sis-in-law was doing well. From what the doctors can tell, it was a complete success. Now, whether or not, it will actually fix all of her stomach/colon/pancreas problems, they don't know. It's one of those wait and see things. They were sent back to their hotel yesterday afternoon (I believe that I may have mentioned that it's not a hotel/hotel. It's affiliated with the clinic.) and she was resting when I sent them a text yesterday afternoon.

They were supposed to go see the doctor this morning and see if they would discharge her.

About an hour ago, I got a text saying that she had been discharged and they had a flight at 4:00 this afternoon and would arrive home tonight around midnight. The doctor here (who also happens to be my Mama's doctor) will do the follow-up check-ups and continue any sort of treatment that's necessary.

There was one other thing that I had not mentioned before but was weighing on my heart. One of Lacey's childhood friend's son was born with a slight deformity and they had a visit with a specialist yesterday. They came away with a wonderful report from the doctor and they will wait until the baby is older before they do the surgery.

Sooooo, ya'll that's the update on the medical issues going on.

Lacey and Jesse leave tomorrow morning and we won't see them again until Thanksgiving when we travel to Tennessee for a long weekend.

Relative to my trip report, I am looking through my pictures and will upload more to Photobucket. I have enough already on Photobucket for another update but it's going to be short.

Thank ya'll again for the kind words, thoughts and prayers!

Prayers are still with you and your family. as always and also the baby!

Same here. we are a close nit family.

yes your titles are a dang riot!!! Love it all! I agree anything that is photo-able is going up on something!!!! :lmao:

Lisa, I had a whole long reply typed up last night, and then fat fingered something and the whole thing went POOF! :headache: I was about to leave work, so I didn't have time to retype it. Anywho... great to hear the good reports on your mama and sister-in-law. :goodvibes

That Mac and Cheese Bacon Burger does look good. Disney has a new obsession with Mac and Cheese and Bacon, it seems. There is a hot dog with bacon mac and cheese somewhere over in HS, too. It all makes me think of Cliff and Theo Huxtable's favorite treat on Cosby Show..the BACON BURGER DOG!!! I have always wondered what the heck that was! :confused3 :rotfl2:

That covered scooter made me laugh so hard...that is unreal. :rotfl: And what's even worse, in my opinion, is that the driver was probably up walking around somewhere, which made it completely unnecessary. :sad2:

Love Hunter's silliness. Y'all must be the most fun to hang with! :thumbsup2

I know how sad you will be to see Lacey and Jesse leave. My mom is always really sad for a day or two when we leave. :sad1: Knowing when the next time you will see each other will be helps, though! :goodvibes

Your updates are fantastic, as usual, you and your family have many fans!

Still, I am more happy about the updates to your family's health and I am hoping to hear good news about your mother soon. She is an inspiration to us all from last year's report! I hope to have her strength and stamina.

Following too.
It's been years.
You know the saying,
"Careful what you wish for".
Just been TR "overload".

Hum, looks like we didn’t take a single picture when we were in Hattiesburg
OMG, you need to stalk Brett Favre. I hear he likes to cut his own grass.

Prayers going up for you and yours! Hope everything works out well.

Glad to hear that your family was coming for a visit. I love when mine show up. I have my 2 grandsons for a few days. Spoiling time! ::yes::

The bacon mac & cheese burger...it did have a burger with it right? LOL I stared at it and could not find one unless that was it on the very right side of the pic?

That EVC...holy kaka! :lmao: I have never seen anything like it.

Yeah for Donald. It does not happen often that they all of the sudden just show up and ya gotta love it when they do.

People that don't watch or care about what their kids do...Urgh, I hate that!

Glad to hear your SIL is doing well.

I hope your Mama gets and equally good report soon. Poor thing, being such a worry wart. I am the same way, so I can sympathize.

Glad to hear the baby is alright too.

And I'm sorry your visit with Lacey and Jesse is almost over, but so glad you had a nice visit with them.
